Now, Animus might have lowered his head if that had been said in a different order, but instead, the creature had made demands on him about the girl's life. That wasn't his to decide as he drew one big foot across the ground.
((When I take her life is up to me, and not you. I have need for her still ...she is my slave, and if you think you can order me about .....well ....come ...I shall show you my horn))
Animus would flare up then. Though he knew that Victoria wasn't exactly his slave ....he knew she wasn't much further from the truth, she had to feed him, take care of him, and such until he no longer prove useful to her. The same the other way, the moment that his mate was revived ...her usefulness reaches it's end and he would kill her.
Though this he didn't need to explain to anyone.
He had staked his claim, and if this creature wished to appeal it ..well there was really only one way to settle it.
((Bring it.))
He growled out lowly underneath his breathe. He needed a good battle anyway.

">I am no fool beast<" The Pawniard spat, maintaining his defensive stance. He didn't have a prayer at outmatching this creature in pure speed; only through a powerful defense and superior skill could he ever hope to win.
Ironically enough, this Nidorino's mind had been poisoned by the murderer. If he was going to protect her, to harbour a criminal, it was as good as if the the blood were on the beast's own horn.

((Humph, you are if you continue to stand before me.))
Animus declares heatedly. There was one time when he would have listen to such a creature with admiration and understanding. When his rule was their laws, when he would have bowed his head and walked away. But, this time it was different. He realized something then, even when he got his mate back ...he would never return here.
This place had failed to keep his dream safe, and for that reason alone ...he no longer owed them his loyalty. What he did now, he did for himself ...as he races forwards with his horn down .....as he used Peck. Take Down would cause him too much pain at this point, and gain too little as he tested his opponent's defensive a bit.
Victoria saw him charge forward and realized quickly that from this point on ...they would be battling. She hadn't decided to get involved with the conversation, because it had gotten her past the joker before. It seemed that this wouldn't be the case this time....as she looked at the pokemon and already came up with her next move.

">No can do chickie-poo! I ain't no opening act, I'm the main attraction!<" Requiem called out, bounding off a number of rocks and landing atop Raven's shoulder. From there, he was given the perfect vantage point to look down upon the Sableye. ">If the local has-been wants to have it out, ya'll just have ta speak with me managa!<" The Zorua taunted, grinning from ear to ear.
As always, Raven didn't know what the two Pokemon were talking about; but from the tone, it didn't seem a particularly friendly conversation at least.
The young trainer was well aware that his Zorua was at a disadvantage in a fight against a Ghost-Type...least until he learned to fight with something other then his own voice. That left only one particularly clear option...use someone else.
Raven's hand would reach for and remove the first ball resting upon his belt. It contained the Pokemon he trusted more then any other, even if he wasn't yet the strongest the boy held. With a quick lobbing throw, he would once more release his Charmander upon the field...it was time to heat things up!
Snorting faintly, Fable would eye their latest adversary, tail flicking faintly. There was no need for words...he only awaited the battle to truly begin.
">Ooooh, looks like this numbers a hot one!<" Requiem called out from Raven's shoulder, chuckling slightly at his own humor.
 Starter Pokemon: Charmander [M] Name & Level: Fable, Lv 5 [Temperament] Quiet Bio: Raven first met Fable during his time living on the streets, finding the fire-tailed reptile in one of hundreds of alleys he'd been in. Battered, beaten, and bloodied, it was clear the Charmander had seen it's fair share of battles...and lost every single one. He bit Raven only five seconds after their initial encounter. Fable had lost all trust in humanity. Raven was never fully aware of the details, but the Charmander's former trainer had been abusive. He'd placed him in battles with impossible odds, expecting him to combat and defeat opponent after opponent with little to no rest...and when he lost, it was his trainer whom would personally add to the reptiles injuries. Finally tired of wasting his time on "some worthless newt" his trainer had abandoned him in the dirtiest alleyway he could find and just left him there. The boy hadn't even given him a name...at least not one he cared to repeat.
For days after that first encounter Raven returned to the alley, usually meeting with the same result; yet still he kept coming, sometimes he even brought food. It was generally scraps most likely out of the garbage, but it was food none the less. One day the Charmander finally asked why the child kept returning...not with words of course, but with his eyes. The curiosity at the boy's actions were clear in the reptiles gaze. Raven had said he saw a fire in Fables eyes that day when they first met, the desire to become truly powerful. More time passed after that, but the only thing which mattered after that point was the outcome. Even without a Pokeball the Charmander decided to follow the boy from that day forward, even earning the name Fable in the process. Raven would speak of spending the reward money on new clothes and a bath, but what was consistently leave out was the purchase of a single Pokeball. There was no need. Even without it, Fable would follow his trainer to the depths of hell and back. (11 - 8 ) + (10 - 5) = 8 /2 = 4 DMG
Pawniard HP: 10
The Pawniard would be bowled over by that single blow, tumbling back and striking the nearest boulder. Yet as he stood up, it would be made quite clear the attack hadn't done nearly as much damage as it should have. Animus was at a disadvantage when it came to typing in this battle, his opponent was one with a body of steel; and steel didn't break easy.
Raising his blades, the Pawniard did not speak, he simply charged. With each step, Animus would notice a red-black aura which slowly consumed his opponents limbs. It was an aura of malice...of hatred and anger...the emotions the Nidorino was all too familiar with, the same one that fed Revenge!

