"I will be fine," Kain replied, stubbornly. "I am nowhere near as fragile as a human or elf, so there is no need to worry." Honestly, he would recover fully from this; he just needed to be careful about how much power he used before he could get something to eat.

"So everyone who didn't make it off the ship; they're all still alive?" Jack questioned, wanting to hear it confirmed.

"Yeah, I'm alright," Hotstreak replied, waving a hand. "Heck, I didn't even get up until after the ship started fallin'..."

"A new power? Just by being here?" Gear asked. Did that thing happen often with the others? ...Did he gain a new power? Did Hotstreak? How could he find that out...?

Laharl nodded "Those ships, used some sort of beam to slow the decent of the ship, and set it down safely however the ship was still very badly damaged, i didnt see anyone else get down from the wreakage" he looked over to the group "I take it your all ganna wanna see for yourselves eh. ill take ya all tomorrow " he sighed

Jack blinked, now very confused. "You mean the guys that were trying to knock us out of the sky actually saved our ship?" he asked, even though he had already been told the answer. "What the hell? If you're going to try and kill people, you shouldn't go out of your way to protect them!" It simply did not make any sense.

"Yep thats what it seemed like" Laharl nodded "it was weird when i felt the ship start getting lighter then i flew around and saw them using those weird beams... "

Oomizu frowned and growled at Kain. "Hey! I got electricuted earlier and I'm still standing prfectly fine! When does that count as weak?" Yeah, she had taken great offense to that one. She huffed and puffed her cheeks out before crossing her arms and glaring off to the side.

Marta nodded a little. "I found out about it by accident a while ago, and I still don't understand how I did it..."

Pirogoeth felt Luffy hug her from behind and smiled lightly. "Yeah, I guess..."

Kikyo suprsessed a sigh, just thankful to hear everything was alright. "Laharl, did you see Link or Navi on the ship?"

"You want a pissing contest? Fine," Kain replied, taking the perceived challenge. "I have, quite literally, been to hell and back twice. I also, still literally, have had my heart ripped right from my chest during battle; and it has not been put back. Could you survive either of those events?"

"Huh... I wonder if any of the others have gotten any new powers."

Kirara smiled as she let go of him and backed off, sitting besides him on another rock in a cat-like fashion, her tails swaying back and forth behind her. "That's good Sora!" She exclaimed with a happy giggle.

Temari smiled up at Inuyasha in return as her grip on him tightened only a tad, bringing his body closer to her own. "I love you too Inuyasha, so much." She whispered to him before kissing him gently.

Rosette looked over at Gear and smiled gently, nodding slowly. "Apparently everyone who comes to this world is blessed by the gods and given a power or ability that they wouldn't have back in their own worlds. It's really cool actually!" She exclaimed with a giggle, clasping her hands together in a playful manner.

Hitomi let out a sigh of relief as she smiled down at him. "Well, that's good to hear. I guess?" She replied to him with a chuckle before she held out a hand for him to grab. "Come on, I'll help you up Hotstreak."

"Nah, that's okay, I'm fine here," Hotstreak replied, laying back onto the grass. "The ground's not so bad a place to relax. Wonder why people make such a big deal of it...?" he added, arms behind his head.

((GAH forgot Gear))

"Really? Everyone?" Gear questioned, though he didn't need to. "I wonder what I can do, then... or how I figure it out..."
PostPosted: Sun Aug 02, 2009 11:23 pm

Oomizu looked up to Kain with a look on her face that clearly read "I don't care." "I didn't ask for any kind of contest. I simply asked what you meant by calling me weak, especailly since I am half elf and human. And just so we make it peachy: I've been in wars since the day I was born, literally. Every year I help fight in at least two wars, and have seen death many a times in each one. I've been forced to kill people, despite my deep hatred for fighting, and have even had to see my own friends die in front of me, the worse being Kenichi who practically died in my arms. I've been shot at (not hit but close to), thrown over cliffs, thrown off of buildings, I've been kidnapped, saw my godmother after she got raped, nearly got raped myself, have had to deal with the sadist doctor of the group many a time, deal with the morons of this group have dealt with the original morons of this group thatyou should be thankful you haven't had the displeasure of meeting, been electricuted by too many different sources to count, I have seen things that I pray never to see again, and I am pretty much in my own personal hell today, AND all while being under the age of 16. So! To answer your question, at the moment I feel pretty darn invinsable and would gladly take on that challenge." To conclude her little rant, she sighed and smiled cheerfully up to him. "I do believe mine was longer. Feel free to add onto your list."

