Sand crunched slightly under red and black shoes worn by a girl who was equipped mainly in purple garb. Like in her shoes, she also wore touches of red, black, and white as to not be fully monochrome. Running her gloved fingers through her hair, Junko looked up to where the sun rested in the sky. She immediately squinted her eyes out of reflex and turned her head away from the glaring brightness. As she opened her eyes again she sighed in annoyance while vivid little spots invaded her vision.
"What do you think he's doing right now?" Junko questioned, looking toward her skullfaced partner. When she didn't get much of an answer from the Duskull other than a big red tongue hanging from underneath it's skull, she looked out on the sea in front of them. The events that happened prior in the day began to float into her mind. Losing to that Kevin boy with the gorgeous golden flowing hair, catching her first Pokemon in Olivine's sea, falling down a rocky hill and busting her chin open, and beating that spoiled girl in a battle. Quite a bit had happened in the short time she and her twin had been apart and she just couldn't help but wonder what he had been doing in the same time. The girl felt that what ever it was she wanted to be apart of it and that he should also take part in her adventures. Being twins, the two hadn't spent much time apart in the past and it was a queer feeling to not have the boy in her company.
Junko's chin throbbed as if by simply thinking of the wound reminded it that it should be doing it's job of sending pain signals to her brain. Without completely thinking it through, the girl swiftly brought her fingers to the bandage on her face. Nurse Joy's earlier words of "DON'T TOUCH IT!" rang out loudly in her head as she winced in pain from the contact. Her hand shot away as quickly as she had brought it up and she felt the other side of it collide with something rough when she flung it away from her person.
Hades hit the sand with a thud, and his one glowing red eye transformed into a glowing red swirl. The ghost brought one of his transparent hands to his skullface and rubbed the area of impact thoughtfully. A soft whine could be heard from under his skull mask as he looked to his trainer in confusion.
"OH-" is all that escaped her mouth as the same gloved hand once again returned to her face, this time to hold back a bit of laughter. Once her composure returned, Junko knelt down and carefully retrieved her friend from the gritty beach. "I'm really sorry..." she said, hugging the ghost close to her body. She then looked into his big crimson eye. The ghost returned the gaze and the two stared blankly at each other for a bit of time. A shiver went up the girl's spine as it almost seemed the red glowing sphere peered into the depths of her soul and she directed her gaze elsewhere.
"I'm gunna give him a call." she said finally.

Jacob and his Lairon both watched as the ground around them was littered with pointy, green spikes, but neither seemed to be too worried about it just yet. "Lairon, give 'em your Iron Head!" he called, pointing over at the Cacturne. The armor-clad beast let out a roar and began to charge towards Prickles, the ground trembling with every step it took. As it neared the Scarecrow Pokemon it lowered its head, the metal plating covering it glowing with a brilliant, silver sheen. "That's it! Clobber 'em, Lairon!" Jacob shouted.
Moeder, meanwhile, had let out a loud roar of her own but this one was from pain as once again the horrid little Mawile had chomped down on her leg, the strange feeling of the dark energy creeping through her body. Keegan watched the Kangaskhan carefully. Though he knew she was a powerhouse when it came to brawling, he actually hadn't battled with her before and as such was unsure of her capabilities. "Try a Dizzy Punch," he said, knowing it wasn't the most effective attack Moeder had, but he wasn't a fan of spamming the same moves over and over again. Moeder didn't seem to care one way or the other as she thrust her fist at the Mawile once more, the appendage glowing with a strange hue. I've really gotta let this girl see more fights, the redhead thought, amazed by the Kangaskhan's strength and gusto. ===== Miharu's mood was significantly more upbeat as she passed through the gates leading into the National Park, and by the time the fountain was within her sights, the old man at the department store was a distant memory. Miharu ignored the other people around her as she sat down on a bench facing the water fountain, releasing the two Pokemon that would be on the recipients of the TMs she had purchased. Tingle seemed a bit surprised to be out of its Poke Ball again so soon, and the scolding it had received earlier seemed to be fresh in its mind as well, for it hovered right next to Miharu, paying full attention to her even as she released her Bulbasaur, Lily.
"I think you'll make good use of this one," Miharu said as she applied the purple disc to the Bulbasaur's forehead - Sludge Bomb. Lily closed her eyes, frowning a bit as the move was committed to memory. It seemed so disgusting, yet there was no doubt she could tell it was a strong move. Next, Miharu used the other two discs on Tingle, and the psychic and steel type just hummed quietly as it processed this new knowledge. The Metang very much liked the two new moves it had just learned, Brick Break and Earthquake, though neither Pokemon would get a chance to try them out just yet as it was returned to its Poke Ball by Miharu.
Lily looked up at her trainer and nudged her leg, a bit concerned. Miharu smiled and pulled the Bulbasaur into her lap. "Don't worry about me, Lily, I'm just tired," she said, leaning back against the bench. "We'll practice the new TMs soon enough, I just don't have the energy to deal with Tingle right now. Lily nodded and nuzzled her head against Miharu's arm. She never had the energy to deal with Tingle, so the Bulbasaur was often impressed with her trainer's ability to tolerate the Metang's quirky behaviour.

