And when that happens those in the manor need to not ignore that it happened because we've been ignoring that in favor of training. We have no sense of urgency to get out and fight again and putting the Senshi into situations where they will screw up. I do think we've become too focused on perfection in battle and your next move with DV along with what Chef posted should be the push we need to get anxious to get outside the manor walls.

Now I'm not even sure what/if I should post at all. You can make Cae do whatever it is you need him to do to get out of your way if that's what needs to happen, or whatever. I don't care. While I am in adamant agreement that we should have had several weeks covered in RP time already (considering this RP has been going for what, a year now? At least?), from what I have read in these past few "soap box" posts (and no, I'm not saying that in a derogatory, sarcastic way; I just don't know a better term for them. Maybe Insight posts? Can someone get us a good term for it that doesn't sound crass?) it feels to me like my non-senshi characters are holding things up. No, I'm not going to take them out of the RP since they've already played a significant part. However, I think I will just discard my side thing about Cel dying and just say she was a bit tired from a cold or something. That is too much side stuff and I feel like it'll never take hold in the RP anyhow, and really isn't central to the scout plot. The key to moving forward in a decent time frame is to discard things that really are not essential to the plot itself. I know several things I can do as far as my characters go to get rid of the nonessential stuff.
One thing I need to know is how much Lunette should or shouldn't take part in what the senshi do. She is supposed to go bad, and I think that'll have to happen way sooner than what my OC history said in order to even happen at all, but how soon? Do I need to have her hold back from the next battle against DV? Every little action Lune takes will push her one way or the other, and yes, her actions (or lack there of) in the next fight against DV will have an impact, so I guess it's a matter of how soon you all want to have her as an enemy, but either way, I need to start pushing her that way somehow.

I need to write up DV's next post tonight because while I have other posts that I've sort of already written up, this one I need to get started on because if you think the last few ones have been a little cray cray this one is probably going to go even further...but with a purpose.
And the good thing about the different ideas we have it that we can shuffle them around a bit I think, revisit things as the RP progresses. ^^

Not really sure how much Lunette needs to be pushed in that dark direction, maybe like bru had suggested before his villain could start getting to her? Forget exactly his idea's.
As for the doppels what teams should we make? And do doppels only drain energy from the person they are copying? If so we should do the classic flip opponents after trying to fight our own doppels and fight our partners?

not going to lie i was really really thinking of having Nyk just kind of just destroy the doppels and try to knock down the gate instead and effectively challenge the senshi outside kinda in a manner similar to a kid throwing rocks at a window and keep the senshi up for a good while kinda of making a ruckus if that works for everyone. either wise i might just tag up with them and step in as needed in the fights?

We can still deal with the Cel stuff because besides all the Melinda stuff going on there's also a whole lot of general darkness going on with Gaia and the Nyx stuff to worry about. We don't know if the Crows at the beginning are Nyx's doing or Melinda's and if we do branch out into the wider issues plaguing Gaia then what's going on with Cel can be a part of that. It's just that right now, and Cree does make a good point about it, we go so far with a scene and then decide it's over with and the transition from it is a very rough stop and not a smother move into the next portion of what we're doing. I think the better the whole group can work on those transitions the better the whole RP will begin to flow and the easier it will be to come up with good ideas.
Nobody is saying any one character or person is gumming up the works. It's just a problem the RP is going through issues with pacing and flow. Because when I said what I did about the side stuff it was that we all were trying too hard to play out every waking hour of the day. We were trying to figure out what hour it was and how to do the training and who was where and all these little separate interactions going on, like that debate between Seren's grandmother and Aylin. I do think in the lead up to the Dias we need to tighten things for a while and focus on the town so when we get to the Dias that scene will have far much more meaning for our characters. Because when Gaia speaks to them, if some of them feel like they've failed again, it should give them not only what their destiny is but also that much needed reassurance that not all is lost. Plus, and I don't know exactly how you planned to do Lunette's descent, if Gaia doesn't speak to Lunette then she could have a sense of alienation that would make that pull to the darkness far easier for her to accept.

Question, is Nyk set up to be like the wolf in sheep's clothing where the girls don't know he's on the side of darkness when he steps in to help them? Because I feel like instead of him just deading all the Doppels and that's it, if that's the goal with him, Nyk saving one or more of the girls as they deal with a Doppel will get them to trust him making it far easier for him to pull off whatever grand scheme he has in mind.
Bit of column a and b cheebs, When he isnt raising all sorts of trouble for the girls he will look like a human kind of like cae he does not normally look or goes to great lengths to hide his inhuman features. With the doppels he simply views them as a bait to draw out what he wants and discard it immediately after.
as for his more sheep like self, well hes going to cause a slightly more mischievous personal problems for the girls and also spy in his spare time and slowly gain there trust that no he isnt this ebil being~

Just know that *if* a senshi teams up with Lunette, they will be in for a lot of trouble since her transformation is hit and miss depending on how mad she is. As to the particulars on battle strategy, pfft beats me. No clue. I'm not going to try to make any assumptions in that regard. Kags's switch hit idea sounds as good as anything.
And my mind is made up, I'm not going through with the Cel side stuff. I've lost any desire to do that and really see no point. It was just another whim idea that should have just died before it even started. I'm cutting my losses like a good poker player.
Alright, So everyone is clear. No one person or their OCs is at fault for things. It's not even the matter of a character. It's about the RP itself. I read the RP in its entirety, and there was just a trend I noticed. We keep making things fast or slow and there's no balance. The issue isn't you or your OCs, it's the overall feel of the RP. As the owner of the RP, it's my duty to keep it any even flow throughout so that it feels like we can proceed with things easily. as I stated previously, I want to be fair to everyone, and in no way am I restricting anyone from what they want to do. I just would like to see some synergy. We're a family, right? v-v Ideas can happen, but why do them all at once, you know?

If you go back and read my character profile, it's the dark enemy of the Celestial Council that is messing with Lunette and wants to use her. And just for point's sake, Lunette will see how Caelen doesn't trust Nyk one bit, so she won't either. She figures if he doesn't trust one of his own kind, then it's probably safe to say he's one to steer clear from completely. So essentially bru's character will have no impact on Lunette's madness. It's 100% the Serpent Star. I do need to go back into that particular OC profile and edit/update a few things.
Working on a post to change from sunset-ish to midnight for DV.
I was writing a simple post for Charm in response to what Caelen said, but it's not really important, she wasn't going to speak really...plus I have a longer post for her in the morning.
