Rook noted, as he fitted a backpack upon the Jedi's shoulders.
"Press this button when I tell you," He said, motioning to a small buton on the pack. A small remote flew out and floated down the hallway towards the mines.
"This place is a giant minefield. Who thought Drako would give me the means to destroy his entire operation on Geonosis? I just came here for the JK droids."
He gave a boost to the Jedi into the ventilation ducts, and followed in himself, closing the grate behind him.
"Actually, come to think of it, it may not be too long after all."

As the outlaw dozed off beside the door of a salon, he was suddenly awoken by the ringing of a comlink. he blinked and patted himself down to find it before remembering it was on his wrist.
He tabed the answer key.
"Hello?" he asked before getting an answer.
"Comander Tolm?" he repeated, somewhat confused.

Mordranna merely nodded. "Just say the word, friend." Still, she did wonder about her mysterious new benefactor. "Friend of the Republic?"

"Rebel infiltrator, that should suffice. I've had decades of experience at infiltrating bunkers ten times more defended than this." A beeping sound came from the comlink across Rook's wrist.
"My escape has arrived, deary," Rook said, as he came to a vertical shaft. "Lock on to my position, and prepare for defense." He said through the com.
"Jedi, you see this vent ahead of us, how it goes up and down? We're going through. The heat will be quite nasty, when this goes off, but you must not fall down or go up. Go through this hole, and then press that button. We're taking the express ride up out of these catacombs."

"That works for me," Mordranna said. And then, a glowpanel went off in her head. "Ah! We're going to ride the blast out!" she exclaimed as she studied the vent.
Granted, the plan seemed rather risky. But then, even that was preferable to hanging around waiting for Drako's goons.

"Partially, but not the explosion," He said, fitting a small piece of detonation tape to the panel. He turned on his thermal shield, and did the same to mordranna.
"Don't forget to smile at the bug droids," Rook said, "We're taking the steam exhaust out."
Just then, he detonated the tape, blowing out a square large enough for either of them. Steam bealched out of the tube, and into the vents. Rook spent no time to jump in, pulling out his pistol, and firing the grappling hook upwards. The line caught, as he cranked himself up.
Passing the hole, he motioned for Mordranna to crawl through.

The Lost Ranger emerged from hyperspace to find the sight of the Errant Venture and two herdships orbiting Ithor.
"Figures. Criminals attract more criminals. He probably needs toys only Booster can get him."
Solms maneuvered the Lost Ranger into a docking lane and waited for docking clearance. His prey was close. And this time, there would be no escape.

"Don't have to tell me twice," Mordranna said, crawling into the hole after Rook.
For sure, there was lots of steam. In fact, it was rather sweltering in there! Still, better to be getting away from certain death in oppresive heat, as opposed to waiting to die in relatively comfortable conditions.

"Trust me, I'm too old for you anyways," Rook kidded, pressing a button on the backpack. "Hold tight," he said.

The little remote flashed a very small red light. Programmed for a reconnasaince mission, it decided to check out the flashing red lights in the wall....

Bombs go boom. We know that. But the force from such a cluster could be heard and felt throughout the entire foundry. As the pair dangled, and the fibercord reeled itself up. The device was meant for one person, but Rook made it as easy on the cord as possible, bouncing between the walls.
"If I hadn't opened the steam vent," He began shouting, "the explosion would have probably burnt us to a crisp. The pressure bleeding off of the vents will push the explosion back, as well as make it a lot cooler down here. Oh, what light yonder breaks!"
The pair had made it, a grate was all that barred entrance. Not too difficult to remove. Rook pushed the vent gate up, and boosted the lady out of the vent, before placating himself upon the surface.
"Now my part is done. I believe its your turn to find us a shuttle?"

(( I've been waiting for the right moment to have Mordranna say this line! *-* heart ))
Mordranna clung with all her might to Rook, chuckling at his comment. "Zing! Whoosh! Nin nin nin!" she exclaimed cheerily. Afterwards, she lightly giggled and blushed. "From an old holo-comedy," she sheepishly admitted.
After they reached the surface, she looked around. "Now, to get off this rock,"
(( Are there any shuttles and the like we can see? ))

"I'm not risking the Saboteur to have them send something for us. I'm sure there's gotta be something usable nearby. I wouldnt' go near the primary hangars, though. While we may be outside the foundry, in the waste area, we aren't exactly safe from Drako's wrath yet. If it was just me getting off, like the original perameters were, I'd just steal a fighter. But you complicated things. I suggest we head south of here, to the secondary hangars. I got the blueprints while freeing your force-using self. There should be a shuttle or something there."

At the rendezvous point, Trey and Angel looked over the devastation of Yavin 4. He remained silent as he returned back to the ship and lifted off the beautiful green jewel, smoking silently in ruin.
His last words were "I'm sorry."
Rook's ship jumped silently to hyperspace.
