Just as Ialo was about to snap back at Luna, his breath caught in his throat and he clutched his head, falling to his knees. Ironically, his powers had chosen to kick in, or rather, lose control at that precise moment, and a rapid fluctuation of magic near the school, towards the cafeteria, combined with the muffled screams of... someone, or something. "Yeah, half-dragon, lovely..." he growled, mostly to himself. "Wish I could turn it off..." He stood back up swaying slightly, his eyes slitted and softly glowing. He teleported to the ground, right beside Lin. "Allow me to take care of the rest of this," he said to the student. Although, there wasn't much to do at this point.

*unconscious*

"Ugh," she breathed. "Men," she replied with a smile and shrug toward Shuusuke. She laid back down and shivered. She was completely naked and on a rooftop. Oh, joy. She rolled to her side and watched the scene below where Ialo left.

Lin gasped as her plan worked out perfectly. She had never really been in a real battle before, only simulations. As soon as Dymetri fell over unconscious, the black creatures disappeared completely.

Lin dropped her force field, deeply thanked all the animals, and then went over to Dymetri. She sighed and mumbled, "Great... Now I have to get you inside the building somehow..."

Then, Professor Enlil appear beside her. "Oh Professor Enlil! What a surprise to see you, sir, but I am glad you are here. Can you please help me carry Dyme... Professor Valen into his room? I can make some salves that will at least heal his sores. Maybe the darkness will heal him completely."

((Have permission from Neon to do this.))

So, Lin worked with Ialo to scoop up Dymetri carefully and carry him into the Night Building and all the way to Dymetri's room. She had no idea how Ialo had sensed Dymetri's despair and had come to them, but she wouldn't worry about that right now.

Lin was shocked at the size of Dymetri's room when she saw it. My, it wasn't a room, but a full suite! It had a large, plush living room area, a kitchen, and 3 doors down a short hall. One of the doors Ialo opened with his powers. Lin followed him in to a large master bedroom.

When they laid him on Dymetri's bed, Lin smiled slightly at Ialo. "Thank you so much Professor. Please keep an eye on him while I find something to restrain him with before he wakes up so he doesn't attack again.

She was somewhat embarrassed to be standing in his private bedroom, but if she was going to be a healer, she had to learn to work in many different areas and situations.

She looked around and quickly found some rope lying on a dresser... oh she did not want to know what that possibly could have been used for. So, while trying to keep her mind blank, she quickly when over to the dresser to grab the rope. She gasped when she saw some handcuffs lying beside the rope! He was a vampire... but those wouldn't be used for quickly killing prey for food. Well, she couldn't worry about that now, and the handcuffs would work better than rope.

So, she grabbed the handcuffs and then walked over to his bed. She knelt on Dymetri's bed, and tied his wrists to the bed posts and then his feet to the foot board.

"Now, I have to go get some herbs from the garden." She looked at Ialo. "Or do you think he might have the right kind here, Professor?"

Ialo raised an eyebrow as he looked down at the teacher. Well, he obviously wasn't going to ask about the ropes or the handcuffs either... he really didn't want to know. "I wouldn't really know," Ialo confessed. "I'm sure he would have some of the more common and widely used plants, but..." He leaned over Dymetri, placing a hand over the vampire's chest. "In the name of time, let's just relieve his pain with a few spells. If there's one thing Oph - Professor Akakios will hammer into your head, it's that there's no one way to do anything." Ialo almost slipped and called his ancestor by his first name, an unprofessional thing to do.

Lin couldn't help but frown slightly. "I respect your opinion, Professor, as always. However, if spells were always the best solution, there would be no need for healers. Medicines and herbs are more potent and go deeper into the wounds, healing them completely. With spells, you run a risk of the wounds not healing fully and flaring back up again."

She realized, though, that even with the most respect intended, she was talking back to a professor. She looked down at the ground and blushed deeply. "Of... of course, professor, you know best, and I will do whatever it is that you think is best."

Ialo nodded. "A very good point." He went through with the spell regardless. "You know, an airplane is safest when the least experienced crew member is piloting. Why do you think that is?" Ialo pulled out some healing herbs from within his sleeve, like a magician. All he was missing was a rabbit and a top hat. He handed the herbs to Lin. "Now, go to it."

Lin was going to answer her professor, of course, but she was so humbled by his compliment of having a good point that all she could do was take the herbs and smile brightly at him. Her eyes were sparkling.

She managed to whisper, "Thank... Oh thank you, Professor."