The Sandshrew uttered a weak cry as it toppled to the ground, no longer able to battle thanks to Plua's relentless assault on it. Devon frowned and recalled the mouse Pokemon into its poke ball. "Okay, I admit that your Fearow's pretty tough." He seemed to think for a moment before choosing his next Pokemon. "Why don't you try this one on for size!" He threw his next poke ball quite eagerly, and a rather large snake Pokemon appeared. It hissed and snapped its jaws at Plua, and Riza had to check her Pokedex to see what it was.
"An Ekans," she said, looking up at her Fearow. "Hey Plua, do you think you can handle this one?" she asked. Plua glared down at her and gave an indignant squawk. "Of course you can," Riza murmured, looking back over at the serpent. "Start with a Peck attack," she said. The Fearow didn't waste a second in flying toward her opponent, striking out with her beak.
"Ekans, dodge!" Devon yelled. "This should be easy!" The snake Pokemon easily weaved out of the way of the Fearow's beak, and on his trainer's command quickly opened its mouth and spat out a spray of slick Acid. Plua hadn't been expecting to miss and the Fearow let out a pained cry as the acid began to eat away at her feathers.
"Okay, this'll be trickier than I thought," Riza murmured, eying the Ekans warily. She never really did like snakes in general, and an Ekans wasn't much better. "Shake it off, Plua! You're tougher than that!" Plua clicked her beak in agreement, though she couldn't help but be annoyed by the fact that some of her feathers had been ruined. It was time for some payback. * * * * * Luckily Noa was flying at a relatively slow pace otherwise Katie would never have been able to keep up with her. The Staravia carefully led her through the forest's winding path, and Katie marveled at the sight of the giant trees looming above her, and if her Pokedex hadn't been stolen and two of her Pokemon were off chasing the perpetrator she would have loved to spend a bit more time enjoying the forest. She was careful to avoid large roots and rocks that threatened to trip her and at one point she had to duck around a group of leafy cloaked Wormadam and Burmy that had dropped down in front of her.
Katie also found it odd that she hadn't encountered a single person in the forest as of yet, though she couldn't help but hope that someone else wouldn't find the Buneary first. Even though her Pokedex was registered to her, it didn't mean that the person who found it would be kind enough to try and return it to her.
Finally after what seemed like forever Katie rounded a corner and stepped into a clearing. Kord and Miles had cornered the little thief up against a large rock, though no one dared to make the first move. Katie could see that the rabbit Pokemon still had her Pokedex, and she quickly called out to her Pokemon. "Careful, guys! Try not to wreck my Pokedex!" Both nodded to show that they'd heard her, and then they ran forward, both using Quick Attack. * * * * * "Ah, quelle bonne idée!" Fantina said happily, clapping again. "All I know iz zat Cerulean City iz north of Vermilion, and zat another city lies between zem. It iz called Saffron, peut-être?" She didn't dwell on it too long, though, and snapped her fingers. Mismagius, who'd been busy terrorizing people who'd been passing by, gave a sad little sigh before floating over to the gym leader. "Mismagius, I would like you to return to your poke ball, si vous voulez bien." She turned back to Ryka, admiring the dress the younger trainer was wearing as well, and smiled. "Shall we be on our way, zen?"

