Whatever Vahn said, it wouldn't matter; this fight had dragged on and on, covering the both of them with injuries. If it had been a battle with murderous intent, things might have turned out differently, it might have ended sooner... but this fight wasn't about one opponent defeating the other, this was about the battle itself. The feeling, and the experience of it as two powerful fighters exchanged blows, one after the other.
Words were meaningless at this point, Vahn had managed to stir in him a lust for battle that it had taken 20 years of solitude and meditation to suppress. For now, because of that guy, this wouldn't be able to end until one of them could no longer get back up.
He would react to the intent with the same.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrrr..."
The wisps of crimson energy flowing about him grew thicker, darker. The runes tatooed upon his left arm, almost invisible now due to the burns in the skin, glowed brightly; erupting in that same energy as it enveloped his arm entirely, up to the shoulder, then spread across his back like a wing of crimson flames tearing at the air around.
The exposed bark of the Tree of Life cracked further, curled, and seemed to burn to ash despite that the energy produced no heat. Even the blood that ran from his chin, now, would burn away before it reached the exposed wood.
"Show me..."
He picked up his left fist and slammed it down, hard, into the tree limb; the wood splitting and turning to ash at the touch. Even the air around them seemed to be sucked in.
Once more he spat a boiling patch of blood upon the ground, snapping his head to the side and baring fangs at the other.
"...show me everything you've got left."

["Passion" by Utada Hikaru] "Nothing comes of revenge. It merely results in us losing that which drives us." Both his arms had reared back at this point, the muscles and tendons standing out greatly. The veins on his neck were clearly visible, even as he gritted his teeth. Heat. It encircled both his legs, even his maimed one. The circling power was harnessed even as it travelled up to the left of his shoulders. "True power comes from having something worth protecting and that someday we will find that something." Yellowed eyes widened fiercely, even as the giant branch began to groan and sway. Yet within his very body... there flowed no anger. No immense rage wanting to slay, or kill or destroy. It was that single unifying dream which connected his heart to all his loved ones. Guys...He could see them all... Sunstrike, Sierra, Silver, Kraun, Maximos, Tomorrow, Enki, Kana, Nedy, Raven, Hugin....even Reiko. Every single face that made up that one stadium... that little piece of brick and mortar that dotted the vast landscape. Their hearts pulsed as one. "If... your going to fight me just for the sake of winning the tournament... then don't bother fighting me at all."1. His eyes shut, even as the wood underneath his greaved feet cracked. "That's good, right? I just...want to be like you, is all!"His left foot slid backward, even as he firmly planted his right foot onto the ground. "If you use that power for good, then it stays good, right?"A blinding flash of heat spread from his crimson body, even as both his feet hammered into the ground; kicking twice. 2. Stronger--- STRONGER THAN ANYONE!His body flashed in and out of view, even as he closed the distance between himself and Joshua. There he was, right in front of Joshua, crouched and with both arms reared backwards. There was that single frozen moment in time, as both fighters stood on even ground. Everything slowed down, from the wings of a butterfly, to the drifting of a leaf. 3. Everything I have. All my soul. Every fiber of my being. Both blows would be in the middle-range, curving upwards at a diagonal angle somewhere between a straight and an upper. The speed in which they pistoned forward creating rings of steam and unseen force, making it even all the more deadly as both palms would impact against Joshua's chest. "TETSU-KEN NO BAZUUKAAAAA!!!!" It's damaging capabilities would be increased as Vahn threw his full body weight into the double punch, resulting in a a MASSIVE double One Inch Heat. It had been thrown by bending the knees further and tilting the body to the side, so far that Vahn virtually 'vanished' from Joshua's line of sight, before propelling upwards in the the same manner as that of an uppercut, blasting the man upwards. Three explosions would be the result upon impact, sending Joshua away hopefully and finally putting a big enough dent into the man to take him down for good. The muscles in Vahn's arms ripped and bled just from the force of his attack, the wood underneath his greave giving way and cratering, as he unleashed all his might. And I gladly surrender it... for them. WITH A DON!

