Siom was taken aback, not expecting such a question. "Well... It's because... to a great ext-... It's because to a great extent... I wanted it too." Siom waited for further reaction, seeing her cry was slowly tearing him up inside.

You'll never expect what you can't see...
Par'il finally moved in the lounge. The bread had fully risen enough. He reached for some wood and shoved it into the stove before casting his fire spell. The oven quickly lit ablaze. He now waited for it to warm.
Siom thought for a moment. His eyes darted through the room, his head following the motiongs. Finally, he locked focus on her and then quickly closed the gap between them. He threw his arms around her, pulling her close against his chest, his head over one of her shoulders. "Kayla... I love you, too."
((Know this wasn't planned, this was all Siom.))

Kayla returned the embrace as he hugged her. "I love you too, Siom." she replied, her voice no longer shaky as before.
Meanwhile back in the lounge, Isaac took out a piece of paper and ink pen, then started to draw. He glanced around the lounge a bit, watching everyone as he drew Siom and himself fighting in the arena with Siom swinging his hammer against Isaac's shield while Isaac was defending. He made sure to include every detail as best he could, then signed his name in the corner. 'It sure has been a long time since I last fought. Graff, Shin-lu, and Iliyana did very well. Guess I should've trained a bit more.' he thought as he observed his work, letting out a slightly tired sigh. Isabelle perched herself on the table above Isaac's picture as she gave a small chirp in slight concern. Isaac moved his hand over towards the phoenix's head and gently stroked her back. "I'll be fine Isabelle, I hope Kayla's alright." he said to her simply.
((Heh, guess she didn't really expect that so quickly.))

"I..." Siom was trying to figure that out for himself. He really hadn't thought about it too much. "I don't know... I guess... nothing is anymore." He lowered his head a little. His eyes darted back and forth, but he wasn't focusing on anything.
"Heh..." Dark seemed distant for a moment. "That way doesn't exist for me. My life or the life of those I travel with are always in danger. And to top it off, if I don't find an outlet, I could very well be the cause of it all." Dark's voice seemed more tender now than it had been throughout the entirety of this conversation.
...then, one day, it'll bite ya Graff put his chin on the table "I think you like to provoke reactions around you, its your twisted way of trying to make us act the way you think we should act around you, didnt?"

((Sorry all, between an unusual amount of work, end-of-semester school projects, and a case of writer's block (all while still trying to convince Hitokiri-chan to rejoin), I haven't gotten to this. Forgive my absence, I'm back.))
Siom held her, not wanting to let go. "You must understand. I wanted to protect you." He desired to tell her everything, but at the same time, he didn't want to worry her. "Regardless, the reason has passed." He pulled back just enough to look her in the eyes. "If you'll still have me, I'd be honored to spend eternity with you."
Dark didn't really respond. To some extent, Graff was right. But Dark wasn't wrong either. As long as he's cursed, Dark would be aggressive - whether it be the darkness of his blade, or through the fact that he doesn't want to get attached and then loose them during the darkness's control. Dark walked back behind the counter and grabbed a few simple pale lagers. Coming back to the table, he set one of the drinks in front of Graff. Dark then pulled out a seat for himself and took a sip of his beer.
The oven had heated. Par'il opened the front and set all six pans of bread into the stove. He wouldn't leave the side of the heating unit as he continued to stoke its fire.

Kayla gave a small smile as she looked at him. "Of course I would, Siom!" she replied happily. She felt very relieved after such a long day.
((Er, sorry for the long wait! I too have been very busy. Hey thain, any luck convincing Hitokiri-chan to come back on gaia?))

Graff was waiting for Dark to get angry at him, thus proving him right that he enjoyed making people angry at him. But to his surprise Dark returned with two glasses and put one in front of him. Dark then took a seat for himself and begun to drink. "Errr... thank you... Dark..."

((As for Hitokiri... well... I have her speaking about the her characters with me.... however, getting her to post her thoughts is going to be something else. I have her on gaia every now and again though... dragging her around on zOMG and everything.... I just wish she'd RP again.))
Siom grinned. He momentarily closed his eyes, feeling relieved that she said yes after everything that's happened. Pulling back, but still within her arms he spoke, "I believe your father is waiting in the lounge. What do you say we bring him the good news?"
Dark swallowed and set the glass on the table without letting go, "Yeah, whatever." He swirled the cup and watched the liquid spin. Again, thinking of his life with this half-ling has brought him insight of himself that would otherwise go unnoticed, however, knowing the problem isn't a solution to Dark.
((Forgive me M'Lady, I'm not a very good romance RPer. If it makes you feel any better, Siom DID want to kiss Kayla, I was just having WAY too many issues writing such.))

Siom led back, and as there hold of each other broke, he paused. Following her motions with one hand, he allowed it to slide down her arm and clasp gently, wraping into her fingers. Hand in hand, the two found their way to the door and were off to the lounge.
Par'il continued periodically playing with the flames, making sure everything was just right.

Isaac could smell something cooking in the kitchen as the scent seemed to drift throughout the lounge. 'I wonder what's going on in there.' he thought curiously. Kayla walked next to Siom as they approached the lounge, smiling happily.