She then knelt down on the floor beside Dymetri's bed and laid the herbs out on her lap. Using the spring water in her pendant, she dropped a few drops onto the floor. She was getting quite low on her water and she needed to go back home to refill it, which did excite her. She wanted to go home for awhile again. Now was not the time to focus on that, however.

The drops started to form shapes of a mortar and pestel, but they were still watery. So she lowly said, "Congelo," and both objects hardened completely.

She took the various herbs, picking out the right ones she needed to create a salve for burns, and then put them in the mortar. She took the pestel after that and started to grind the herbs until it formed a thick paste. Some of the herbs had a sticky substance inside that was released when crushed, so that formed the paste texture needed to spread onto a burn.

She then handed the mortar with the paste in it to her professor. "This is a paste for the burns on his arms, where I am assuming the skin stretched to accommodate his sudden increase in bone mass. Would you mind putting it on his arms and anywhere else he has burns, please, sir? I'm sure you know this, but please be careful of not getting it into any lesions. There is Aloe Vera in the paste and it could likely infect the wound and create a painful stinging sensation. I will now make a paste with some of the other herbs you gave me for his lesions."

She then got to work on that paste.

She then added, "Professor, could you also check for any broken bones and damaged internal organs, please, sir? I will need to make medicines for them as well, if he has any."

Ialo nodded, and went straight to work. At least when he was working with students, he could pretend all his troubles were nonexistent. And Ophiuchus had forced an extensive healing education on him, so Ialo could heal almost as well as any other professional healer.

Ialo closed his eyes after carefully applying Lin's salve to Dymetri's skin. After a moment, he looked back at the elf. "Fatigue and strain is the worst that Professor Valen will have to endure for a while. Physically, at least. I can't begin to imagine what the ordeal may have done to his pride. He might want to keep to himself today." Ialo had realized that dawn had come, and once again, another sleepless night. Even he couldn't hide the fact that one good look at him positively screamed 'Take a vacation!'.

Still kneeling on the floor, Lin sighed softly, "That is good, at least physically. If he had obtained broken bones and injured internal organs, his healing process would be severely slowed..."

She paused for a moment, thinking of how much pain he would have been in if he had sustained those injuries as well. However, she caught herself and quickly tried to cover what could have been perceived as personal attachment.

"A... and of course, that would be a great hassle for your office, sir. You would have had to have found a substitute professor for a lengthy period of time. Luckily, that is not the case after all, based on your assessment. I have this paste finished for his lesions. Please put this on them, sir. I cannot do this, as his blood might severely weaken me or my direct touch to his open wounds."

She handed him the paste in the new, clean mortar she had made. She then stood up and stretched her back, wincing at the slight tug in her back as she did so.

Ialo quietly applied the rest of the paste to Dymetri's wounds. When he was done, he stood back up. "There. Now, let's give the poor man some peace." Similar to Ophiuchus, Ialo didn't view Dymetri's vampirism as a bad thing. It was simply another facet of his being.

"I was not aware of the effects of vampire blood to an elf. Now that I think about it, that would explain some of the rules in the Red Cross," Ialo mused cheerfully. "Eh, I must be a bit cracked in the head today, making that sort of connection. Anyways, let's go now." Ialo walked over and held the door open for Lin.

((lol! I completely understand))

Lin paused at the side of Dymetri's bed. She didn't want to leave him.

With her eyes still resting on Dymetri's unconscious form, she spoke softly, "Professor Enlil, I think it might be best for someone to be here at all times for him. In case his injuries worsen. I know how busy you are, and I can view my classes through an orb I can form with my spring water. I will not miss anything. May I please stay here, sir? I... I am his healer and must see him through his ordeal."
PostPosted: Tue Feb 10, 2009 1:04 pm

Ialo sighed. "I can tell how important this is to you, but you really can't stay. He may be tied and cuffed, but he could still be dangerous. I can't risk the safety of any of my students." He had been leaning against the door, with his arms crossed. "You're not his healer Lin. You're a student."

Lin sighed and then finally nodded. "Yes, sir." Telepathically, though, she asked for a small mouse to come into the room after they had left to watch over Dymetri. If something happened, if she was needed, that mouse would run outside, jump up and down to a small bird that Lin would be asking to wait outside, and the small bird would know to come and find her.

She then turned and finally walked outside of the room. After both she and Professor Enlil had left the suite, a small mouse managed to run through the main suite door right before it closed and ran into Dymetri's room. It perched on a chair by the dresser so it could watch the creature in the bed.

Once outside, Lin looked at her professor and smiled tightly. "Thank you, Professor, for all of your help."