...whoa. Much more incredible than seeing the actual island from afar, the Tropius had left quite the impression on Ada. It had to be some sort of...guard or something. Of course, her intentions were opposite of the fruit pokemons, and there would only be one way she would be allowed to see what lie at the center of the island...
She once more called out Specter, the Zangoose's single eye narrowed as well as she stared the Tropius down. She gave a rather feral growl, drawing her fist back as ice solidified onto her fur, sharpening and freezing her paw over. She ran at the Tropius, fangs bared as she aimed for the creatures leathery chest.
Specter wasn't one for words, but her actions spoke for her...she chose to fight, and she would start it all off with an Ice Punch!

((Oh really, you are going to bolt." "Here I thought we were going to jam it out, but it seems I have to do a ditty with this flame thrower." "Completely square))
The Sableye would declares sounding more than a little bit miffed at the exchange. She crossed her arms as she looked at the Charmander, and sighed lightly.
((Well sparky, you ready to rock and roll, or are you simply a burnt out light. Either way, I am going to start the jams with my finger work that makes ...fully evolved pokemon cry.))
She declares sharply as she drew forth from behind her back a small ....guitar. The object was completely made of metal with the strings ...made of something hard and tied that wouldn't break nor snap in the middle of a song.
She jumped high into the air with as her claw was bought high ....as she would land infront of the Charmander. Her claws would strike the strings and everything between where she had held her claws and touched those strings in the meanwhile.
It was a counter-attack ....a dangerous one, but she wasn't the type to easily back down. Not when she had an audience in her sight ....

Though the Nidorino was more than ready to deal with the incoming attack ...head down, feet spread apart. He was ready for the charge, and even more so ready to handle it with a quick flick of his head ...if he timed it right ...blade would touch horn and not skin.
Revenge can consume all it touches, but weapons never felt that rage, that hatred, it is an emotion that belonged to the living. It was one that he hoped he could simply block by having his horn lock with that of the blade ....holding it away from himself, and keep it away from his body ...all in one small motion. Eyes narrowed to dots as he would push his body forwards to further throw off what could easily be a fatal move.

The Tropius would smirk ...this was to be the Zangoose's funeral ...as she rose once high upon her back legs. Those board leaves would sweep forward ...as the winds would come rushing forwards towards her. Winds that seemed to have enough force behind them to actually cut through rock as her eyes widen and she smiled just as wide.
((Foolish one, this is your time to die))
It was a high cackling kind of sound ...as the pokemon seemed to be break into laughter ....as she made the move. Her legs would be held simply on two as she let those winds continued to strike and cut, and keep them cutting ...as Specter would find that she was being countered in that moment.

[ENTERING FROM THE AETHER]
As Jasmine landed in the desolate crater-like wasteland, the Dwebble that had been running away would certainly receive a surprise!
If it wasn't already looking to run, it certainly may have when the Gligar that had been chasing her with Stealth Rock suddenly smashed down upon the ground... and in its place, there Lindbergh now stood proudly, the snaggletoothed Gliscor cackling madly.
[Now... where were we?]
"Leave him be." Jasmine spoke, softly.
There the girl stood... with Claudandas now suddenly sporting a red collar, the Focus Band around his neck shone and ready, and beside her, hovering in mid-air, the shining Lampent, its fire a blazing orange-tuscan red, suddenly, in the blink of an eye, her team seemed far more foreboding than before!
But at the same time... the girl herself...
She grinned... as she slid one crutch out from under the broken arm... she could move a little more comfortably without it there and with just one, shaking the crutch as it would telescope and fold.
"Looks like it worked, huh?"
The Dwebble would have been confused enough to see her injuries... it wouldn't know or even have an inkling of what occurred perhaps, that she had certainly gained injuries...
But far less than anyone else on the island may have suspected her return.
She stood, with a simple dress of white, a red cross emblem down upon it, matching her eyes and hair.
She still sported various bandages along her chest, her left arm and around the left side of her face, covering one eye, the other arm was in a purple cast, from armpit to fingertip, her hand encased like an oven mitt, held aloft as she slid it back into a sling.
But the discrepancy most would have pointed out... were her legs.
The casts she'd had, where now gone.
Her legs were in a set of black stockings that tightly held her legs... although they looked strange underneath, a familiar sight was there to her as well, braces.
Much better than the ones she had before, metal rods held in place by a set of buckled attachments, lined with a warmer sheepskin coating underneath, certainly more comfortable, and certainly gleaming with a look that showed how new they were.
Along with a single crutch, there she stood, and she stood by herself, a slow grin appearing, her grassy cloak drawn behind her her, along with a very long braid of her white hair behind her.
She had changed, and changed entirely!
Her plan had worked.
~~~~~~~~~
"You want to- I don't understand."
The Slowking hadn't understood at the time, but she had explained...
"If I stay here... If you can send me back whenever you want... and it will be at the exact same time, then I can stay here, I can wait it out until my injuries have healed and I'm ready to go home!"
The Slowking growled slowly. "Jasmine... I'm afraid I must-"
"In your time, when you were Professor... what would you have done if there was a student as heavily injured as me there... who was stranded on the middle of an island, like you're about to send me back?"
The Slowking blanched... "I would have had one of my best retrieve them... ensured I got them back safely..."
"I wouldn't allow them to go on the island in your state."
"...Not unless so vital as what you faced."
The girl sat in Lindbergh's hold and looked at him. "I'll do anything I can... if you need help... or ask me anything, I'll do it... all I ask... is that you let me stay here until my wounds are healed."
The Slowking pondered, then heaved a dark, heavy sigh. "Very well... but there are conditions to my hospitality..."
~~~~~~
And now, there she stood... without aid of Lindbergh or Genn all over again... even with braces, even with a crutch, it felt familiar. It felt right.
The plan had been to wait until she had fully healed... but as soon as the casts came off her legs, she was ready, she wanted to be here!
She had a debt to pay, more than one... and she was raring to go as she breathed the air... and knew she was really breathing the air for once.
Her grin widened. "Let the Dwebble go... I doubt he'll want to fight any longer now."
She had new pokémon. New items... but something more... something sparked inside of her... something felt different, in a way she couldn't describe to herself.
She felt better about herself than she had ever done in many a year.
And now, she was ready to face the island once more!

