After about ten minutes of waiting, Kilik turned around to see Nurse Joy handing over his PokeBall. "Your Pokemon is fighting fit!" she smiled, waving at him, "Hope to see you again!" Kilik waved good-bye to the Nurse after clipping Cable's ball back to his belt and walked outside, Chimchar right on his heels the whole time. "Now remember our deal, Chimchar," Kilik said, lifting up the Fire-type's Pokeball, "We're getting back on the bike. Looking somewhat downtrodden and angry, Chimchar couldn't even protest before getting blasted with the red beam and sucked back into the ball. The boy clipped the sphere back to his belt and began undoing the chain he'd placed on his shiny Mach Bike.

"Oh man, d'jya hear?" a voice said, "Some kids are gettin' taken away up in Floaroma! By a buncha Drifblim!" "That's awful!" said the girl who was with the man, as they walked into the Pokemon Center, "What're they doing about it?" "Not much they can do," he replied shrugging, "Those Drifblim are pretty smart, and Floaroma doesn't exactly have the best trainers in Sinnoh. Kilik coughed to get their attention.

"Say," he asked, fumbling with the lock, "Where is Floaroma? I'm a pretty tough Trainer and I think I could help them!" The man looked at Kilik and raised an eyebrow. "Good luck," he laughed, pointing north, "Just go north out of the city and there'll be a cave. Make your way through it and when you come out on the other side, it'll be a football field's distance away." "You must be some kind of hero," the girl giggled.

"Well," Kilik laughed, hopping onto his bike, "You could say that!" He backed up a bit and waved good-bye to the two people going into the Center, thanking them for the information and began pedalling in the direction the man told him. I guess going to Oreburgh will have to wait! he thought with a smile, Hero time! His heart hurt a little and he wished that Mike was there with him. The two of them had been involved in so many heroics together that it felt strange to do something like this without him. Tightening his grip on the handles, Kilik swerved in and out of pedestrians, headed straight for Route 204.

Biking through Jubilife was more of a chore than something he could enjoy. With all the people in the town, he had to pay more attention to his surroundings than he really wanted to when he was riding his bicycle. The scenery of Route 204 was very similar to the route connecting Verdanturf with Mauville in Hoenn. White picket fences, rock formations and even a small pond. As he rounded the corner, he saw a female trainer with a Starly battling against a rose bud looking Pokemon. Interested as to what it was, Kilik slowed down and planted his feet on the ground. He pulled his PokeDex out of his side bag and held it up.

"Budew, the Bud Pokemon. The pre-evolution of Roselia, it is a Grass/Poison type. When it feels the sun's rays, it opens the bud on to release pollen. The pollen it releases causes harsh sneezing and runny noses. During the winter, it closes its bud and endures the cold. It typically lives near clear pools of water." Kilik tucked the device away and crossed his arms, watching the battle unfold in front of him. When the Budew finally fainted, he took note that the Starly hadn't even taken any damage since he had gotten there. "Excuse me!" Kilik waved his arm.

The girl turned her head and raised her eyebrow at him. "Yes?" she asked, holding her arm out as her Starly flew up and landed on her forearm. She used her other hand to scratch the bird directly beneath his beak. Pleased with how she was touching him, the bird opened his wings slightly and trilled happily.

"I was wondering if I could interest you in a battle," he hopped off his bike and threw down the kickstand, smiling at her, "I'm headed towards Floaroma and I could use a bit of a warm-up for that cave." He snatched up Chimchar's Pokeball and nodded at her. "So?"

She pondered for a moment and looked over at her Starly. He was in pretty good condition and could easily go for another battle. The bird nodded and hopped onto the grass, spreading it's wings to look as intimidating as possible. "I guess that's a yes! My name's Shirley," she smiled.

"Kilik," he replied, tossing Chimchar's Pokeball, "Alrighty Chimchar, let's go!" When the ball opened, the simian jumped out and spun, landing on his feet. He glared at the Starly across the way, the flame on his tail growing larger just from the thought of battle. "Ladies first," he nodded.

"Well, thank you," she smiled, "Starly, start off with your Quick Attack!" The bird took off like a rocket, white streams coming from it's wings.

Kilik new just how important attacks like Quick Attack, or even Bite were to low level Pokemon. They enabled the Pokemon to hit fast, and with a stronger attack than their starting moves like Tackle or Scratch. He'd even abused Quick Attack's availability in Cable's younger days, as it was the first attacking move he'd ever learned. With that, Cable was able to outrun and outpower his opponents easily. Bracing himself, Chimchar planted his feet firmly into the dirt and held his hands up, catching the opposing Starly in his palms, growling as he pushed against it. "Chimchar, use Blaze Kick!" Kilik called out. His foot ignited with a bright red flame, and a smirk appeared on his lips. Quickly shoving the Starly away, he swung his foot straight up to the underside of the Starly's beak, knocking the bird Pokemon straight into the air.

