'Yes Onee-san.' Yokome slowly but surely, slipped on her zori in a careful manner. She gained her balance and walked towards the okiya entrance. 'This will be a night to remember, Tanpopo-chan! I'm excited out the first outing with my new sister.'

Reijin nodded. "As you wish, Luna-san." As Luna exited the room, Reijin sighed and looked back to her painting. Gently wiping her hands clean on a nearby rag, she stood. "I think I shall make us some tea. Reiko-san, Shizuka-san, please excuse me." She straightened her kimono, brushed a lock of hair from her eyes, and turned to leave.

Luna slipped into her Zori and stepped out silently, Her hair had been fixed yesterday and she was used to it now. Dressed in a comfortable older kimono she headed over to prey. There she dropped a few coins in the slot and range the bell speaking a few soft words. She hadn't realized she'd passed Popo on her way out since her head was down and she had her eyes focussed on the floor.

Umou gradually convinces her vulpine friend to depart from the okiya, and wipes her hands against her rough cotton robes. "Okay! Time to get to work!" she says to herself, nervously. She begins to look around until she finds some cleaning rags, and quickly gets down on her hands and knees to scrub the floor as hard as she can. Umou's singing has often been likened to the course croaking of the ravens whose company she enjoys, and even she knows it's horrible. But she sings unconsiously, happy to be working.

"Please forgive my presence!" she says automatically. "Are you looking for the Okaa-san, mistress?" "There of couse is no need to forgive your presence" Silent Swan goes on, " I am only a humble maid. But, if it dose not disturb you it would be helpful to point me in the right way." ((edit: I don't know how many posts I have, I have posted some in other places; please forgive me for this))

"I've been using these to clean until one of the maiko or geisha give me some extra chores to do." She smiles. "My name's Umou, and I just started as a maid! What's your name?" ((5))

Reijin moved through the okiya with a graceful ease. She seemed to spend most of her time in the okiya in the kitchen, which suited her just fine. She carefully stepped past a maid scrubbing the floor on hands and knees, noting that both this girl and another who was lurking near the entrance were new faces. She was starting to see exactly what bothered Luna. So many new maids, so very few places for geisha. Reijin hoped that Luna would find herself an onee-san soon.
Entering the kitchen, she filled a kettle with water and set it over a fire, then took three cups and set them on a tea tray.

((5)) "I am pleased to meet you, and my manners do seem a little un-maid like" Silent Swan follows Umou. " I am sorry if I frightened you, and made you think I am some one of rank. It is just the way I was rasied. And it seems that I am new also, I think I am just a little lost. Oh and forgive me I almost forgot, I am Silent Swan." ((3, I am much futher than this but I have no idea what number I am on))

Luna returned to the Okiya her hair was perfect and she looked elegant in the light even in an older robe. She paused noticing the two maids then slipped off her Zori and called out. "Reijin-chan, meet me in the garden." Her voice was melidious and beautiful, a natural singer. She paused and looked at both maids, they were knew and silently she nodded her head then spoke. "Welcome to Mizunoyuri." Both eyes a lighter brown almost gold in color. Slowly she passed then her steps graceful and sweet. By her collar it was clear she was maiko but she looked a little older than the other's.

Popo carefully stepped into her zori and made it out the door fine. It was as she stepped fully outside that she did a face plant. She quickly rose and said, "I'm alright!" And kept going, blushing heavily.

Iyasu nodded, but did not giggle, "Do not worry Tanpopo, this is one of the reasons why we were going out. It is so you might be get used wearing this platform zori."
