"Hmm... well what do you know to do?" He asked with a slight laugh.

" well I was a maid at my okiya not too long ago, so I can cook, and clean all the household stuff." she smiled.

He laughed and gave her a smile. "Would you like to start cleaning the fish? Give me just a moment and I'll get one." He jogged down to the small pond that had gathered at the edge of the stream and sat on the edge. He dipped his tail in the water and waited. As he cringed, he pulled up a good sized fish and unhooked it from his tail. He brought it back to Yuri. "Is that okay?"

"Hai." She took the fish and placed it on some paper and put on an apron then began to clean the fish. As she cleaned the fish she hummed a song she learned long ago when she was younger.

Shagatsu admired Yuri's singing while he prepared the rest of the meal. "That is a pretty song," He said, "If it pleases you, would you sing it for me?" He asked a little shyly. "Forgive me, music and women are my one weakness..." Shagatsu said, a little red in the cheeks.

She smiled And noded as she finished cleaning the fish. " It's alright I actually enjoy singing."
She sat watching Shagatsu-sama as she began to sing the song from her childhood.

Anata had wandered out of her okiya for the very first time. She was now a maiko and had an two older sisters and another sister around her age. Her bright jade eyes gazed at the beauty of the shrine and her ears were delighted to hear the sound of someone singing. She could hardly wait before she started to do stuff like that!

Masao was lured by the sound of water and a variety of scents he remembered from his childhood. His nodachi was slung over his back as he walked with his arms folded across his chest. His eyes glanced around him before catching someone whom he believed to be heading the same course as him. His pace was apparently much quicker than hers and before long he was walking alongside her and slowly passing her. He turned his head, looking to the girl as his ears picked up on the song ahead. "Could you tell me what lies beyond this path?" He had a faint idea of what, just by the scents he picked up on, but was nowhere near familiar with the territory.

The maiko did not even know that another was taking strides next to her until he spoke.
"I assume a shrine or something because of all of the steps ahead." Anata replied to him. She glanced up at him, her jade eyes curious to know who was speaking with her.

He smiled softly as he caught her eyes and gave a light nod. "I knew the scent was familiar." He glanced upward to the steps before returning his sight to her. "But how rude of me, I presume I may of frightened you with my unannounced approach. I am Masao."

"It is always pleasant to know a handsome stranger's name." She giggled softly, "My name is Anata or Ana-chan to my family. I am a maiko at the Kazenotanpopo Okiya."
The steps came on quickly, she did not see where she was going and fell forward onto the steps. She did not fret and nor did she cry, Ana felt a sharp shooting pain in her ankle. This did not look good.

His cheeks reddened at her compliment, chuckling a bit as he lifted his hand to scratch the back of his head. "It's a pleasure to meet you Anata." His eyes widened a bit as he saw her trip over the steps and lunged forward in an attempt to catch her, but was already too late. He knelt beside her, looking to her with a slight frown, feeling responsible for her to fall. "Are you hurt at all?" He could tell if she was hurt it would be to the ankles, but was unsure which ankle it was.
He pulled his nodachi from off his back and placed it to the side of the steps. "Let me carry you the rest of the way or to wherever you may want to go."

Anata looked up to the man batted her soft lashes at him. Her green eyes signaled the pain she was feeling.
"I will be all right, I do not want to be a burden for you." The teen said as she did her best to get up. "I should get back to my okiya . . . my Onee-sama will be wondering where I've been off to . . ."

"It wouldn't be a burden at all. Please let me. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if you were to further injure yourself." He knelt with his back turned to her. "Climb on and I shall carry you to wherever you wish to go. To the edge of the world, even, if you should ask so." He looked over his shoulder, back at her with a smile.

She watched him bend over to help her out. Masao told her to climb on, but she hesitated.
"I am not sure I should. I am in a kimono . . . and I do not want to damage it. Also, I do not want my Onee-sama to think low of me."