"Oh!" Shirley gasped, putting her hands up to her eyes, blocking the sight. "Try your Quick Attack again!" Regaining its composure, the Starly flapped it's wings up in the sky. It glared down at the Chimchar and trilled loudly. Spreading its wings out wide, it shot down like a bullet, spinning to gain momentum. It crashed, hard, into it's target, pummeling the chimp into the dirt. The impact of the ground did hurt slightly, but it was alright to go. Hopping out of the hole it had made, Starly looked at it's trainer happily.

Kilik whistled and crossed his arms over his chest. That Quick Attack was impressive! The drop added a lot of damage to it, coupled with the spin he threw into it. For a starting Pokemon, that Starly knew exactly what to do. However, Chimchar would have none of it. He hopped out of the hole in the ground and his flame burst from his tail, his eyes red. His Blaze ability had kicked in and as far as he cared, he was going to beat that Starly until it couldn't move anymore! Raising an eyebrow, Kilik shook his head. He's got a temper that would make Aggron jealous he thought with a slight laugh. Round two was about to start!
PostPosted: Fri Jun 11, 2010 3:40 pm

After seeing the Chimchar shoot out of the ground, Shirley gulped. She sure seemed to make the chimp mad! "S-starly!" she pointed behind the bird. The Starling Pokemon looked over its shoulder and got a face full of another Blaze Kick, sending the bird crashing against the ground. It even skipped like a pebble on the pond, before landing in a heap beside Shirley. Panting heavily, Chimchar threw his head up into the sky and pounded his chest. "ChiiiimCHAAAR!" he stomped a few times as well, looking over his shoulder at Kilik. After realizing that his opponent was totally taken down, his flames settled down and his eyes returned to their normal color.

"Good job, Chimchar," he complimented, recalling the ape to its ball then clipping it to his belt. "Thanks for the match, Shirley," Kilik smiled, "He really needed to get some fighting in. He was getting restless!" He hopped back onto his bike and started to pedal past the girl.

"H-hey!" She stood up and stomped her foot, "Next time, go bully someone else!" She recalled her Starly and walked towards Jubilife to heal up. Kilik shrugged. She could see it as bullying all she wants, but a battle was a battle. It wasn't his fault that Chimchar got so mad. He turned another corner and nearly spun out of control when a stray Budew hopped into the path. He slammed on his brakes and grunted loudly when he rammed against his handlebars. "Look out!" he barked at the Grass-type. However, a Roselia appeared from the grass and began to escort the bud across. When Kilik looked over to see another small pond. It must've been time to rejuvinate in the water for them. Once they managed to cross, Kilik began to pedal once more, his cave destination in sight.

Since he had no idea what could be inside the cave, Kilik dismounted from his bike as soon as he pulled up to the entrance and dismantled it. After tucking it away in his bag, Kilik took a deep breath. He was used to caves - Rusturf Tunnel was his usual exploration spot back when he was a kid along with the couple times he went to Mt. Moon and Union Cave with his dad. He took a step inside and immediately felt the cold, damp cave air hit his face.

Train blinked as Carlos suddenly took the book from her, wanting to look over the picture some more and try to read the Unown writing herself. Though, she supposed she could always ask him for another look later. She smiled at him as he spoke and said, "Yeah, and from what I've seen, the regular Pokémon there are really cool, too." She was actually really excited for this new destination; she'd always liked the Pokémon from Johto that she'd seen in books and such, and was definitely planning on catching some.

Upon mention of her second badge, Train nodded almost furiously.
"Yes, She replied energetically, absolutely watning to go for her next Kanto badge before starting anywhere else. "You've never been to a gym before?" She asked in disbelief. While she'd only been to one gym herself, it seemed like Carlos had been out on the road for a bit longer than her, and she couldn't really understand why he wouldn't at least stop in with some companions or something.

Her eyes trailed up to the sky as Carlos mentioned stopping for the night and she was surprised at how little light there was left.
"Well... How far away are we? I'm pretty sure there's a Pokémon Center at the entrance, and they usually have rooms for trainers to stay in," She said. It seemed like just a suggestion, but quite honestly she just didn't want to spend the night outside. At all. Ever.

