you know ur a band geek when everyone in the school knows your the biggest bang geek ever, you admit it to your BD, she says ur not a loser you just Rock! And you're actually proud of that instead of being embarrased.
you'd rather practice than go on a huge vacation for free.
when you do go you miss your instrument desperately
you think a song like "Godzilla eats Las Vegas" Is not stupid in a funny way but "cool" (If you've never heard/seen that performed you have to look it up on youtube. it's awsome!

You know you're a band geek when everyone in your school knows that you're a band geek because you have a band sweatshirt, band jacket, and band shirt(s) that you wear regularly.
You know you're a band geek when your average fall weekend includes a football game Friday night, and/or a competition, and/or an audition for a music group outside school.
You know you're a band geek when you have 2 band camps: one where you go up into the mountains for a week and where you should dress for cooler weather, and another a week later that lasts 2 weeks at school where you should dress like you're spending the day in the desert, complete with a 2+ Liter bottle of water.

You know you're a Band Geek when...
...You use the excuse "I can't, I have practice/rehearsal" more than 5 times a day. ...You criticize how marching bands in cartoons play and march. ...You get annoyed TO THE MAX when people try to imitate you guys marching and playing just to get on your nerves. ...The Band Room is more comfortable than your house. ...You've attempted to have sleep-overs//overnighters in the Band Room before. (I've actually tried this. x3)

You know you're a band geek when most of the school is talking about the football game on ESPN last night, but you and your friends are talking about DCI on ESPN2.

You know you're a band geek when you know everything you found little treasures in the cubby room like: old jamba juice or gum on the floor.

You know you're a band geek when you repeat everything the BD says 24/7...For instance, like a ballerina, my friends and I say that all the time.

You know you're a band geek when all you talk about for several days is how the band performance at the game or festival went...to NON BAND MEMBERS!

You know you're a band geek when you roll step to each class and by the time you get there you have a line taking up the whole hallway. ((hehe))
You know you're a band geek when you get home and march down the street with your friends playing marching music.
((I've done both X3 ))

You know you're a band geek when you try to march in time to your show...on the way to class and can't come up with a good excuse as to why you're late other than, "There was a slow part."

fushigi_youkai You know you're a band geek when you try to march in time to your show...on the way to class and can't come up with a good excuse as to why you're late other than, "There was a slow part." so very true. i do that all the time. you know you're a band geek if you can never walk out of step anymore. if you start traversing and marching while in a store

You know you're a band geek when your mom's a band mom and your best friend's mom is a band mom, and they became band-mom-best-friends because you and your best friend were in band...
if that makes any sense at all.