It was about forty or so minutes later when Miharu opened her eyes, and she jolted upright when she realized she'd dozed off. Lily was still snoozing away on her lap as well, and the Bulbasaur let out a surprised grunt when she was nearly dumped on the ground. "Oh, sorry," Miharu mumbled, giving the grass type a gentle squeeze. "I can't believe we fell asleep." The Bulbasaur moved over to sit on the bench beside her trainer, and the two of them gazed at the water fountain for a little while before standing up to stretch.
A moment or so later Sparkle released herself from her Poke Ball as well, and after greeting Miharu and Lily, she wandered over to the fountain to peer into the water. The Flaaffy was watching her reflection in the water when something brown and furry appeared next to her in the water. "Flaa?" she questioned, looking up only to be met with a pair of warm, brown eyes belonging to a fluffy, yet quite familiar Pokemon. Miharu looked over to see an Eevee perched on the rim of the fountain next to Sparkle. A dark-coloured Pokemon with golden rings for markings had now hopped up on the other side of her, and the Flaaffy looked back at Miharu nervously. The normally cheerful Pokemon seemed very uneasy.
Lily looked over as a girl, wearing a simple yellow sundress made her way over to them, and she sighed and put her hands on her hips. "Umbreon, Eevee! How many times do I have to tell you two not to go around bothering people?" The sound of their trainer's voice made both Pokemon look over, and they both jumped down and ran over to her side. "Sorry if they were bothering you," she said apologetically. "Sometimes these two are too friendly for their own good."
"No, they were fine," Miharu answered as Sparkle ran over to her side. The light on the end of her tail was flickering, and she peeked out from behind Miharu's leg to look at the Eevee. "I think they startled my poor Flaaffy, though."
"Yeah, sorry about that," the girl said again, adjusting one of her long, reddish blonde ponytails. "Anyway, my name is Eve, and we were coming over to ask you if you and your Flaaffy and Bulbasaur would like to battle with us. You see, we've been trying to get this little one to evolve into an Espeon." She nodded to the Eevee at her feet, and it grinned up at her. "I'm sure he's very close."
Miharu looked to her two Pokemon, and smiled. "Sure, I don't see why not." She understood how hard it was to remain patient while awaiting a Pokemon's evolution. "As long as these two are up for it, anyway."

When Ace's good strategy failed with no chance of ever turning out good for them, Robin started to feel bad she hadn't trained with her Chimchar some more. They didn't really have anything that could hurt such a powerful pokemon. "Ace I am sorry I got you in this battle. If you like I can switch you out." Robin offered feeling that she should at least offer it to the outmatched Chimchar. Ace though was going to have none of that, the look that Ace sent her was a cold one. He was not going to back down no matter what even if there was no chance of winning.
"Well you certainly do have a determined Chimchar. Maybe you should teach it when to call it quits before it gets to hurt." Roark offered but he really didn't mean it in a mean way, more like a stating of facts. The gym leader though wasn't going to hold back his attacks because of that though. "Aerodactyl use your Bite attack again." Finally! He was sick of hearing them talk he wanted to go after that stupid monkey! A large and pretty darn scary grin appeared on the Aerodactyls face. The large ancient pokemon charged forward its powerful limbs driving it across the field with ease and speed.
"Ace dodge it please!" Robin cried out as she watched the large pokemons charge towards Ace. There was no way that her friend would be able to stay up after another one of those attacks. It was a good thing that Ace had no desire to get hit and he was agile enough to dodge most of the hit. The Chimchar managed to jump out of the way only suffering a blow to his side from the side of the Aerodactyls wing.
"You can't do anything if you keep dodging! Aerodactyl charge them with your Wing Attack!" The attack was relentless and Ace was just doing his best to not get hit.
"Oh I know that! Ace try to blast him with your Ember!" Robin didn't really know what to do but Roark was right they had to do something! Ace only shot Robin a look before huffing and as he jumped away he blasted the Aerodactyl with an Ember. It didn't do much damage but it did seem to surprise the other pokemon which let Ace escape a little farther away.