The Ravaged Path was your standard cave fare. Kilik pointed out a few Geodude, a couple of Zubat here and there. Nothing really jumped out at him in the cave, and for that he was thankful. He didn't know if he could actually resist capturing a new cave-dwelling Pokemon in Sinnoh. He hopped over a couple of rocks and was careful not to trip over another Geodude. Yet an encounter with the Rock-type was practically inevitable. One of the two-armed floating boulders approached the trainer and practically demanded a battle. Kilik checked his nav to look at the time. Perhaps battling this Geodude wouldn't take too long. After all, hitting it with a single Absorb from Treecko would handle it easy! "Alright buddy," Kilik laughed, tossing the ball that contained his Treecko. "You're gonna regret it!"

Treecko popped out of her ball and yawned. Why was it that Kilik always needed her when she was in the middle of a nap? Then again, it didn't matter to her. She was eager to please and would do anything her Master asked of her! She looked up at the Geodude and then over at her trainer. This was gonna be cake! At least, that's what Kilik and Treecko both thought. "Treecko! Knock it out with an Absorb!" The gecko nodded and blew hollow green bubbles out of her mouth towards her opponent. The bubbles smacked Geodude, hard, and brought all of his stamina over to her. She felt it heal up what little health she may have lost since the last time she visted the Pokemon Center. Regardless, she was at her full stamina once more and got down on all fours. She looked over her shoulder at Kilik and smiled. She just knocked out a Pokemon with one move!

The Geodude hovered up slowly, groaning to itself. "G-Geo...Geoduuuuuude!" It cried out. A soft rumbling went through the cave, and Kilik planted his feet hard against the floor. He laughed. "Apparently losing made it call to all it's friends! We can take this, Treecko!" All around them, Geodude were popping out from the walls, behind rocks, and even from the ceiling. Ten Geodude hovered down slowly and encircled the Treecko. She took a step back, cowering slightly. She'd never seen so many opponents at one time. Suddenly, the all came in at her in a group Tackle attack!

"Treecko, use Pound on the floor and jump into the air!" Kilik called out quickly. Without even thinking, she slammed her tail against the ground and shot up into the sky. Crisis averted! Oh, her master was so smart! "We're not out of the woods yet!" Kilik barked. This was going to take a lot of careful planning...And it was something that excited him. This was certainly going to prove exactly what she could do.

Nina bit her bottom lip as she watched the Medicham charging forward at Anna. This isn't working, she thought; I'm going to have to use my back-up plan and see what I can pull off. I've got one free turn, and then after that, we're both going to faint unless I can have Anna knock Medicham out at the end of the second turn... I have to try. She contemplated for a moment, making sure that this was the action that she wanted to follow through with. "Anna!" she called; "I want you to take the full force of that Thunderpunch!" Anna looked back at her Trainer for a brief moment with a slight look of confusion on her face. Just... trust me, the Psychic thought-spoke to her Pokemon. Nodding briefly, Anna turned back to face the oncoming Medicham; a second or two later, she was struck by a punch that sent a powerful surge of electricity throughout her entire body. She grimaced terribly. Jeez. Medicham sure packs a punch, Anna thought, no pun intended. It was unquestionable that another blow, even from a relatively weak attack, would be enough to do Anna in.

"Well done, Mateo," Nina complimented. "Very well done indeed. You've trained your Medicham well, and I have certainly underestimated you... However, that doesn't mean that you should count me out just yet." She cocked her head and smiled a little bit, looking from Mateo, to Anna, to Medicham, and back to Anna. "Pain Split."

Anna smiled. "With pleasure." Closing her eyes and concentrating, the Ghost Pokemon summoned up all of her remaining energy-- which, in truth, was not much-- and formed it into a ball. Upon opening her eyes, she fixed her gaze on Medicham, surrounding its body with a dark purple aura. She extracted its energy, of which there was a much greater amount, and formed it into a ball as well. In a swift movement, she combined both balls of energy into one for a brief moment, before splitting it back into two that had an even amount of energy distributed amongst them. One ball hovered over Anna, while one hovered over Medicham; it was a second or two before each Pokemon absorbed the ball of energy back into their body. This was extremely beneficial to Anna, as she had been hurt rather badly; she couldn't necessarily say the same for Medicham, however.

Nina smiled as the hand on the clock moved from 2 to 1, loosing another ominous ring. "Your move."

Sabrina watched from the background, smiling slightly. Nina never ceases to amaze me, she thought. That was a nice recovery... but can she win?

"Slowpoke?" Well that certainly was an unusual choice of pokemon for her, sure it had the type advantage but Slowpoke weren't really the best at battling. Roark looked down at the Ambipom at her side and then back at Robin, he was glad that she wasn't using that pokemon though. Ambipom were pretty strong and had a wide move pool that was hard to take into account. "All right then, Aerodactyl use your Thunder Fang on that Slowpoke."

