Xetrina_Xirtonia Exiled Guardian Xetrina_Xirtonia Exiled Guardian Xetrina_Xirtonia Question... How do you kill something that has been dead, walking around for several years, constantly electrocuted, in an insane asylum, ? The bastards are immune to fire, and water does nothing... I would've tried holy water, but it's terribly difficult to aim, and I've only got 3 of those, and there's 9 of these freaks. Reference: Thief: Deadly Shadows Well if you're talking about zombies then I can help you out. What you gotta do is aim at a certain part of the brain that controls their motor skills which is how they move basically but slow so you have enough to strike the area. That area is located in the back in the lower part of the brain. Onces that has been removed or been blown into tiny bits the zombie won't be a zombie anymore. Oh and don't you dare use the Zombie Survival Guide because it's crap, Trust me. I've been talking with a few ex Marines and they disprove everything about the guide guiding your survival against a zombie attack. My favorite one that they disproved is that using a crowbar is the best close combat weapon to smash a zombie's head. Okay one that's crap and two if you tried to smash a zombie's head with a crowbar you'd have to do that repeatedly which would give you Carpal tunnel for a week so don't use the Guide at all. Infact that guide will get you killed easily. I severed jammed a dagger into the back of their neck, where the brain meets the spinal column, and they lived, and since there are no guns in this game (thank god), I can't blow their brains out. In any case, according to a guide I found, fire does kill them... I'll have to try that, since last I checked, it doesn't dust 'em. EDIT: Forgot to mention, they're as fast as the average human, twice as strong, but, as expected, incredibly stupid. I know this, because I saw one run right over a mine I dropped. I dissagree with them being fast because there muscle are decaying and the nerves are mainly talorent to pain which has no effect when they've being pushed off so it may seem like they're stronger. Stupid yes but Fast no Your mind has been poisoned too much by movies. Go through the Abysmal Gale in Thief: Deadly Shadows, and tell me they're slow. If they have a reason to, they'll run just as fast as everthing else does (Slightly slower than the main character) Okay that is just a game where they 'made' the zombies fast to give you a challenge sorry but zombies can't be fast. They're huge flaws to be found if you say that real zombies are fast. It's common sense to say that they're slow than fast really. Oh and you can't just say zombies are fast because a game has fast zombies. I gave reason why they're slow so give me reason why they're fast.

Here's another reason why they would be slow, besides decaying tissue...rigor mortis.
Now that I've made my plug into that conversation....I shall resume waiting quietly for people to get to Midgar...specifically Elena.

Er... I believe Xet was asking for help with the specific game... which is why he said they move fast.
Not played it, so I can't help much.
Just to remind you all... zombie's don't really exist. Even if voodoo zombies do they are not brain eating killers unless thier master desires them to do that.

How quickly a zombie can move, is dependant upon how much muscle mass decays, would that not be true? Consider, if you will, that for whatever reason, the muscle mass has not yet decayed?
Now also consider this, if they cannot be fast because of decaying muscle, then how can they be strong.
Anyways, when I said that movies had poisoned your brain too much, I was refering to the fact that you seemed completely unaccepting of the possiblity of an undead that can run. I know, acknowledge, and agree with the fact that most media portrays most 'fleshy' undead as slow.
I've also noticed however, that skeletal undead, which have little to no muscle mass, almost always run.
On a side note, turns out fire DOES kill them, and these ones were called 'puppets.' They just don't get dusted for some reason.

In the matter of skeletal undead, the source of origin is often different than fleshy undead, thus the discrepancy in speed/strength. While fleshy undead is caused by a curse, disease, or radioactivity depending on medium from which you research fleshy undead, skeletal undead is most often brought about by necromancy, in which the bones are animated without the need of tissue, and are able to move and operate much in the way of a dancing sword or animated armor (i.e., a metal golem).

Looking for GroupFun comic,.Richard the warlock is pure evil, he's amazing. That would be a form of necromancy. Animating a person's skeleton while they're still alive makes an interesting twist, to be certain..

Exiled Guardian whoa whoa whoa don't get the undead confused with zombies because they're different A zombie is the variety of undead that is a human (or other) body that was dead, or nearly so, and became a mindless killer, bent on propogating the source of its state and/or feeding, yes? A zombie is undead, but there are various forms of undead besides zombies.

I'm sorry but you need to figure this out. One of them is half way between dying and half way between living. It's kinda odd to say but it is... and the other is already dead and then rose from its grave

I'd also like to add how you think movies poisoned my head about zombies... well... I'm sorry to say that I've read more about zombies and undead then watched a movie about it. I've played video games about zombies like yourself who only mentioned that you've just play a video game about zombies and basing this whole conversation on that.

The vast majority of zombies/fleshy undead deal with already dead then brought back. The only zombie style I've seen where they were only halfway between dying was 28 Days Later. All other styles make it obvious that they're dead before being 'zombified.'
(And for the record, I wasn't the one who said your mind was poisoned or anything like that.)