Marta shrugged lightly. "Beats me. Durring our first big battle, I was wishing I didn't have to go against so many people and they all suddenly just passed out. I don't know much else, like how long it lasts..."

"I was born the Guardian of Balance, although had no knowledge of my destiny, and I don't care if you understand what that means or not. The Guardian of Balance before me was murdered brutally, and her lover, the Guardian of the Mind, went insane, and infected the rest of the circle, including myself. On a trip across Nosgoth, I was attacked and murdered by common thieves, stabbed through the heart. The Necromancer Mortanious, also the Guardian of Death, gave me a chance for revenge, and I accepted, heedless of cost. Mere minutes after rising as a vampire I killed those who had slain me, and then sought only a 'cure' to my affliction. I met the ghost of the former Guardian of Balance, Ariel, and she sent me on a quest to kill the rest of the circle, starting with her 'beloved' Nupraptor. Still not knowing I was one of the nine, I set off to blindly do as I was told, with the false promise of a cure as motivation. Along the way, I found the Soul Reaver, and the Time Streamer, Moebius; also the Guardian of Time, although I did not know this for quite a while. Now, time travel is possible in Nosgoth, but altering history is impossible; except where the Soul Reaver is involved. I was manipulated into going back in time to murder a beloved boy king who would grow into a tyrannical menace, a threat to me and those who, at the time, I was serving. It sparked an all out war on vampires by the humans, and when I returned to my own time, saw a sort of mentor of mine, a vampire that I thought was the most ancient of all, decapitated; leaving me the sole vampire in Nosgoth. After I finished off eight of the Circle of Nine, then it was revealed to me that I was the Guardian of Balance. I was presented with a choice. I could end my life, and allow new servants of the pillars to be born, ones untouched by Nupraptor's insanity; but that would mean damning the vampiric race to extinction. However, should I live, the pillars, and in turn, all of Nosgoth, would rot and decay into a wasteland. I, obviously, chose to live. I killed and gave life to many new vampires, who, in turn, went to rise others, all in the name of creating my army. In a battle with the Sarafan, the humans who opposed me, I was betrayed by those I most trusted; each lieutenant had left just before the battle started, all but one turning against me. The Sarafan Lord had an amulet that protected him from the Soul Reaver's abilities, and I was struck down. I was vulnerable and unconscious for two-hundred-years, before I awoke in a stronghold of a city, to a strange woman standing over a bed I was laid on. I was week, akin to a fledgeling, and she helped to guide and retrain me. That vampire may have very well been the only woman I have ever come close to loving, but she, like my lieutenants before her, betrayed me at the first opportunity. Because she could not trust me, I had to kill her. Centuries later, I decide to raise new vampire lieutenants; six of them, and I considered all to be my sons. Imagine my despair upon learning the first I raised, I would some day have to maim and order his death? Time portals had taught me much, and I thought I could find a way out of the original choice I had to make; damn Nosgoth by removing vampires, or by continuing to exist. So I let things play out as they should - not that I had much say in the matter. Raziel was sent to his death, and was resurrected, either by time itself or this strange creature claiming to be a god. He came to attack me, first, and seemed utterly shocked when the Soul Reaver broke when I struck him with it... Not that I can blame him. He then took the sword's soul as his weapon, it binding itself to his arm. Using that weapon, he murdered all of his 'brothers,' my 'sons,' on his path to come and kill me, blindly listening to whoever was pointing him in my direction. There are some details that you would probably find boring, but eventually I led him into the past, where he met his human self. He was outraged when his past self murdered one of the original Ancient Vampires, one that could have been Raziel's mentor, and, in a fit of rage, tracked him back to the Sarafan temple. He murdered his brothers yet again, only this time he was murdering their past, human selves, before going to fight his own past self; who was wielding an older version of the Soul Reaver, back before it was a devourer of souls. Fate, as twisted as it is, revealed itself to Raziel as he killed his past self; the ravenous soul trapped in the Reaver, the one that made the blade a devourer of souls and not blood, was himself. And I, just before he would become trapped in the blade, gambled fate and altered history by saving Raziel. At first... I thought it a mistake. The Hylden, who before I did not even knew existed, had counted on my making that decision; used it to push back into Nosgoth. More centuries, perhaps millennia, passed, as Raziel tried to escape his fate. Apparently he realized he was being used as a pawn by nearly everyone he came across, yet still he was set on murdering me. He wanted to resurrect the vampire he'd seen his human self kill; and discovered that the vampire's heart was used to turn myself. Raziel was the one who plunged his arm into my chest and tore free my heart, casting me into another hell I needed to escape from. I cannot say why I survived; sometimes I question whether I truly can be killed, but I figure it best not to test this theory. Raziel learned more truths while I was in Hell, however. He had found a way to purify the Soul Reaver, so that it was no longer an entity of unending hunger and insanity... and through his new found clarity, found the courage to accept his fate at becoming trapped in the blade..." At this point in Kain's speech, he had drawn the Reaver, staring at it as if he could see his former "son" inside. "And found a way to give me that clarity of mind... to undo what Nupraptor had wrought those hundreds-of-thousands of years ago... And just when I finally have a feeling of hope for the future of Nosgoth... I am torn away from my home, during the most crucial time in this war as old as Nosgoth itself! Into this joke of a world, where there are yet more manipulative entities claiming to be gods, playing us all as pawns in their little game! Not a one of those miserable tricksters should show themselves in person, or I will attack them on the spot for this transgression!" he snarled, looking more murderous now than he had the entire time he's spent in Quasar. "And that was roughly about half of my problems. So forgive me if I can't sympathize with the griping of someone who's not even two decades of age, when I have possibly a million years of troubles and suffering; I've lost count, actually." As an afterthought, he added, "But I never called you weak; simply that I was stronger than you, and quite possibly everyone you've ever met." Why did he share all that information with her? Well, for one, it wouldn't matter; he wouldn't allow anyone from here to pay a visit to Nosgoth and live, for one, and perhaps this would get her to realize that there are many, many others who had gone through far harsher and many more hardships than she had, and possibly would ever have to face. Perhaps Oomizu had simply needed to vent, but Kain was not the person to go to when one wanted to talk of their problems. Realizing he was still holding the Soul Reaver, the vampire lord returned it to its usual spot on his back.

