Kana groaned, rolling over as she pulled the covers tighter about her body. The bed was so comfortable and she didn't want to wake up. Despite her desire to remain in slumber, Kana pulled her self back to the land of the living, so to speak, her eyes fluttering open. "Hmm? Where... where am I?" A very good question. She couldn't remember where she was, why she was there, or how she had gotten there, and nothing looked familiar.

((Gotten impatient. This is taking too long, so i'm gonna have a shot at finishing it off, in a bid to rouse everybody from their fuge. If people have had trouble reaching computers or something like that, please tell, and i'll disregard this so you have a chance to respond to the last one. Otherwise, lets wrap this up and get on with it.))
((EDIT: Thats a very good point, Ed-Man. Cheers.))
The great ball of water, droplets of dew, sweat and even blood from open wounds flying off the bodies and the surroundings to enter and be comsumed by the voluminous orb of undulating liquid. The orb of water had grown to such a size that it seemed to dwarf the dock, casting a shadow over the dock-side that rolled with the light that had been blocked by the fog that had been swallowed up by it before.
The glyph beneath it continued to pulse wildly, like a weight lifter's arms shook as he lifted the heaviest weights he'd ever lifted - and knowing that every second the weight would bear down on him...
Meryl seemed unpertubed by it. Indeed, she seemed to be ignoring it completely, the way it shuddered as another crashing wave under the docks was suddenly swallowed up by the orb, sucking the sea-water up as easily as a vaccum cleaner sucks up loose sand from an endless sea of aqua carpet. She was busy putting her palms together, her fingers interlocking one another, her sparking white eyes shut tight fast as the electricity hedl within tried to escape, flashing out from under her eyelashes to stab over her pretty face and down her arms to her hands, her nails digging into the backs of her hands as she concentrated as hard as she could, as hard as she ever had to.
"...Odin...Grandpa...give...me...STRENGTH!!
And then it happened.
Her arms were wrenched apart, her hands flying up into the air as her eyes opened, looking straight into the larger glyph hovering before her - framing the massive creature that was moving fast, barreling through buildings like they were matchsticks, the floating light following it's every move with deadly presicion.
A targeting display, you might call it.
As soon as her hands were thrown up, the orb of water suddenly became limp, the water exploding outwards, drenching everything in sight and knocking down even the hardiest of creatures, Meryl's slim body and the supine body of her injured friend barely protected by the protection shell she'd weaved underneath the area where she would collect the water. Tonness upon tonnes of water slashed down over the docks, an explosion of water that swallowed in the buildings around them in whitewash, a unrelenting tsunami of epic proportions - before the water stopped moving.
Simply stopped. One second of total destruction halted in the blink of an eye, a snap-shot in time.
Sat there, every single drop frozen as if suddenly told it had a purpose, it's destruction needed elsewhere - before it all suddenly began to be drawn up into the air, flowing through it and down the path of destruction that the creature had created, following the path with deadly accuracy, rolling through the air like a living spear-head, building up speed to crash down on it's targeted victim - the beast and it's ghoulish minions.
Meryl had just created a tidal wave that could have been created from the middle of the ocean, with enough pent up force to move up to 120k/ph (72m/ph), straight down the path towards the...thing. Flowing through the air using Tribal magic and her own will, it had passed over the houses and people to bear down forcefully on the target with uneering accuracy.
But that was only part of her attack.
The next part depended on what happened when the water hit the behemoth.
((I hope this is better. Note that Meryl had plenty of time to summon the power to create such a powerful magic, hence all the drama and s**t about it - in a normal fight she'd have had to be pretty nimble to pull this off.))

(( Did...you just flash-flood Latent? Because it looks like you just killed everybody and did the ghouls job's for them. ))
"Mistress is in her room." Fiole found this such an odd question to ask, as she began pouring out a cup of tea for the female to drink from.
Victor had brought in the girl about two weeks ago, and only told Fiole that she was to be taken care of, but not allowed to actually leave. Fiole wordlessly accepted the task and watched over the woman as she slept, and slept, and slept.... her sleeping plagued by countless dreams, words of which would often slip out.
"Master V-Vahn will be around shortly, he apologizes for not being here at this moment and time." she had nearly said Victor's name.. but honestly wondered how much longer the charade would last.
~~~
"If you would do me the pleasure of accompanying me." Victor smiled, as he led Ra'kar from the table, and towards the beach, which was now simply devoid of blood, bodies and anything else that would have shown that abattle had been fought here.
"I have a little meeting to attend."
With that said, Victor's arm was held out, and a rip in the very air was created, as if it were made of several partitions and blocks, opening up to a sea of blackness. A dimensional rift had been opened....
Kana blinked and stared into space for a moment as everything came back to her. Yes, she had come to Latent in search of Vahn and her child. She had found Vahn but Serenity was with what remained of the Kyonuske Clan. At least, That's what Victor told her as he masquaraded as Vahn, though, his guess wasn't far from the truth. Serenity was, indeed, with the remaining loyal members of the Kyonuske.
How long had she been here, two weeks? She had spent most of that time sleeping. She couldn't understand why she was so tired, why sleep tugged relentlessly at her body. Had she any inkling of what was to come, it would have been clear that her body was conserving what energy she had.
