Goth is all about the music, and I mean Goth Rock not trash like Manson or My Chem or any of that s**t. I'm talking real Goth Rock/Post-punk bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, The Cure, Sexgang Children etc. Well you're young so I suppose you can be forgiven for not having a damn clue. @Kaze: Fiiiine crying Meanie

People have taken Goth,which usually was a term to define a particular type of music in the olden(I think it was either Classical Period or Renaissance...It might be wrong. sweatdrop ) age and turned it into depression. crying

It's also not a fashion statement, nor music. That is just the popularized modern usage of the word. Kind of like gay. The Goths were an old culture back in medieval times, the reason the trend is called goth is because it reminds people of the creepy old castles and mansions they made. On a slightly related note, why do people have to be depressed or dark to feel like they are important or different? Goth, Emo, Punk, all of these people give themselves a horrible image for the sake of being cool and different, without even considering that they have made up a major portion of modern society. Goths and Emos aren't anything special anymore, they aren't unique. They're just there, looking all depressed and annoying.