Specter HP: 11The Zangoose was restrained, the winds pushing her away and onto the ground where she was dragged further back. Well, the fall certainly bothered her some, but in the end...it was rather pitiful. Specter stood back up, narrowed eye still on the Tropius. "> Sorry, but I think I'll die another day <"
Specter was convinced that the Tropius had gotten cocky. Sure, she'd gotten her with that Gust, but the result wasn't so great now, was it? In fact, now the normal type knew one of her opponents moves...excellent. She put her claws out in front of her, in case of any physical move that she could block, planting and digging her feet into the ground firmly. She was not going to budge.

It was true, when given the chance ...the Dweeble would disappear into the depth of the place. His entire body would go underneath his stone ...as he would allow them to simply pass. It was one of those times when he had been trying to escape, and with the girl not happy with the new turn of events ...he wouldn't waste this time as he would disappear. The girl was now left on her own.

The Tropius declares sharply ...she had killed many with that move, but it would seem that the Zangoose was made of something sturdier .....the Tropius would simply snort at that. As she stop flapping her leaves, as she allowed gravity to do all the work and her head would come down ....swiftly as use headbutt this time.
If she couldn't blow the Zangoose away ...then she would simply crush her underneath her full weight.

Jasmine grinned... and looked to the rest of the group, as they all just let it wash over them... how many weeks had it been since they had just enjoyed fresh air?
How long had it been since they'd all just felt the ground beneath them and KNEW it was real?!
[I swear... if I ever see another Slowpoke Tail as long as I live, I'm never touching it...] Lindbergh laughed, flopping back and flailing her claws back and forth as she tried to make a sand angel, but with her claws and points, it certainly resembled something far more demonic!
[Just as well you aren't a Shellder then, isn't it?] Claudandas grinned fiendishly. But he, as well as the others, would all be happy for a change of meal soon, every meal for the last day had been the same Regal provided... but even as expensive or good a taste the food he gave, it was still the same, and familiarity bred contempt.
He would be happy to sink his fangs into a new meal...
But Jasmine smiled to Burnout... the Lampent hung in mid-air... and although he could barely feel the wind against his glass, his lid would lift an inch... and he closed his eyes... the air breezing through, carressing his flame, touching his very being and soul...
Jasmine couldn't help but think... they had spent so long in the Aether... but Burnout... how many years had he been trapped? How long, before the rise of shadows, had the Mistress sealed them all away?
And if Regal could make weeks pass, in the blink of an eye... how long had that been to the former-Arcanine?
The Lampent opened an optic, then closed his lid down, looking to the girl. [It is good... to breathe the air again...]
Even if he couldn't speak in words she would understand, the feeling was there, as Jasmine would grin back.
[Technically, you don't breathe.] Lindbergh raised a claw in interjection.
And although it was a bit of a lazy start, there the group sat, readying themselves before they would proceed.
"Well... you all know what's next guys!"

The Tropius' head collided with Specters claws, the Zangoose standing firm against the dual types weight as she pushed back. And well, frankly, it worked. Training with her parents had given her strength, strength the Tropius could see her using now. Eventually when her head went up, the Tropius would come to see Specter unharmed, her feet planted even further into the ground before.
And now the dual type was vulnerable. With her head so close, how could you not take advantage? Specters paw froze over once more, the Zangoose jumping up as she tried to get her Ice Punch up high. Head or neck, it didn't matter which one she hit, as long as one of them was out.