"One.... Send....." Junko murmured to herself while pressing said buttons on her mobile phone. A cute little Duskull phone strap dangled against her hand as she brought the device to her ear. The girl's face contorted when she heard this on the other end:
Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh stop telephonin' me Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh I'm busy Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh stop telephonin' me Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh
"I hate you sometimes Jomei..." she mumbled, hoping he wouldn't pick up at that exact time.
"Hey!" A voice on the other line said suddenly. "What's up?"
"Nothing much." she answered back. "Ummmm, what are you up to right now?" The girl asked her brother, hoping he would pick up on the hint that she missed him without her having to say it directly.
"Heading to Azalea I guess." The sound of him switching his phone from one ear to the other could be heard. "You?"
"Welllll, I don't know yet..." her voice sunk a bit low. Then she suddenly remembered about the news she wanted to share with her brother. She sucked some air into her lungs and boomed over the cell, "Hey, guess what!"
"W-what?" Jomei questioned lifting an eyebrow. He almost dropped his phone at the unexpected excitement in her voice. He did have his hands quite full, what with the mystery egg, the phone, and the little fiery mouse on his shoulder.
"I caught a Pokemon! A Tentacool, it's name is Nereus. Have you caught anything yet?" Her voice was still a bit loud.
"Well, no. I hav-"
"HA!" she rung out over the receiver. "I knew it! I caught my first before you. Junko one, Jomei ZIP!" she laughed, keeping a mental tally.
Hades stared at his partner while she spoke on the phone. He was just a tad hungry and tired of being ignored. Just wrap it up already, he thought. The ghost floated closer to his purple friend and began to tug on her clothes. "yuuuuuuuuuuuooo" he insisted, pulling harder on the cloth in his grasp when she didn't seem to notice his presence. He released the purple garb and crossed his spectral appendages in annoyance when she absentmindedly patted the spook on the head.
"Yeah, well.... I got an egg! So there! It'll hatch into a Pokemon soon," the purple haired boy retorted. "so don't think you're wining in this competition or anything..."
"An egg? What is it? Where'd you get it?"
"Ummm, I have no idea what it is to be honest. And I got it from a..." He paused a moment. Perhaps for a dramatic effect. "A Goddess..." Jomei looked up to the traces of sunlight shining through the lofty trees that surrounded him. A gleam appeared in his eye and a slight glisten of drool seeped from his mouth as he recalled the golden haired woman in his mind.
"Oooookay then..." Junko replied after a bit of awkward silence. "So, um, wanna meet up again or something?" she asked, getting right to the point of the current call.
"Oh, uh, sure..." he answered, his sister's question snapping him out of his trance. "Let's meet in the National Park or something. How's that?"
"Great! I'll see you there!" Junko immediately flipped her phone shut, not giving the boy a chance to respond. She then grabbed her sulking specter by the skull and ran across the glistening beach. This of course was a race and she wasn't about to lose this competition either.

Kasiya and Nova had started walking towards Jubilife City when the girl remembered her bike, and she quickly set it up while Nova watched with interest. Once the bike was assembled Kasiya hopped on, smiling apologetically at Nova, as the Charmeleon had been looking up at her trainer imploringly. "Sorry, Nova," she said as the lizard was returned to her Pokeball, "but you're too big to ride with me now." She felt a little sad as she clipped the ball onto her belt, but she smiled to herself. Someday, maybe you'll be big enough to carry me places, she thought, closing her eyes and trying to imagine what Nova would look like if she were to evolve into a Charizard. Would she be big and strong, like her big brother was? Kasiya laughed and began to pedal towards Jubilife, shaking the doubt from her mind. Of course she would be - she was related to Nitro, wasn't she?
The ride up the route connecting Jubilife to Sandgem didn't take too long, though it was mostly uphill (and Kasiya had to navigate her bike around a bunch of ledges that were too high to ride up) and before long she found herself back in the busy city of Jubilife. Though she knew it was probably a waste of time, she did her best to look around for her friends, wondering how hard it would be to spot two teenagers, one with bright pink hair, the other with bright red. She realized pretty quickly that it was a very dumb idea, as she saw several people sporting those hair colours, and she sighed. She spotted a tall building with a blue roof, and at once she knew it was the PokeMart. At least some things are the same as back home in Kanto, she thought, dismounting her bike and collapsing it before heading inside.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan couldn't even begin to describe the relief he felt upon seeing the Exeggutor recalled into its Pokeball. Two down, and one to go, and he still had Shelgon (who was relatively untouched) and (an albeit poisoned) Blaziken if he needed them. His initial thoughts about Erika and her favourite Pokemon would prove to be correct as her last Pokemon was, in fact, a Vileplume, and it didn't look like it was going to be a pushover, either.
It seemed the Flower Pokemon had barely even made it out of its Pokeball before it was lobbing a rather large ball of gross-looking sludge at Shelgon. Not wanting to have another Pokemon suffering from poison, Jaeshan knew exactly what to do, and so did Shelgon. He didn't even have to say it as the dragon had already thrown up a glistening, green shield. The Sludge Bomb slammed into the Protect barrier, exploding on impact and sending bits of sludge flying off in every direction and Shelgon lowered the barrier, ready for whatever Erika and her giant Flower Pokemon would throw at them next.
=-=-=-=-= A bit of a scowl appeared on Erika's face as Shelgon's Protect completely shielded it from the effects of her Vileplume's Sludge Bomb, and she felt her confidence plummet. She'd gotten off to such a strong start, too! The gym leader sighed and closed her eyes. No, she wouldn't give up hope, not yet! The Shelgon was tough, but if she could take it down, then finishing off the weakened Blaziken would be no problem. That, and she knew that Protect rarely worked if used in succession.
"Vileplume, again! Sludge Bomb!" she commanded, her voice ringing with authority. The Flower Pokemon nodded, tapping its foot as it eyed the Shelgon. She wasn't overly upset that her last Sludge Bomb had been blocked, as she was a pretty easygoing Pokemon, but she could tell that her trainer really wanted to win this. She lowered her head and sent another ball of disgusting sludge hurtling towards Shelgon.