[ Mudvayne - Happy ] 'I'm waiting for you.'Joshua pushed himself off from the ground, rising to a low stance with his knees bent. His right arm hung limply at his side; his left raised up beside him, held tightly in a fist that was ready for whatever Vahn had. Even the fanning aura of crimson blaze that enveloped that arm seemed to move in slow motion as Vahn blinked forwards. 'It had to come to this. I would be disappointed if it ended any other way.'Vahn Kyonuske There he was, right in front of Joshua, crouched and with both arms reared backwards. There was that single frozen moment in time, as both fighters stood on even ground. Everything slowed down, from the wings of a butterfly, to the drifting of a leaf. 'I want this.'"Don't hold back." Everything was focused upon this moment. Everything that was left. Everything that there had been. It all lead here. 'I need this.'"... HIT ME! scream " His entire body tensed, every muscle he had. Vahn Kyonsuke Everything I have. All my soul. Every fiber of my being. Both blows would be in the middle-range, curving upwards at a diagonal angle somewhere between a straight and an upper. The speed in which they pistoned forward creating rings of steam and unseen force, making it even all the more deadly. "TETSU-KEN NO BAZUUKAAAAA!!!!" They both threw. Joshua's fist opened, and he accepted Vahn's right hand into it with the force of his own strike. The crimson blaze that encircled that arm snuffed out the instant the two connected. Time froze for a moment as the force of both attacks collided head on, and all was silent... KTCHT! The hand, the forearm, the bone, everything shattered in an instant as the Tetsu-ken tore through his arm; the force still driving through it even as shards of bone tore out the back of his elbow and burried themselves in the earth behind him like bullets. WHAM! The sound was simultaneous with the other. The crimson energy blasted forwards, dissipating into Vahn's right hand at contact and firing out the back of his elbow, accompanied by a cloud of bone shards, shredded muscle, and blood mist. The shock would shatter the bones in his upper arm, as well... and his shoulder. DON! Vahn's left hand struck home, right where he had intended it; the center of the right side of Joshua's chest. The process repeated, ribs shattering, the collarbone snapped, the shoulder dislocated sharply, the lung collapsed both from the impact and the shards of bone that were driven through it. But Joshua held on. The Tetsu-ken Bazooka blew his body back across the ground. Despite that his bones had snapped, Joshua's left hand still held tightly to Vahn's right fist... ' I won't-' His right heel dragged heavily upon the ground. ' Not while I can still move-' His left foot slammed into the exposed wood behind him. ' Not while I still draw breath-' Before the smoke even began to clear, a figure would pass through it in front of Vahn, one final dash coming so quickly that the bat of an eye could miss it. " -will I LOSE TO YOU!" The violent shout was accompanied by a spray of blood. His mouth was filled with it, his lung was pierced. THK! Joshua's right fist drove itself into Vahn's cheekbone, slamming in as forcefully as what remained of his right shoulder would allow. With a sickening snap to accompany the dull thud of impact, the already broken forearm finally snapped; bending to the side as if it had a second elbow, with a shard of bone piercing the skin on the outside of his forearm. ' I won't... as long as you still stand... as long as my blood is warm...' Both arms hung limply at his sides, another splatter of blood fell upon the ground as his lips parted in a smile. His knees hit the ground first, and then he simply fell, facefirst into the dirt, with that smile still there. "...you dead?"

Blood sprayed from both his arms, as the muscles themselves tore apart. the backlash from his 'Iron Fist Bazooka' was immense, to say the least.
He stared forward, mouth agape as blood sprayed from there as well. He watched as Joshua's arm simply shattered apart, the death grip on his right hand felt right down to his very soul.
A sort of relaxed smile had come over his face, even as his chest slowly rose and fell with each breath.
His arms lowered slowly... even as Joshua came back yet again.
He felt his head turn, his body nearly going in the same direction-- yet refusing to budge.
Everything slowed, even as both men remained fixed in their position.
The dull thudd of Joshua's body echoed out, even as the branch which had supported them both started heaving downwards, breaking off after all the abuse it had endured.
"....As if something like that..."
His arms hung limply at his sides, all sensation long since lost. His head was lowered, his body slightly hunched forward.
"...Could defeat....m....e...."
Both his feet had been burned into the bark itself, within the small crater; which accounted for why he never went sailing backwards from the recoil of his Bazooka in the first place.
...Ah.. my bodies... pretty messed up...
The branch continued sliding downwards, huge splinters of wood giving way, sections drifting apart.
..Oh well... I don't care about right now...
It fell into the abyss ... even as Vahn stood there.
Silent as stone... yellowed eyes closed.