"Slowpoke lets stop it in it's tracks with your Confusion!" Robin hoped that her pokemon could react in time in order to stop the charging Aerodactyl.

The huge pokemon was tearing towards the duo its impressive fangs covered in electricity that created a neat looking effect. Robin's Slowpoke just sat there staring with blank eyes, it was a question if it had even seen the other pokemon yet. When it looked like it was about to hit the bubblegum pink pokemon a surprised look appeared on the Slowpokes face and it accidentally blasted the ancient pokemon with a surprised Water Gun. The large pokemon let loose a loud roar as the water hit it right in the mouth causing the electricity it was building up to spark out of control all around its face and sensitive mouth.

"Eh? That wasn't Confusion." Robin muttered as she watched her Slowpoke back up, slowly mind you, towards Robin. What was going on exactly.

What was that thing? It was huge! He was supposed to fight that? Slowpoke had been so surprised that it had accidentally used its Water Gun attack. At least the large pokemon was backing away now.

"Well, that certainly was unexpected. Still Aerodactyl here is not out for the count! Aerodactyl use your Bite attack again!" Just as the order left his mouth the Aerodactyl was sent reeling back with a Confusion attack. It seemed like Robins earlier order had finally made it through the Slowpokes head. The Aerodactyl stumbled around some before falling down to the ground completely overwhelmed by the combination of attacks on it now.

The arena was silent as they all looked down at the fallen Aerodactyl for a very long moment. Robin was the first to break the silence with a loud woop of excitement at her victory. Robin and Luffy did a small victory dance together on their side of the arena.

Roark could only stare down in surprise, he clearly hadn't expected his Aerodactyl to fall like that. He silently recalled his pokemon and thanked it before handing it off to the healing Geodude.

"I can't believe that Slowpoke actually did it." Ampersand could only mutter.

"Préparez-vous, Prickles!" Sasha shouted as Jacob's Pokemon neared. The saurian-like Pokemon's head shone a brilliant silvery-white as it charged. Prickles twisted his feet and held out its arms, hoping its rooted stance would help him maintain his position. With a loud roar the Lairon crashed into his target and slammed its head into the Cacturne's chest. Fortunately, the previously set Ingrain helped keep Prickles in place, but the Pokemon's immobility caused the attack to hit at full force. With his legs rooted to the ground, Prickles didn't have the luxury of being tossed, but instead acted like a wall, taking all of the force from the blow Prickles gurgled in pain as the very heavy Pokemon slammed into him.

Sasha winced at the sight of the attack, but she knew that Prickles could take it. Actually, not only could he take it, he could get it all back. "Prickles! Giga-Sangsue! Prenez tout de retour!" With the Lairon very close (still digging into his chest, to be precise) the set-up couldn't have been better. Prickles grabbed onto the side of the Iron Armor Pokemon with a menacing chuckle. All of the spines on his body shot out, making the Cacturne resemble a walking pincushion. The spines that stabbed into the now restrained Lairon began to glow green as Prickles began draining the Pokemon's life force. The Cacturne's eyes dimmed as it attacked, leaving only black holes in its face, like a skull. When Prickles had his fill, he retracted his spines and dropped the Pokemon. The Lairon's energy flowed within him, mixing with his own. He had never sampled the life force of this sort of Pokemon before. It was rather tasty. After consuming the Lairon's energies, Prickles took a bite out of the leftovers he had with him (the same hamburger patty from the party. He had only pretended to eat it earlier.) and felt his roots grab some nutrients from the ground. After it was all said and done, Prickles felt good as new, while the Lairon was much worse off.

Ben saw his friend's Lairon get lured into the attack, but couldn't do anything about it. His own Pokemon was too busy getting knocked senseless by the boy's Kangaskhan. "Sarah, fight back with another Vice grip!" Much to Ben's surprise, the Mawile instead decided that chewing on its own face was a much better idea. "What?! No way! Confusion!?" The Pokemon grappled with itself, rolling on the ground as its teeth dug into its own head. Soon the pain caught up with it, and the Mawile screamed out in pain before passing out on the ground. "Oh no! Return Sarah!" Ben held out a Great Ball and recalled the Pokemon, taking out his second, and last Pokemon. "I think you know what's coming this time. Go Jackie!" A flash of light revealed the same Scizor that caused the turnabout victory in the last fight. The crowd began to cheer as the precious champion was sent out. Even Sasha felt her spirits lift in the presence of such a mighty Pokemon.