Ryka nodded, a smile growing on her face. "That's right, we must pass through Saffron City first. Are you ready to go?" She adjusted her bag, and bent down to give Iris a scratch on the head. "Would you like to walk with us, Iris?" The Espeon gave a mew of agreement and dashed up the cement pathway. The pair in purple followed Iris down the path; but not before Ryka tried to imitate Fantina's twirl. "Was that right?" She asked with a giggle.
After Fantina put Mismagius back into her ball, Ryka commented, "She really is beautiful", making a mental note to look into the species. "If you don't mind my asking, where did you two meet? or rather, where are you from?" Ryka didn't mean to pry, but she was very curious as to where the ghost came from.

With Beacon properly distracted, and his other Pokemon tending to themselves, Mike's mind wandered, like it always did, to the thought of his love: Flannery. There were few moments where the red-headed beauty wasn't on the boy's mind. He sighed. "She must hate me." he said sullenly. "And why wouldn't she? Who wants a crazy, criminal, manipulative boyfriend? Certainly not someone as smart and beautiful as her. She deserves better."
He wondered what she was up to right now. "2:34. After lunch. She's doing her drills." Every day Flannery, by order of her grand father, drilled with her Pokemon. This included training battles, meditation, and Mike's favorite, a trip to the hot springs. The thought of Flannery in her black and red bathing suit caused the boy to shudder in pleasure. "She has the most lovely figure." Mike struggled to say. "Those legs..." He practically bit his fingers off trying to cope with the image. But no matter how enjoying it was imagining her in a swimsuit, it didn't change the fact that he wasn't there with her, like he should be. "I should be helping her train, supporting her. She's new to being a Gym Leader, and I'm here in a volcano talking to myself. I'm the very picture of mental health." His spirits sunk. He had to talk to her. He needed to hear her sweet voice. She had this cute, ever so faint hum to her voice. Whenever she spoke, it was like a song just for him. "Just for me..."
Mike, unable to contain his lonliness any longer, reached for his PokeNav. He entered in the Gym Leader's number and went to press the send button. He froze. "What if she won't answer? What then? WHAT THEN!? If she doesn't answer I don't know what I'll do? I'll-I'll have to throw myself into the volcano, or hit my head with a rock! That's it! I'll just have to die! Again!" He bit his bottom lip and screamed as he smashed his finger into the green button. The phone lit up, and began dialing. "AAGH! What did I do?! She's not going to answer! There's no possible way she's even remotely, possibly, AT ALL even able to begin to entertain the thought of wondering what to WANT to ponder how she could possibly feel about me! Not anymore! All I've done is just sent her one giant electronic slap to the face! Peh! 'The very thought of Mike calling me right now makes me sick' she'll say! No. That's not what she'd say. She'd do that thing where she tries to not show that she's upset by trying to suck in her frown and look away, but then she'd realize how silly she is because I'm not there! I'm on the phone! HAHAHA! The phone! Wait! This brings us back to the topic of WHY THE HELL DID I CALL HER?!" There was a moment of silence as Mike's brain tried both to catch up and formulate a suitable answer for the question.
"I guess..." he said, calming down, not realizing that Flannery had picked up like, six sentences ago. "It's because I miss her. It's because I love her more than anything else in the world and me being away from her is worse than drowning, or being alone and thirsty in the desert. Or burning alive. Or tumbling down a mountain and hitting every sharp rock on the way down." Mike loosed a sigh, jagged by sobs that accompanied the tears that were forming in his eyes. His cheeks steamed as they rolled down his face. As Mike rubbed his face dry, he noticed the timer on his phone. It read nearly a minute; meaning that Flannery had not only answered, but most likely heard everything. "AAGH!" he screamed again, nearly dropping his PokeNav. "F-Flannery!"

