What's the age difference between James and Teddy anyways? 9 years?

Six years if James was thirteen in the epilogue (as Teddy was nineteen). Seven if he was twelve.

Sorry, I was reading 'What We Talk About When We Talk About Love' and in Arthur's quote "What's 8 years between lovers?", I immediately thought of James/Teddy and wondered who and what that quote would be. I figure James would say it.

He only loses those things because he can't be satisfied with what those people are willing to offer him. Teddy does loves him, just not in the way that James wishes he did I'm afraid, and it broke his heart when James ignored him at breakfast.

But James didn't ignore him at breakfast. James thought that Teddy was ignoring him, which is why he didn't say anything and just went back upstairs.

Heehee. I think I've made James into a teenage girl whose boyfriend just broke up with her. And I've never even had a boyfriend, so I've got no experience! 8D Aw, poor kid. He's getting more twisted into being like I am every day.