Dash then walked into the ruins of the cathedral, collected the wallets of both men, and left.

Scenery: Standard flat fighting platform with no special terrain or abilities.
Siat wasn't exactly sure why he was here. Maybe he was dreaming, it wasn't really important why he was here exactly, what was important was the fact he had to fight this guy to get out. So, he settled into a fighting stance, left arm crossed across his body, right arm reared back, as if he could strike at any moment. Feet shoulder width apart, and he just bounced slightly, waiting.

"This place again...."
Seemed every time Reinhart showed up here there was always the special rule that he couldn't leave unless he fought. Win or lose fighting was still the only way out. Now, before him much like the times before stood the person he was to beat. Pretty eager to escape it appeared as he was already in a fighting stance.
Not much one can do when only given this option so Reinhart would follow the opponent's action and take his stance. Hands came up losely in front of him, relaxed, not even in fists as he put his right foot back.
"Well, come on then..."
Once more it was time to fight.

"Hehe, let's do it."
Siat charged towards Reinhart, arms still in that same fighting pose, and when he came within reach his left arm swung outwards for Reinharts head, it would knock his head to the right. He would also then pivot at the hips and swing the opposite direction with the same hand in a very painful looking left hook, hitting the opposite side of his head.

Reinhart would bring his left arm out and meet Siat's bakhand with his forearm stopping it completely. If Siat's hand or arm was unprotected he'd find out now that there was something hard beneath Reinhart's sleeve. What it was? Siat may yet find out, but for now his hand may be in pain.
Instantly following the block with the forearm Reinhart would shoot his right fist out. It was aimed at his opponent's mid section, to be more accurate it was aimed at his ribs, left side. When connected he'd follow up with his left hand sneding a palm to Siat's chest pushing him back some. Then he'd throw a straight kick with his right leg as if he was trying to topple Siat over, this time the hit intended for his stomach.

Siat saw that his swing had been blocked, and reacted quickly. His left arm grabbed Reinharts left at the wrist and twist it clockwise from Reinharts perspective. Simultaneously, he stepped around Reinharts body to push the arm up on his back and dodge the palm. Unless he countered somehow soon, he'd lose his arm. Siats strength was pretty much definetely greater than Reinharts and it's hard to push back when your arm is locked in that position.

Guess Siat would find out what lay under his sleeve after all. Siat would take Reinhart by the wrist and Reinhart would allow it but as he attempted to twist his arm....
Wooshink!
A blade would spring out from Reinhart's sleeve cutting into Siat's exposed hand. Figuring this would catch him by surprise if not shock him in the least bit Reinhart would throw a swift right straight into Siat's chin. He'd then follow up by kicking with his left at the side of Siat's right knee hopefully causing him to to lose a bit of balance.

Sure, it'd cut him. Wouldn't do a lot else though. It cut about half a centimetre in and then stopped. Blood trickled down both their arms. Siat would continue with his move.

Either his blade didn't spring properly or Siat had stopped it somehow, he'd be in a predicament it seems. Now that Siat was behind him Reinhart would shove his head back slamming it into Siat's face. If that was enough having him so close behind him would serve a bit useful.
Bending his right arm making a sort of chicken wing with his elbow now upfront he'd place his fist where Siat's lower midsection would be. Not a moment later the blade under his right sleeve would spring this one more than the last. It would be precisely 10 inches from his wrist out past his fist, from wrist to knuckle there was about 3 inches so Siat would be looking at a good 7 inches of blade cutting into his gut.

Ah... if Reinhart had simply been a good boy. Siat just simply tilted his head back when he tried to headbutt him and wrenched upwards with his left arm. Reinharts arm would break with an almighty crack. His left hand had now cauterized itself.
Unfortunately again for Reinhart, Siat had a free hand still, and as soon as he saw Reinhart trying to use his right arm, he grabbed it at about half way down the forearm. This was fortunate because the blade shot out soon after, he kept the blade out to the side, away from his body. Siat kicked the back of Reinharts left knee with his left leg which would send him to the ground. However, he still held his right arm, which he lifted up higher.
Siat put his left leg on Reinharts back and put both hands on his right arm and pulled upwards. Unless Reinhart yielded, he'd rip his entire arm off.