Jomei flinched a bit at the call's abrupt end. He wasn't expecting her to just hang up on him like that. Then again, yeah, he kind of was. "I bet that idiot's gunna run all the way there," he said out loud to anyone who was willing to listen. "She probably thinks it's some sort of race..." Jomei turned his head to the pokemon occupying his shoulder, "Well, whatever. We're just gunna take our time. Right Pizza?"

The cyndaquil yawned in his trainer's face and closed his eyes.

"I'll take that as a yes..." He mumbled, gripping the special gift in his arms tightly. He then made a quick turn on his heel and set off in the direction they had just come from. The purple clad young boy sighed and kicked a few rocks out of his path as he trekked back towards the city. He was a little annoyed that he had to walk ALL the way back, but he did want to see his sister. The foliage rustled slightly as a cool breeze blew through the forest, playing with his bangs as it made it's way past. Sounds of Pokemon stirring in the bushes could be heard all around. The boy gulped and kept a careful eye about him, hoping that none of the movement belonged to anymore of those angry trees.

"Hoo hoo."

"What was that?" Jomei questioned, diverting his gaze in the direction he thought the sound had come from.

"Hoooooooooo hooooooooooooo"

The boy looked every which way, hoping to find the source of the hooting. "Sure is echo-y in here..." he whispered to himself. He then decided to continue on. Probably just a Hoothoot he thought, none too concerned. I thought those things only came out at night...

As the boy, Cyndaquil, and egg progressed, Jomei could hear the call of the Owl Pokemon behind them. Even as he took his pace up a notch or two, the hootings kept up. Arrgh! what is this? Why is this thing following me!? He sucked a good amount of air into his lungs, turned his head up to the trees, and yelled.

"Alright! Show yourself already! You're hooting is really starting to get old!"

Pizza's little eyes fluttered open at the sudden shouting, and the Fire type turned it's body to see what it was all about. In an over sized tree that loomed above them, something started to shake, knocking a handful of green leaves to the forest floor. The culprit finally decided to show itself on a visible tree branch, and it hooted with pleasure. Pizza stared at the bird for a few seconds and once he decided that the thing posed no real threat, he closed his eyes once again.

"Hey! Wake up!" Jomei shouted unnecessarily at the lethargic pokemon. "I need you to go fight this thing, it's annoying the hell out of me."

"HA!" Junko shouted loudly in a crowded park as she stomped her foot down hard on the ground next to a vacant bench. She had made it to the National Park. One would normally be pretty exhausted after running full speed across the beach of Olivine, through Olivine City, Past MooMoo Farm, through Ecruteak City(which she had no time to stop and visit even though it was her home), down through Route 37, and finally arriving at the finish line. Okay maybe she happened to hitch a ride on a farm truck that happened to be going the same way for part of the trip, but she decided to keep that to herself. There were no rules in this race. And nope, she wasn't exhausted in the slightest, the girl was roaring and ready to go!

"Ha... I think...I...got here... first...!" she exclaimed, wheezing between words. She held herself up on the aforementioned bench and pulled a bottle of water from her bag. The girl offered some to her phantom after taking a few big gulps.

Hades declined the gesture and waived the bottle away. He wasn't really thirsty since he was dragged all the way here and didn't have to actually exert any effort. She probably backwashed into it anyway...

When the Duskull rejected the liquid, she took a few more gulps to finish it off. Junko looked about the area for a trash receptacle to discard the bottle in. In the distance she spotted four cans side by side.

TRASH, PAPER, PLASTIC, and GLASS.

The girl hurried over to the containers, her Duskull following closely behind. She looked to him, her face turning to a serious expression in a split second. She held out her forefinger at him and said, "You must always throw away your trash in a proper receptacle. Never litter." she continued on, "And always recycle if possible." After her speech, she proceeded to drop the empty bottle in the can marked 'PLASTIC'. Junko then adjusted her clothes a tad a began to look around again. This time for her brother. From what she could see, the boy didn't seem to be around. Heheheheh, looks like I really did win she thought, none too surprised. She was better than him at most things, or at least she liked to believe so. Even so she couldn't be too sure, she needed a way to take a better look around the park full of people. Her gaze fell on the skull bearing Pokemon by her side and it dawned on her. Duh, she thought, I can just get Hades to float up and look around for him.

"Okay Hades! I need you to go up high and look for Jomei!" she roared, grabbing him on each side of his skull and tossing the poor thing as high into the air as she could.

The specter wasn't really expecting such a thing to happen so suddenly without any warning at all. His crimson eye swirled inside his skull and he placed his ghostly appendages on his head and shook it back to normal. After so many years spent with this girl he was fairly used to these sorts of happenings, but even he got caught off guard every once in a while.

