"Death is not always the end that one would think it is..." She shook her head a bit and started down the street once more, her long hair fanning out around her a bit... "Let us find you a tav... er a Pub..."

The night's mist still falling silently around him, Trent smiled broadly before chuckling. "Nothing could make me happier then a mug of hot toddy and a beautiful woman." Lifting one hand to shake the excess of water from his head and letting it settle into it's normal rumpled and disorganized mess before he offered his arm to Lady Raven and glancing about for some open building before spotting the distant light of a tavern up ahead.

It took a moment or two of walking, but finally they arrived none the worse for wear, and the young man moved away from the woman only to gallantely open the door, not caring if anyone else could see her or not. "Two hot toddies please" before looking around and settling upon the divan and chair in front of the fireplace. With a loud whomph of triumph, he flopped backwards and almost toppled over backwards, managing to right himself only at the last moment. Looking back up at Raven through the mop of black hair, he grinned roguishly. "Care to use my lap for a chair or shall we find you something a little more...comfy?" His hand coming up to glide familiarly along her arm that wasn't quite alll there.

She looked at him with incredubility but suddely poped down on his lap with a smile that would have chilled most men to the bone. "Now I see why I was drawn to you... You are a rouge in disguise." twisted

(( Did...you just flash-flood Latent? Because it looks like you just killed everybody and did the ghouls job's for them. ))

"Mistress is in her room." Fiole found this such an odd question to ask, as she began pouring out a cup of tea for the female to drink from.

Victor had brought in the girl about two weeks ago, and only told Fiole that she was to be taken care of, but not allowed to actually leave. Fiole wordlessly accepted the task and watched over the woman as she slept, and slept, and slept.... her sleeping plagued by countless dreams, words of which would often slip out.

"Master V-Vahn will be around shortly, he apologizes for not being here at this moment and time." she had nearly said Victor's name.. but honestly wondered how much longer the charade would last.

~~~
"If you would do me the pleasure of accompanying me." Victor smiled, as he led Ra'kar from the table, and towards the beach, which was now simply devoid of blood, bodies and anything else that would have shown that abattle had been fought here.
"I have a little meeting to attend."
With that said, Victor's arm was held out, and a rip in the very air was created, as if it were made of several partitions and blocks, opening up to a sea of blackness. A dimensional rift had been opened....
*Ra'kar smiled at him flirtaciously and as she sashayed towards him, she swooped, dipping in her posture and movement like a crane bowing to pluck a fish from the river. Rising from the curtsey, she links her arm through his and cocks her head to the side curiously.*
"The pleasure would be mine Victor dear."
Stepping through the tear, darkness swallowed the both of them. Dim lights could be seen flickering here and there, but they were far away, as if in unknown and unseen corridors.
Their footsteps would echo out hallowly, until at each step a light would burst forth. Eventually the room was given slightly better illuminance.
"We have returned safely,"
The voice came from nowhere, but Victor never slowed in step, as he made his way what now appeared to be a long strip of hallway, leading to a small rise. upon the rose, two chairs of the darkest oak had been inlaid with runes. Victor led Ra'kar up the steps and to one of the seats, before seating himself.
"Master Victor."
Settling in, the lighting seemed to improve, as flames danced about and casted shadows in every direction. Standing right in front of where the two seats were, a young man garbed in a strange white clothing stood, with a slightly larger and more feral looking "man" knelt upon the ground behind him. The larger one seemed to be missing most of his right arm.
"Welcome home. Ezekiel. Samuel." Victor smiled warmly as the lighting began to shift, and now it was apparent that there even more people within the room.
"Now, come and relate the fruits of your expedition....to your twenty brothers."
~~~

"My name is Fiole, if Mistress must know."

The maid set the cup of tea, right beside the woman's hand, as she stood at the side of the bed, merely waiting to see if she required anything else.

"Master Victor has said that you are allowed to walk about the grounds, but has not permitted that you leave."

It didn't appear that she slipped, or made a mistake. She had indeed said the right name. Perhaps the jig was up, sooner than expected?

Kana was about to take a sip of the tea when she stopped suddenly. "Victor? Who's Victor?" The woman didn't really slip up, Kana had known all along, deep down, that he wasn't Vahn. She had only wanted him to be Vahn. Now the gears in her head were turning, nuerons were firing, chemicals were flowing and things were starting to seem suspicious. Despite this, she still held on to the belief that the man who's home she was sleeping in, was her ex-husband. She needed to believe it because it put her mind at ease.

((Way late. Sorry. Since it seems my job is done Im getting out of this one.))

"No... really, I..."

