A concentrated beam of light, so bright that it is almost in the ultraviolet range, fires out of the chest of the Phantom. It evaporates the bomb, lightly pushes Supergirl aside, and breaks through Brainiac 5's shield.
The force field belt explodes. The explosion takes half of Brainiac 5's face with it.