"Well?" she bellowed at him, "Do you see him?"

Claire crept up to Sprout Towers facade. Once next to the building, she peered around the corner to see what was going on at the entrance. From her position she could see that the man she had defeated earlier was talking with two other black uniformed men that seemed to be standing guard of the entrance of the tower. After a few glances he passed through and the other two goons stood alertly. Looks like I won't be going in that way...

Claire took another look around. There had to be some way for her to get in there. If she couldn't managed to do anything and these mysterious intruders ruined another one of Johto's precious monuments she just wouldn't be able to live with herself. How could she still be so powerless? She looked down at the sword on her belt, all the training and she still couldn't do much more than a Sentret using Tackle. Pokemon certainly were amazing creatures to be able to do all the things they could. The blonde girl took another look at the building.

"Bingo." A window up at about the level she could jump. Taking a few test stretches up and down to get ready she leapt into the air and safely suspended herself on the ledge by her arms. After scaling the wall with a only a few slips, she was precariously perched on the window sill. Now to just open... the... window. The frame defiantly stood locked in place.

Greeeaaaat. Thinking for a moment Claire remembered her precious Cyndaquil and quickly released the pokemon onto her shoulder. An Ember would do just the trick... actually, not Ember, but Extrasensory. Burning down the tower herself might save the bad guys the trouble, but it would give her exactly the opposite result than she desired. "If you please." Claire instructed the small fire mouse.

Kokoro closed her eyes (more so than usual, I guess, since they always seemed to be slits anyway) and then began to glow a soft golden hue. In a few moments the window did the same, and then with a soft thud, it slid open. Glad to have some space to move, Claire slid slightly closer into the interior and took a cautious glance into the open building. The main floor appeared to be deserted except for a few wandering Bellsprout that were huddled off in a corner looking somewhat scared. Claire cautiously slid down into the room and instructed Kokoro to close the window-better not leave any traces of their entry.

Since the Slateport incident, for the most part Flannery had tried her best to fall back into her normal routine - up at daybreak, her early morning run, a good breakfast, her daily chores (which differed day to day, depending on what needed to be done or as set out by her Grandfather), lunch with the Summers', her afternoon drills in the gym and training matches with her students - and though she wanted to pretend like everything was like it was before, she couldn't help but notice that she was simply going through the motions. It had only been a few days, but at the same time it felt like months had gone by. She couldn't even remember what she'd had for breakfast this morning, and even the kindly Mrs Summers, who generally seemed to be oblivious to nearly everything around her most of the time had picked up on the redhead's depression, though she'd managed to talk her way out of it, at least for now. She knew Keegan's mom meant well and was only trying to help in her own, weird way, but at the same time she didn't want anyone prying into her personal life, especially the notoriously gossipy Mrs Summers.

It won't be long before she blabs everything to Grandfather, she thought, having decided to give up on her training early. She was at the Pokemon Center and preparing for her usual soak in the hot spring, and she was heading through the doors and out towards the relaxing and incredibly inviting water when she heard her phone trilling from her pants' pocket. She groaned and rolled her eyes, figuring it was probably her grandfather checking up on her since she'd ditched her training early, and as much as she didn't want to answer it she knew he'd be angry if she didn't. "I'm coming, I'm coming!" she yelled at the device, as though it would force it to wait for her, and she quickly dug into her pocket and pulled it out, her breath catching in her throat when she read the caller ID.

"Mike...?" she whispered, not sure how she felt about him calling. She knew she had to decide quickly, though, as her voice mail would pick up at the next ring, and she took a deep breath and pressed the on button before raising it to her ear. "Hello...?" she asked quietly, though strangely enough, she didn't get a real answer, only a kind of garbled rambling on the other end of the line that she could barely make out. It didn't take that long for him to figure out that she'd picked up, and she couldn't help but giggle a bit when she heard him panic. She closed her eyes and sighed. "Yes, Mike, it's me," she said, not sure what else to say. Almost instantly her memory flashed back to Slateport, and she could hear herself saying all those things to him. A part of her was still very angry at him, but as more time had gone by and she had more time to think about it, a lot of that anger had slowly faded into confusion, and even pity. Hearing his voice brought all her emotions to the surface again all at once, and she could feel her heart pounding. She didn't know what else to say, so she said the first thing that came to mind. "Where a-are you?"

At the very least, Jaeshan was glad to see that Erika hadn't just given up, even though he could tell that she was feeling threatened. She didn't hesitate to set her Vileplume on the attack again, and Jaeshan cringed as another disgusting Sludge Bomb was headed in Shelgon's direction. Protect probably won't work again, so we're gonna have to try something else... He ran his hand through his unruly blonde hair, and grinned. "This ought to throw 'em for a loop..." he whispered, before looking over at Shelgon and grinning. "Shelgon, charge through it and use Zen Headbutt!"