Sapphire was pretty wary of the Nurses that were floating in and out of the room administering this and that to his trainer. Even though they'd treated himself several times, well, it was just different with a human. He wished he could treat her himself. Only if he had opposable thumbs! And walked on two legs! And didn't breathe flames that caused 3rd degree burns! He exhaled, a lit of smoke floating into the room before wafting into nothingness. He was what he was, besides, Mitsu seemed to be doing better. He relaxed even more when she stirred, awakening from her slumber, headache pretty much gone.
. . .
Lucario fired off a Metal Sound in his best attempt to deflect most of the attack, which he managed to do successfully. Though the attack was so sporadic that his circular Metal Sound attack only deflected the thunderbolts that were headed in his general direction. The attack struck, though weakened, was still too much for him. He knew he could not go on. The Brick Break from earlier paired with the level was too much for him to withstand. His opponent was tough, he would acknowledge that.
At least I know Master is in good hands should I not be able to protect her. . .
Mitsu had arrived, running beside her blue Houndoom. She had only seen the end of the battle at a distance, not exactly quite sure when Lucario had fled the room leaving Sapphire in charge. She recalled her fallen Pokemon. "What happened here?" she asked, puzzled by the strange scene.

He couldn't believe it! Such power, such...he couldn't even think of a word to describe it! Kilik watched as Lucario fell and then turned his attention to Treecko and Chimchar. "How'd that treat ya?" he laughed, slipping his hands into his pockets. Treecko sat down on the grass and smiled up at her trainer. She one day hoped to be his favorite! But with Cable there, that was a long day away. Maybe Kilik could have many favorites? Chimchar hopped up and down, cheering at Cable. He couldn't believe it! That was the most powerful thing he'd ever seen in his whole life! Then again, his life hadn't been that long anyway, but he was certain nothing would top that! Cable took a few deep breaths then wiped his forehead with his forearm. He looked over at Kilik and gave him a thumbs up. "EleEle!!" he cheered. Kilik ran over to his Electabuzz and high-fived him. "Great work, Cable!"
At that moment, Mitsu had run up to them. He had to admit - her Lucario on the ground and all three of his Pokemon out would look suspicious. "Mitsu!" Kilik cried, approaching her. He looked down at the Houndoom by her side and raised an eyebrow. A blue Houndoom? he thought tilting his head. He turned his attention back to her and cleared his throat. "Allow me to explain..." he tapped his chin as he tried to recount the events. "I struggled with the moral dilemma of either staying here with you or heading on to Oreburgh and meeting you there. When I decided to leave, Lucario showed up and began to insult me. So, to protect my honor, and show him that I could protect you when you needed me, I battled him. And then you showed up." He scratched the back of his head and sighed. "I know I probably sound like a jerk," he continued, "thinking that if I left, you'd be okay. These headaches have happened to you before and so I figured this would pass by just as fast as the others. Looks like I was right," he smiled at her, then kissed her forehead.
"But I decided to head on to Oreburgh alone," he said finally, "Not because I don't love travelling with you; I do. I just want to get a lot of training in with Chimchar and I don't want you to have to go at my Shuckle's pace, y'know?" He looked down at his Chimchar and smiled, "He's got a lot of potential and I want to unlock that. But if you need me," he turned back to her and held her hand in his, "You know you can contact me whenever you want to." Cable rolled his eyes. Boy, Kilik was sure being a sweetheart to this girl. He'd never seen him act so mushy before. Chimchar felt the same way Cable did. Girls were silly. To prove his point, he looked over at Treecko, who was blushing madly. Oh, her trainer! Kilik found her! Kilik was Mitsu's Pan! It was the only logical explanation for her master's actions! They were in mad, blissful love and couldn't ever be torn apart! True love would conquer all! "I hope you understand, Mittens."

Nodding along like an attentive listener Mitsu heard out his story. A battle, of course, was the logical explanation and for two obvious reasons. One, it was Lucario's way of protecting her and two, Kilik was always in battle somewhere, somehow almost all the time. And though she felt a bit saddened that he'd left her, she understood. Her headaches always seemed to pop up at the most inconvenient times and she didn't want them getting in the way of his training. Her heart fluttered as he kissed her forehead, he had to bend down a bit to do so since their height different was rather large.
But then it came crashing down, and fast. He wanted to be alone to train. She was merely in the way. Mentally she sighed, but on the outside she smiled. she'd never let him know that she was saddened by his choice. "Your Chimchar's so cute too! I'm sure you'll raise it to be big and strong just like Cable. And Treecko too!" she laughed, reaching over to pat the little Grass type on the head. She looked up to him, already feeling a pang of sadness. She stood up on her tippy toes and tugged his arm downward to kiss him on the cheek. "I understand Kilik."

