Or, we can pretend they met somewhere inside the lower ruins or even outside and not get all timey-wimey on this whole shindig. I'm not willing to over-complicate things just because of a memory error.

That is exactly what I was getting at in the first place. I am at a loss as to how that wasn't clear the first time around. :U It was the wording, I guess. My mind counted the lower ruins as part of the Lake Sinoa Cave because of their connection.
Random thought: If I wanted to run the Turtlez from ToG, as sort of a live NPC group — hit me up for random peddling of items, dualizing or whatever-your-game does for making stuff, or quick transport to a different location, how would it be best to set that up?
The Turtlez are everywhere, it wouldn't be a surprise if at least a few of them got sucked into this different reality. (How they're getting stuff back to Turtlez HQ is a different question.)

Hmm, that's a good question and a neat idea. biggrin Easily accessible transport is not quite a thing in this world. For sea travel, I'd peg Palmacosta, Izoold, Flanoir, Sybak, and Altamira as the places that have ports in or nearby them (even if they're not marked on the map). Between villages, though...it's a long trek on foot. And If I recall correctly, in Symphonia, the two dwarves (Dirk and Altessa) as well as the weapon/armor shopkeepers would craft things and offer to upgrade weapons through crafting, but it wouldn't be too much of a problem to have the Turtlez provide that kind of service too. There aren't really any NPCs you could peddle things off to, unless you count selling things to shopkeepers.
Anyway, I would say it's not too much of a problem to make an introductory post that merely "announces" that they've shown up in the world (they don't necessarily have to have characters respond to that post), and then just have them show up at opportune moments.
Though I have a slight concern about your mentioning that they get stuff back to their HQ? The general idea I got going here is that when otherworld characters get pulled in, they're stranded there until things are resolved (the end of the story), or the player decides to drop their character(s). In this RP...maybe the Katz would open their village to them and let them settle a temporary HQ there until they figure out how to get home?
i want to join, but the character i want to play is too promiscuous. not appropriate for gaia, or a tales-based role play.
in fact, if there was a list of banned media characters on gaia, she'd be at the top.
maybe i'll play malik or asbel to start off with....or, someone from the atelier and/or tactics series.

Haha, I was just being flip about the idea of getting stuff back to Turtlez HQ. I know travel out of here is really hard. I think they'd probably just stash it all somewhere and start a new HQ for the moment. All the stuff the Turtlez buy from adventurers usually goes back to HQ to be valued before being either stored or resold, that's all.
The Turtlez do ground transport, they don't do boats. A Turtlez Transport is a big honkin' tortoise that's got a carriage on its back, like so:
Sounds like they'll be cornering the market on ground transport post-haste! Heh, I wonder if the first few Turtlez Transports might get a bit lost, given that they can't navigate with Foselos. They'll have to figure out the constellations here.
In Graces, the Turtlez provide adventuring items (gels, bottles, and a few ingredients), so they're mostly a stock-up-while-you're-out, relieve-you-of-your-extras service in terms of what they actually sell and do. *nodsnods*
Sounds good, I'll draft a little note about what they are for my resource thread and then have them pop up.
Oh. Yeah. I see your problem. Considering she's a whore and cusses every time she opens her mouth. Hey. At least she sometimes cusses only once a sentence.....Maybe you can use the whole dimension thing...?
Anyway, bring in Meruru with Lias and Rufus. It'll be amazing. ^_^
*Had come back from speed watching all the episodes of Persona 4: The Animation* You know what we should do after this recent Dark Crystal stuff is taken care of? WE SHOULD ALL DO THE KING'S GAME!!!