The dragon grunted and did as told, having grown bored of sitting on the defensive side of the battle, her shell starting to glow with a bright, whitish-blue energy that seemed to cascade with brilliant sparks as she neared the Victreebel. The Sludge Bomb exploded against her forehead, causing the gross purple goo to rain down everywhere, but the dragon continued on, undeterred.

Zen Headbutt? Erika thought to herself as the dragon Pokemon charged at Vileplume, its speed enhanced from its earlier Dragon Dance. She'd never heard of that move before, and she frowned as the Shelgon seemed not at all bothered by the Sludge Bomb. It became apparent that it was strong against Vileplume as she let out a sharp cry of pain and was knocked flat on her back, some of her petals crumpling a little due to her fall.

"Vileplume, get up!" she called, clapping her hands. With some effort, the Flower Pokemon got back up to her feet, looking more angry than anything else. Erika smiled, and looked over at Shelgon. "Douse her with your Sleep Powder!" Glad to oblige, Vileplume began to shake her petals, sending out a rain of glittering, blue powder. Erika wasn't sure how Jaeshan would have Shelgon react, but she'd be ready no matter what.

Mitsu waved to the shrinking figure on the horizon. She already missed him, a bit upset he'd believed her facade so easily. Mike had always caught her when she was lying and he'd catch her in a heartbeat. "See you later Kilik," she whispered though there was no one left to hear her sorrowful goodbye. Breathing in, she heaved a huge sigh. "Weeeeeelp, I suppose I should go and get that badge," Mitsu replied with a small smile. She'd promised herself she wouldn't get too down all the time. It was a blank slate and she was starting fresh. Flipping the red device from her bag she traced the quickest route to Oreburgh, mentally imprinting the map in her mind so she wouldn't have to look at the Pokenav again.

Quickly unfolding her Mach Bike, she ripped across the path, Jubilife's tall, tall buildings already zooming right into view, growing more and more massive with each passing second. Sapphire easily ran along side Mitsu and her metal contraption. Both trainer and Pokemon were enjoying the cool wind against their bodies. The wind whipped Mitsu's purple hair in every direction, but it felt so good. It had been quite a while since she had ridden her bike, but you know what they say, once you learn you never forget.

Mitsu took a quick break in Jubilife to grab a can of lemonade, downing the tangy yet sweet beverage. While in the Pokemon Center she healed up her Lucario. He was going to be a force to be reckoned with soon. After some hard training he'd be a cornerstone of her team, she just knew it. She also decided to switch out Nightmare for Haku, just for a while. The first gym would be of a low level, and this would be a good chance for Mitsu to train her young Horsea who had been under the care of her brother up until recently. "I'll see you soon Nightmare," Mitsu smiled, kissing the Pokeball before sending him into the PC. "And hello Haku!" The red and white sphere was promptly stuffed into her bag before she zoomed off again, heading East to the Oreburgh.

One after the other, the Geodudes fell thanks to Treecko's Absorb technique. With a quadruple weakness to the attack, it didn't take much for her to knock them out. When only four Geodude remained, Kilik felt very proud of her. She took down six, seven including the one who summoned the other ten, all by herself. She showed no signs of slowing, due mostly in part to the fact Absorb kept restoring all of her energy. Kilik pumped his fist into the air. "Aaalright Treecko!" he called out, his voice slightly echoing in the cave, "Only four more to go! Can you handle it?" The gecko nodded. This was what Cable must've felt every time he battled a strong opponent! If that fight with Lucario was any indication, Treecko suddenly felt a surge of pride go through her. She was so happy to be one of Kilik's Pokemon and to be able to be with such powerful Pokemon like Cable. Taking a deep breath, she shot a barrage of Absorb bubbles at another Geodude, sapping it's health instantly. When that opponent fell, the remaining three all came at her with a group Tackle attack. She wasn't scared of them anymore!

"Treecko, try dodging!" Kilik called out. The Pokemon jumped and managed to dodge two of them, but the third hit her tail and pinned her to the cave wall. Squirming, Treecko began uselessly hitting the top of the Geodude's head with her fists. The other two Geodude picked up a few rocks and used their Rock Throw attack against the defenseless Treecko. Kilik growled and clenched his fists. Perhaps battling them like this was a bad idea...He mentally kicked himself for putting his Treecko in this situation. She didn't deserve this. "Treecko, you have to focus!" he barked, "If you don't, they're just going to keep pummeling you with that Rock Throw! Use Aborb on the one pinning your tail and get out of there!" Treecko groaned and opened her mouth, shooting out her attack weakly. Yet the moment those bubbles returned her health the gecko felt on top of the world again. The Geodude pinning her fell to the ground, defeated, and she sprung off the wall with her tail, blasting the Geodude on the right with an Aborb. He too fell to the ground and Treecko planted her feet on the cave floor.