Riza thought for a moment, wishing there was some kind of move she could use where Plua wouldn't have to get close to the Ekans, but the Fearow had no ranged attacks whatsoever. "Okay, let's go with Fly," she said finally. The Fearow gave an annoyed squawk in reply. She still didn't like being ordered around by this human, but she had to agree that Fly seemed like the best option right now. She flapped her wings and pushed herself up high into the sky, looking back over her shoulder at the annoying Ekans.
"Oh no you don't! Ekans, use Poison Sting! Don't let it get away!" Devon shouted. The snake Pokemon rose up out of its coils, its mouth already gaping open as it sent a volley of sharp purple barbs into the sky after the airborne Fearow. However, Plua saw it coming and she veered off to the right, letting out another indignant squawk as she watched the barbs soar by her.
Riza sighed as she kept her gaze trained on the sky, glad that Plua was so agile in the air. "Go for it!" she shouted, very much wanting to get this battle over with. After all, she needed to catch up with Crenu, though a small part of her couldn't help but wonder if he was glad for the current separation. 'I hope he's all right,' she thought, watching as Plua swooped in for the strike. * * * * * The two swift Pokemon closed in on the Buneary at high speeds, but the rabbit Pokemon seemed to know just what to do. She decided that the strange thing she'd stolen was quite useless, as she couldn't even eat it, and before bouncing up to avoid the oncoming attacks she threw the Pokedex high into the air, seeing as this was more than likely the reason the human girl had chased her so far. Her strong legs carried her up on top of the rock, and she could only laugh as the Buizel and Elekid crashed into each other as a result.
Katie, meanwhile, had let out an ear piercing screech at the sight of her precious Pokedex flying through the air, though before she could take a step to try and rescue it from the terrible fate of being smashed into thousands of tiny, useless pieces on the forest floor, Noa had come to the rescue, turning over so that the device was snared safely within her claws. Cooing, the Staravia returned the device to Katie, who clutched it to her chest happily. "Thanks, Noa, I owe you one," she said, placing it carefully in her bag. She looked over at Kord, who'd picked himself up first after colliding partially with Miles and Partially with the rock. "Okay Kord, it's time for payback! Give that little rabbit a taste of your Thundershock!" * * * * * Fantina laughed with delight at Ryka's attempted twirling. "Oh, you are oh-so very close," she said, walking up to the girl. "Except zat your arm must be more like zis-" she held up her own arm to demonstrate, "and you must hold yourself more like zis. It iz all in ze posture." The two must have looked a little silly, practicing their twirls and spins in the middle of the route like that, but it apparently didn't bother either of them.
They continued walking along the path once more, and Fantina looked over at the younger girl. "Merci beaucoup," she replied, delighted once again. "Mismagius and I have been together for a very long time, though she has only been a Mismagius for a short while. Vous voyez, Mismagius est la forme évoluée de Misdreavus. Oh, and we are both of Sinnoh origin. I am from Hearthome City, where I currently reside as ze gym leader. Il ya un grande salle pour les contests, and it iz located very close to my gym. Je suis une femme très chanceuse, si je puis dire!"

The Ember escapes just weren't enough and eventually Ace's luck ran out. The large Aerodactyl eventually managed to pin down Ace and without waiting the vicious ancient pokemon dug its fangs into Ace's side. The poor Chimchar cried out before he fell unconscious. When the Aerodactyl sensed that it had won it let out a loud roar of victory and backed off heading over to Roark to recieve a pat on the head. "Good job Aerodactyl, all that training has really paid off." The large pokemon practically purred under the rock gym leaders praise and pats.
"Oh Ace!" Robin called as she ran over and picked up her hurt pokemon. Upon closer inspection the Chimchar didn't have any really bad wounds. Roark had to have trained the other pokemon a lot in order for its jaws not to just snap the Chimchar in half with just one bite. Sniffling slightly Robin carefully put her pokemon back in its pokeball and headed back over to her side of the arena. "You did a great job Ace, no backing down even against those odds." Robin was proud of her pokemon even if he didn't win. She was about to put the pokeball away when she felt something nudge her legs. Looking down she saw that there was a Geodude with a tray poking at her. "Huh?"
"We have a pokemon healing machine in here in case things get a little out of hand. Geodude knows how to use it. If you give your Chimchar to him then he will heal him up for you." Roark offered as he patted his pokemon on the head some more.
Grinning widely Robin happily placed Ace's pokeball down on the tray. "Thank you very much Geodude and Roark." Now that Ace was going to be healed up good as new Robin turned back to Roark and frowned. As she looked at the Aerodactyl she spotted several burn marks on it from Ace's embers. They probably were pretty tender areas that would probably really hurt if they could hit them. Robin wondered what pokemon to send out next for a moment before deciding that she was going to put her trust in Slowpoke. Sure he didn't have the most battle experience but she trusted him and he was pretty strong when he did manage to hit his enemies. "All right Slowpoke I believe in you!" Robin tossed out her pokeball to let loose the dopey pokemon on the battlefield. On the sidelines Ampersand just shook his head, there was no way she was going to win this battle now.