"Excuse me... but I don't believe I've inquired about your name yet, miss..." Kana felt guilty for that. The poor woman had been looking after her over the past two weeks and Kana didn't even know her name.
(( Work is overrated. I suppose I'll start here if no one minds. Still no bio, but I'm working on it))
The cool evening mist settled upon the town like a gentle blanket. People closed their windows and only the gently glow of the lamplights and the steam from chimneys left burning rode through the chill in the air. However, along the streets came a solitary figure. A black trench coat wrapped around his figure, obfuscating all other of his clothing from sight. Somber eyes peered out from beneath a ragged head of hair even as the hair was lifted and pulled away from his forehead with a glove clad hand.
"What am I doing here?" The low timbre of his voice echoed along the empty streets of the town. His hand continued sliding through the moist hair to the back of his neck where it scratched, a sure sign of puzzlement indeed. "This place looks deader then a ghost town." Again, the strange echoing hallow that reverberated back to him. The only sound that of his voice and his boots as they padded down the cobblestone roads.
At each shop, his hand reached out to the knob, only to find it securely locked and secure, so then it was pulled back, the eveings dew settled upon his hand where first it had been upon the cold metal fixture. So he simply continued down each street, wandering aimlessly and possibly fruitlessly, in search of something or perhaps someone.
Hands rubbed along the cloth of his trench coat, the dampness transferring from the leather to the material easily, the moisture easily soaking yet not entirely permating the cloth, before slipping back into his pockets at each side as he casually took in the look of the buildings around him, taking note of the architecture or something even though in the darkness, nothing could really be seen. He was simply observing.
He walked along the streets silenly and just as silently the tall wonan was suddenly striding along beside him.
The mist did not settle on the black velvet of the old fashioned gown, or her straight black hair. Truth be told she didn't even know why she was suddenly walking along at the stranger's side, perhaps it was just boredome that had coaxed her out into site once more.
All was silent for moments as he continued walking beside the strangely dressed woman. Neither spoke nor was spoken to as the time passed, the gentle but solide footsteps of his boots being the only sound. Finally, with nothing being said, nor clarification made, the man turned to his ghostly companion and smiled disarmingly. "Hail fair Mistress, what brings you out on such a dreary night. " even as he reached over to take her hand, unsure of whether she would allow it to be lifted by his leather clad hand or not, so that he might kiss the fingertips softly but politely even as he dipped into a informal bow.
Ice cold blue eyes turned to look him over for a moment as she held out her hand slightlky to allow him to take it in his own. "I know not what you speak of, the night is calm and quiet for once... The people of this strange place all tucked away in their snug little homes."
"Yes, they are very quaint." He nodded in agreement before pressing his lips to her hand, turning it over gently to place a soft kiss on the inside of her wrist before standing and looking at the woman before him, a small wink in his eye and a smirk upon his strangely handsome face.
"It is only dreary because I have no company and no place to stay I suppose. But what praytell is one such as yourself doing out here?" His hand motioning outwards from them, to encompass the entirety of the city before them before turning and beginning to take off his black trench coat. "Would you like something to help keep the chill away while we wander and speak of things?"
"I am simply looking for a way to pass the time, and a solitary traveler caught my attention for the moment..." SHe looked away for a moment a glint of light making her long black hair look almost blue.
"I do not feel the cold, though I thank you for your valiant offer." A slight smile flashed across her face as she looked back at him. "What brings you out into the night?"
The arm slipped back into the sleeve of the coat, the man bringing a slight chill with him, which was accompanied by a chill as he thought about the ladies question. "I'm not quite sure. I am here I think to help an old friend out but we don't have a meeting for a few days. It took less time then I thought to travel here." He glanced up again at the beautiful 'young' woman and smiled roguishly.
"Forgive me, I didn't think to ask your name. Mine is Trent Weber.." gesturing grandiously as he bowed much more formally, though making it appear as if they were in a grand ball room then the backroad alley that they were currently wandering down.
The lady bent her head in acknowledgment of his bow, very much the grand lady for a moment despite the coiled whip hanging from a hook on her right hip.
She looked a bit perplexed for a moment as she thought about his question"A name... ah, now I recall... Raven, my name is Lady Raven..."
It was a bit of a strange way to answer a question, but then again the Lady Raven was defiantly a strange person, from the way that she was dressed, to the fact that she never made a sound beyond her words...
"Ah..." he was silent for a moment as he took in her looks once more, his eyes apprecitive of the sight before him. "An elegant name for an elegant lady. Are you perhaps lost, oh fair one?" taking her hand once more to pat it reassuringly. "Whether you can feel the weather or not, one shouldn't be out on such a dreary night. Perhaps some lodging will find your mind at rest."
"Lost... I suppose you could say that I am lost.. but then I have been lost for a very long time..." A flash in here eyes, tears? No, she was almost emotionless and the glimmer was gone as quickly as it appeared.
"If you wish we could go inside someplace I suppose... although I do not know where..."
He shook his heair, the wispy tendrils amking little splatters of water go flying everywhere. "Well, I don't know about you my dear, but some warm cider would warm the chill in this body. I'm too young to die just yet. I have a few years left after all before I die you and leave a good looking corspe" Chuckling even as his hands slid through the wet hair, forcing it back by the sheer weight of the dampness that had gathered on the hair to stay away from his eyes for the moment.
