Wryn9393 You know you're a band geek when you repeat everything the BD says 24/7...For instance, like a ballerina, my friends and I say that all the time. ahh so true. our quote is "to be early is to be on time to be on time is to be late and to be late is to be dead" this makes my brother so mad

Nicholai Maxwell You know you're a band geek when... 1. You blow an entire paycheck on reeds or valve oil. 2. You chose to buy a new instrument rather than getting a car. definately did the new instrument one. haha it was worth it, um... you know you are a band geek when you force your parents to buy you about a dozen song books for your instrument and one you cant even play.

you skip class to make decorations for your concert
the time you spend skiping class is spent in the music room with the rest of your band geek friends
Your idea of a good time is stealing other instrument parts for your songs, and singing them with a group of friends

You know you are a band geek when:
-Having other people dress and undress you and it isnt sexually related.
-You go to school by entering the band room and exit by going through the band room
-you dont want to be in class the place you go to is the band room
-you watch reruns of past shows youve done weekly...as a band
-you go out into public you have atleast 2 other people from your section with you constantly cause you are just that close.
-You always have to be in-step with the person next to you.
-you count down the days before marching camp starts up"hell week"
-You have a nick name for your instrument
-You met your soulmate/boyfriend/girlfriend over tour.

You know you're a band nerd when:
You have the marching show songs from your freshman or any other year on your iPod/MP3 Player.
You quote your band director at any time, even to your parents.
You find out that a boxing glove on the end of your trombone really would be a good idea. (I swear I just want to punch some people sometimes.)
You look forward to band camp, and cry when it's over your senior year. (Yeah, I did. For real)

Windy--92 x__CrimsonRegret ..when you've told so many "this one time, at band camp" stories that your friends don't recognise it form American Pie. ..when you can play every song on a trumpet, clarinet, saxaphone, tuba, baritone, and trombone, but for 5 years of trying, you've never made a single note come from a flute. And yes, I've been trying to make a note come out of a flute for 5 years, but I've never been able to *stabs* i play the flute, its easy ummm...lets see, when you dont care if your instrument gets damaged, you wanna practice, even if it IS raning! its quite fun practicing when its raining!!

My band has a story from my freshman year back when our band director was fresh out of UTK. We had to do 4 to 5's down our practice field while it was an absolute torrent of rain at a tempo of some 200 beats per minute. Yeah, people died that day.