Rosette looked around for a moment before she spotted Alucard. This excited her immediately as she placed her guns back into their holsters before she ran over to him, hugging him tightly to her. "Alucard! You're okay!" She exclaimed proudly as she kissed him quickly, beaming up at him the entire time.

Alucard felt Rosette hug him tightly, smiling as she heard her saying that she was glad that he was all right. "Well, of course i'm all right. After all, I'm gong to see us both through this, no matter what." He told her as he gave a kiss back to Rosette. "I just want to make sure that you stay all right." He pointed out to her as Alucard ran his hand through Rosette's hair.

((I think I remember a time where I was kicking out posts like that for one of my other rps. Man, I hated those times. >_< ))

To Kain, it would have looked like Oomizu wasn't paying attention since she was doodling in the dirt with the toe of her boot, but in all actuality that was the way she learned best. (Yes, she learns best when she's paying absolutely no attention to what's going on.) Everything he had just revealed to her was now embedded in her mind: how he had said it, the tone he had used, any facial expression, every small gesture, how he held his sword... everything. And even though it didn't appear that way on her face, she actually appretiated how he had opened up so much to her (even if he hadn't intentionally done so). "You know, I think that's the most you've ever talked in the group, and it is kinda specail that that was all said to me. Thanks for disproving my theory that you absolutely dispise me. Guess you aren't as cold as you appear." She uncovered a rather large rock and glanced over to Minato with an evil smirk. Yeah, she was plottng revenge of some sort on him at this point.

Pirogoeth smiled lightly at his enthusiasm. "Thank you, Luffy. I'm so used to fighting that way that I guess my veiws are different from your own."

((lol That's what happens when I describe some of the highlights from five video games. xd I figured it'd be okay to let it be so long, since most of the people in the Legacy of Kain series are pretty long-winded. xp ))

"No, I'm not cold," Kain replied, shaking his head. "Being cold implies a lack of emotions. I'm just an arrogant, selfish b*****d, and proud of it. However, don't get the wrong impression; I do not want any of you paying a visit to Nosgoth. My home world is off limits."
