Hello people. Eh, I have two trumpets right now. I have my regular Yamaha and I have a Piccolo Trumpet that my dad got for me. It's about half the size of my regular one, and it sounds just like it, except a lot softer, so you'd really have to project.

clisp001 whose in the school honors band?? i am playing the song "The Fire of Eternal Glory" and it goes up to the high Bb above the staff i am getting better but how do i hold out the note long? plz reply 3nodding You want to use a ton of air to hit that note. Also, to make that note easier, once you are able to get it decently in tune, try to hit the next note above it. I started that my sophomore year after I got my braces off. It is now the second semester of my senior year and I can hit that note you are hitting an octave up. Make sure you don't push the mouthpiece hard onto your lips, keep it soft. I am the section leader and soloist in my school's honor band.

I only have one very old military model myself. Can't afford a second one at this point. Masquanade I'm a loser and only have one trumpet as of now. I used to have two but yeah . . . and I WAS going to get a new one but since I plan to go a private art school for college which are very expensive- i doubt I'll be getting a new trumpet any time soon. Oh yeah Oggy if you haven't noticed I've given you Crew Status so you're now crew. xp Hope you didn't mind whee

I'm thinking I should get a new mouthpiece soon, I've been playing on a regular 7C. My main instrument's the flute, I play trumpet in jazz band. Does anyone have some advice for a better-quality mouthpiece for jazz (but that won't sacrifice my low notes, as I have a lot on 3rd part)?

Schizophrenic Spork I'm thinking I should get a new mouthpiece soon, I've been playing on a regular 7C. My main instrument's the flute, I play trumpet in jazz band. Does anyone have some advice for a better-quality mouthpiece for jazz (but that won't sacrifice my low notes, as I have a lot on 3rd part)? i'm playing on a 7C also and am getting a new mouthpiece. my band director told me that the yamaha ones with the gold rim around the top are pretty good, i think he told me to get either a 6C or a 5C...^_^ lol...even though this is my junior year in high school....i think i might play in college...idk yet.
