Just sitting and waiting for the Stork... Wow *sighs* It feels like I'm going to just pop like a balloon any day now. The baby started moving a lot like it did at the beginning of the 2nd trimester, so I think he knows he's stayed his welcome. I'm 80% ready for him to come, I just hope he can hold on until I get everything finished up sweatdrop and get his bed set... ... He's bringing me a boy

Hey everybody! I guess I'll be joining this thread... I'm 5 weeks pregnant! 4laugh I got a BFP on the 13th and from what the receptionist at the midwives office said my EDD is January 22. This is my second pregnancy but first child, I miscarried my first a year ago. Hubby and I decided we were ready to try again and after 2 months of trying we conceived! I'm very excited to meet my Peanut!
Is there anyone else due around January?

Just sitting and waiting for the Stork... @Kailani_Leiko: Congrats on the pregnancy! I hope everything goes well for you 3nodding
*sigh* Little one is still sleeping in his bubble mooching off me xd I really can't wait to see him, and going over my due date makes me even more anxious. My next appointment is on Tuesday and it seemed like last time I went his heartbeat was slower, which made me and my doctor look at eachother funny. She said if his heartbeat is still slower than normal and I haven't gone into labor by my next appointment that she is going to induce labor. We think he might have started becomming distressed and we don't want to let him stay in there to long if there is anything wrong. ... He's bringing me a boy

lol Well, one thing that's definitely different this time around: I lost track of how pregnant I am and had to look it up with a ticker. I think that's a hoot.

So, officially a girl? Congrats. :] Yeah, last pregnancy I could tell you what week and even day I was on, but this time I'm so busy that I really have to think about it.

3nodding Things like weeks along and days seem to be much less important this time. I remember my last pregnancy I could always tell you how far along I was. This time, I just want it to be September already so I can move into newborn phase and go from there. Though I will admit that I'm also enjoying certain aspects of my pregnancy more this time as well, since it's been much less stressful because I know more what's normal and what's not.
Yes, both ultrasounds revealed girl parts, so we're expecting a girl! :3 I have my 3d/4d ultrasound on the 2nd of July, can't wait for that. Really stoked.

First name, yes. Middle name, we're still looking for the right fit. We always keep that part a secret. Not that my mother hasn't been trying every subversive tactic she can think of to get it out of me. XD
I've been fortunate not to need Rhogam shots: both DH and I are RH negative. Which I didn't realize how rare that is until my OB gave me the little pregnancy book she uses--I hadn't realized that the vast majority of people are RH + blood types.

Had our 3d/4d ultrasound today, must say, it was very neat. smile She's still measuring bigger then her gestational age, my jokes about having an Amazon seem to be coming to pass. Right now, she's measuring about two weeks larger then her GA, putting her at 3.5 pounds according to the ultrasound. Average for this age is 2.5-3 pounds, for reference. So it's looking like she could very well be much larger then Ethan was when he was born. (My unofficial guess, with no reasoning behind it, is 8.5-9 pounds, will be interesting to see what happens. :3 )

How much did Ethan weigh? My first was 9lbs6oz and I've heard that generally your babies get larger each pregnancy so I'm getting nervous!

He was just under 8 pounds. (7 pounds 13 oz) As a trend, I think second babies tend to be larger and I haven't run into a case yet of someone who had a later baby be smaller.
Except in rare cases, your body will not make a baby you can't birth. whee
We've only had one lady in here, that I can recall that has had that happen--and genuinely had that happen. Not a case of the doctor was all "oh noes! BIG baby," but an actual case of her pelvic opening was not large enough. I think people worry too much about baby size and start worrying when there isn't a need. It makes no sense that our bodies would make babies we can't birth. smile

My first baby was 6 lbs. 15 oz. and my second was 9 lbs. 14 oz. Guess who was easier to give birth to? Yep, my second one.
My mom had three big babies. First one (me): 10 lbs. 5 oz; Second one: 9 lbs. 13 oz; Third one: 10 lbs. 8 oz. She was able to have all of us naturally.
So exciting to see your u/s pictures, Dirge! 4laugh