"Incredible!" Kilik cheered, "Just one more to go!" This is great, he thought with a smile, If Pan could see her now, I bet he'd be impressed! The Geodude gulped and instead of staying around to fight, he floated away quickly, disappearing into the darkness further in the cave. The boy let out a sigh and looked at Treecko. "Well, ten out of eleven isn't bad!" Kilik laughed, catching Treecko as she jumped into his arms. "You were great," Kilik said. She nudged against his cheek and blushed. Her Master was so proud of her! And she was proud of herself. All the scrapes and owies and booboos she'd received in the battle were no more thanks to that awesome energy draining attack she had. And she knew Pan was out there somewhere, knowing what an awesome job she did! "Let's get going," he told her, putting her back into her PokeBall. Clipping the ball back to his belt, Kilik ran off to the exit.

"Well, milady," Mazarin said, kissing the girl's knuckles as they were inside the building that led not only to the Park, but to the PokeThlon dome as well. "This is where we part ways. For now," He looked deep into her eyes, "I shall meet you in the Dome." The girl blushed and kissed his cheek, hopping off to the Pokethlon dome. When she was out of sight, Mazarin let out a sigh. "WHEW. Glad that's over. Chick was gettin' a liiittle clingy." He stretched his arms up and put his hands on his hips. "Now then..." he scratched his chin.

"Perhaps I could get a little exercise in the Park before going into the Dome..." Banette simmered its way out of it's Pokeball and nudged the boy on the shoulder, agreeing with this idea. "We are getting a little fat, aren't we?" He lifted his shirt and patted his stomach. Like Kilik, Mazarin was very thin, but so much so that it was slightly unhealthy. His ribs were easily visable. He dropped his shirt and groaned. "I'm so disgustingly FAAAT." He ran outside to the park with Banette nearby. Suddenly, the Ghost-type Puppet shivered and floated up into the air. "What? What is it boy?" Banette began pointing, making muffled noises. "Jimmy's stuck in the well? Oh no!" Mazarin began to run in the direction he was pointing, but suddenly stopped.

"...I don't know a Jimmy," Mazarin said. Banette slapped its forehead and began to pantomime. He made curves, like a woman and then began to wiggle to signify another Ghost Pokemon. "I get it! There's a ghost Pokemon with a girl!" Banette nodded and flew off to find them. It didn't take too long, though, as the Duskull was easily found. Mazarin stopped and saw her - she had beautiful purple hair...a lovely body...Mazarin couldn't take his eyes off of her. Her boobs...eeeehh... he thought, posing and looking her over. He then bit his lip. "MMMMPH," he groaned DAT. a**. He shot over to her like a rocket, tripping on purpose in front of her. "Oooh.." he moaned.

"Owww..." he stood up and instantly the 'pain' was gone. "'allo dear. You are quite possibly the most lovely woman I have ever layed my eyes upon. My name is Mazarin and it would be an honor..." he took her hand and knelt, "to know your name."

The trees and rocks melded together into a blob of greens and browns as Mitsu streaked across the land on her Mach Bike. It was the fastest one around and therefore made it the absolute best. At least in her opinion. "Hahaha! My gosh, I forgot how fun it was just to enjoy traveling and being a trainer," Mitsu laughed, her voice being lifted high into the sky by the wind that rushed past her. The smile was unmistakably plastered onto her face in a wide, wide grin.

Skidding to a spot the purple headed trainer dismounted her bike and popped it back into her bag. It folded into such a small package and was so lightweight yet durable the makers must have been a genius to invent such a product. The cave that led to Oreburgh was in a short walking distance now. Perhaps she's train a bit before heading through. After all, training was the reason she'd come here to Sinnoh.

"Hey there! I'm Mitsu," the young girl smiled, tapping a rather rotund Hiker on the shoulder. "Want to battle?" Sapphire's ears perked up, a battle! She better be choosing him, he'd rip whatever poor sap of a Pokemon that fat guy had.

"Hahaha, why sure little girl!" the hiker chuckled, his laughter booming and loud. "The name's Logan and this here's my Graveler!" The gray stone Pokemon appeared from it's Pokeball with a grainy growl. It seemed like the Rock Pokemon was ready to rumble.