OK lines were a pain and he didn't have a water pokemon that could surf anymore. Still the water was pretty small, hmm, Apollo was really good at jumping, maybe he could jump over? Taking out Apollos pokeball Dante released the black and white fire unicorn. As always Apollo drew a lot of attention but Dante was used to it, ignoring them he headed over to his first pokemon and patted him on the neck for a second. "Apollo, do you think that you can jump over the water here?"
The fire horse glanced over at the small bit of water before letting out a snort of steam. Of course he could jump over a puny puddle like that! His trainer must have hit his head pretty darn hard if he thought so little of him now. Heck he could probably run over the water like one of those lizards!
"Heh, sorry for underestimating you buddy." Dante smiled slightly as he glanced down at Hera. "Gunna have to put you away for this Hera." Dante carefully shifted the egg around until he could put the Heracross away and not drop said egg. Once he managed that he was faced with the task of getting on the much bigger Apollo's back while not dropping the egg. "Oh boy."

He smiled at her and again kissed her forehead. "I'll see ya around, Mittens." Kilik hopped back onto his bike, then looked at his Pokemon. "I suppose you three oughta get back to your PokeBalls, huh?" he looked at Cable, who was very tired and slightly beaten up. The Electabuzz nodded as he allowed Kilik to recall him. Treecko wanted to stay on her Master's shoulder, but that bike made it a lot harder to hold on to him than it should have. Besides, he didn't need her to weigh him down, and thus slow his roll. She too, was recalled to her PokeBall, where she resumed her nap. Chimchar on the other hand, refused to have any of it! He was going to stay out of his ball, and ride the wind with Kilik! "Chimchar," Kilik laughed, scratching the back of his head, "Please? Just get in the ball for the bike ride. What do ya say when we get to Jubilife and I heal up Cable, you can run around until I get back on my bike?" He had to admit that the little Chimchar sure had a lot of spirit. Groaning, the Chimchar crossed his arms and allowed himself to be put back into the Pokeball. Now with everyone put away, Kilik cleared his throat as he pushed down on his pedals and started going biking towards the large city of Jubilife, which loomed in the distance.
He hopped over ledges, swerved around trees and effortlessly flew through the grasses of Route 202. SandGem was a distant memory to him as he pulled up the ramp that lead to Jubilife City. He slowed down somewhat, still amazed at how large this city was. As he was pulling up to the Pokemon Center, he caught sight of a battle going on with a Lairon, Mawile, Cacturne, and Kangaskhan. Kilik smiled and remembered his own Aggron, wondering how close that particular Lairon was to evolving. He almost felt like warning the guy about how angry they could really get. Upon closer expection, he recognized that Cacturne - It was Prickles! That meant that Sasha was battling these two Steel trainers. As for the owner of the Kangaskhan, it was none other than Keegan. Go get 'em! he thought, tying his bike to a post outside of the Pokemon Center. He stepped inside and felt the cool rush of the air conditioner blow over him. It felt nice, a stark contrast to the summer heat outside, though Sinnoh was much cooler in comparison to his home region of Hoenn. "Excuse me," Kilik said, placing Cable's Pokeball on the counter, "I'd like one of my Pokemon healed."
"Of course!" the Nurse Joy said happily, taking the PokeBall, "It'll be a few minutes." She smiled and walked away. Kilik leaned against the counter, tossing Chimchar's ball up and down in his hand before finally letting the Fire-type out for a romp. Shaking as he came out of the ball, the chimp looked up at Kilik and stuck his hands into the air, closing his fists. He was in the mood for a battle, after watching Cable tear that dog looking thing up! Then again, Cable got his fair share of being torn apart too. "You can battle the first trainer I come across," Kilik said, looking down at the monkey Pokemon. "And you'll win no doubt!" He gave him a thumbs up, which was returned by the small simian along with a big smile. Travelling with Kilik was the best idea he'd ever had! He sure hoped Piplup was enjoying his time with his new trainer as well.