Silver had continued to try and defy his surprising and unwanted savior, when someone else had just seemed to appear. With his vision still bad, he couldn't make out who this person was, but even if he could, he was sure he didn't know them. If his body where in good enough shape to move, he probably would have shot to his feet, startled. Unfortunately, nothing worked well enough to even do that.

He heard them talking, but couldn't make out any words. To him, everything sounded so far away. Almost like he was underwater. Things didn't seem to be getting any better for his senses. He tried to move again, but couldn't even manage. Finally, darkness over took him. Falling unconscious, his body would have an easier time fighting off the neurotoxin with him resting rather than exerting himself while awake.

Now all he needed was someone to find him...

*****

An indescernable amount of time later, light assaulted Silver's shut eyelids. Slowly slipping back into consciousness, he opened his eyes, only too shut them tight again, the brightness too much for his illadjusted eyes after his long rest.

As his vision slowly adjuested, he sat up groaning, rubbing at his sore head idly with one hand. He looked around to find himself in the bed he usually slept in, in the familiar setting of the modest house in Latent he had been laying low at with Mitsuyo since the Stadium's destruction.

Silver looked down to find his shirt missing, and then at his hand to find all his wounds from the recent battle newly cleaned and dressed.

"What the hell..."

As too much time has passed since the event took place, it is now decided that Latent has survived the ghoul attack.

Rebuilding and normal role-plays may go under way as normally scheduled.

Thank you for your time and apologies to all involved.

Next time don't take so long.

While strolling through the streets, Lucind provided Kraun with some basic facts of Latent. She spoke about its importance as a merchant town, mainly popular for fishing and hunting products and its diverse market. Another characteristic of Latent was its multi cultural population due to its connection to the trade route with Barton and other towns - and it was known for the native Atlanteans.

She also gave him a rough description of the town's structure with the market area being the center, the gardens around. The Inner City came next - it was actually the part of Latent where Feimurgan was placed: there were so many different shops, cafes, inns and stores it seemed you could almost get everything there, even weapons and armours. Though on this day, Sunday, it wasn't as busy and crowded there than usually.

After telling that the Outer City was mostly inhabited by fishers and hunters, Lucind mentioned the Shrine of Water, the Lantian train station - she loved its architecture - and that the docks connected the town and the newly built stadium.

He walked close to the Lucind, just a few feet behind her and to the side, almost next to her. His arms were behind his back with his wrists crossed over each other, sort of like a scholar's pacing, only instead of a scroll in his hands, he had the rosary wrapped around his left wrist and in his right fingers. His head however, was downcast, watching the ground as he followed her and listened to her explain about the town and the area around it.

The most sound he made the entire time was a light exhale made to indicate he understood and got all the inforation. "Hmm."

After all those explanations she was thirsty and asked for a short rest.
Sitting in a plain but charming inn, Lucind had a malt beer. When she looked around at the other guests it occured to her that this was an opportunity to give the monk a first lesson about emotions.

Lucind chose different situations of communication to comment on various feelings and their possible origin.

There was a group of men playing cards who were fully into it and roared with laughter or got angry when losing their stake.
A little boy quarreling with a girl about a toy.
A young woman sitting in a far corner who was crying and being comforted by a friend.
One guy from the card game group tried to hit on the attractive waitress and finally got slapped for groping her butt.
At the table next to them sat a woman holding her baby, gently rocking it in her arms.

She just wanted to see in how far he was familiar to people's body language.

Joy and anger.
Greed.
Sadness.
Lust.
Love.

He learned these things by the actions of the people around them as Lucind explained them. He himself showed no emotions in his actions or expressions as he sat down with a glass or water that he never touched.

He had an abstract understanding of these things, able to see signs of such emotions, but he did not know the cause or the feelings driven to them. The monk nodded in understanding.

"You see, it can be really useful to learn to read people's gestures and facial expressions - even if you don't feel the corresponding emotion."

She rotated the glass between her hands. Looking at Kraun made her want to ask many other questions but she thought it to be better to wait and bring on each question at its time.
While they were walking through the town Lucind had pondered how likely it was he met here someone he'd faced in the center of the arena on that day. Not all of them had vanished...

The woman leaned back.
"By the way, the Guldorian monks said you'd suddenly appeared some day. What do you remember? I mean, did you come from?"

"I remember an endless field of white." he answered, indicating the tundra. But that also meant he remembered nothing before then. "I was never told to learn, but I knew that is what I am to do." he added, a sign of his god's influence and his faith.

"Why do you ask?" Kraun asked in return, curiosity of learning driving him to do so.
