Too wrapped up in staring at Wingulls, Nitro was unable to cover his mouth from a flaming sneeze. The embers spewed forth, engulfing Mike's pants. He let out a groan and looked at Kasiya. "I'm ignoring that untill I smell skin burning." He glared at his Pokemon, who in turn looked away innocentlty. "Right, I'm sure SHIVER caught my pants on fire, again!"
"Anyway, where were we, ah yes. No worries Kassie, no need to apologize! You could have kept it from me forever and I still would have understood, it's your buisness after all."
"Don't worry Surge, I'll protect your daughter, with my life if nessicary!" Oddly happy for somoene who basically just signed their life away, Mike smiled as he shook The Gym Leader's hand. "You have my word."

"Good to know someone's watching out for her when I can't," Surge said, shaking Mike's hand vigorously. "A fine young man, you are," he added.
Kasiya stared at the ground to hide her pink cheeks, as she watched Shiver hop over to Mike, quickly douse his smoldering pants, and hop back into the ocean. "Thanks again," she said softly, looking up at her friend.
Shocker and Raichu were still glaring at each other, Titanium pressing the tip of the Pikachu's tail into the sand with his, gently, yet firmly enough to keep the Electric Mouse from attacking.

Nina couldn't help but to laugh while Chuck stared in amazement and anger. "To make things even worse today," he muttered. "All right, Poliwrath, try a Blizzard attack!" It nodded, and looked to Anna menacingly.
It began opening its mouth.
Nina knew that the confusion hadn't affected the Poliwrath during this attack.
Poliwrath inhaled deeply, and then exhaled a ridiculously large amount of ice and snow at Anna, who couldn't escape it due to its wide attack radius. Anna fainted and Nina recalled her, while Chuck bore a grin.
"All right," Nina said, "get ready for this." She threw her Pokeball...

"Again? What did I do the second time? Ah no matter, as long as you enjoy the flower." He smiled once again, his gaze shifting from his friend to Surge. "Why thank you tank, er, Mr. Kasiya''s dad whom I love alot."

"You're such a sweetie," she giggled, then turned to face her father. "About that badge of yours," she said, folding her arms. "I would like to take this opportunity to challenge you to an official gym battle," she said, very official-like. "Right here and now!"
Surge chuckled. "You were practically raised in that gym, so you should know that the match has to take place within the property of the Vermilion Gym. It won't count if we battle here. Sweet Jeebus, girl, I teach you all I know and you still know nuthin'!"
Kasiya smirked. "That doesn't say much for you now, does it?" she laughed.
"You're just as gutsy as your mother, you know that right?" he laughed and pulled her into a big bear hug. "We'll fly back to the gym, and I'll hand you your lickin's there, alright?"
"You bet," she nodded, turning to Mike. "Looks like I'm heading back sooner than I thought," she said, almost sadly, but then brightened up. "You wanna come and watch the match? We can fly you back when it's over. It'll only take a few hours in all." She ran over and put her shoes back on, and gathered her stuff. "And if that's not enough to convince ya," she grinned, "dinner's on me!"

Mike looked at Kasiya's wonderfully hopeful gaze and then looked at the Pokemon Center. "But, what about Mitsu? I don't want to leave her alone, I'll feel like a meanie! " He thought about this, any way you could fly me and Mitsu to Slateport as soon as the battle is done?"
Mike recalled all of his Pokemon except Nitro. "I really want to go, but what if Mitsu thinks I've run off?" His expression changed from happy to that of guilt ridden.

...and out popped Mimien. Chuck's eyes grew huge, knowing that the match would soon be over.
"Mimien, blast it with a Confusion attack!" Mimien nodded, and Poliwrath's body began to glow. A moment later, Mimien telekinetically slammed it around the room, into the walls, onto the ceiling, and finally back on the floor. The Poliwrath was incredibly dazed from the attack, due to its weakness to Psychic-type attacks.
"Grr... we're done playing games! Poliwrath, use Dynamicpunch!" The Poliwrath summoned all of its remaining strength and its right hand rolled into a fist, and began glowing a bright red. It raised its fist...
...and slammed itself hard in the face, knocking itself out. Nina grinned as Chuck silently recalled the Poliwrath. He apporached Nina, pulling out a TM from his pocket.
"That was very well done," he commented. "I haven't gotten beaten that badly in quite a long time." He handed Nina the TM. "This is Dynamicpunch. It isn't perfectly accurate, but it is very powerful and will inflict a confuse status on its target. Note that this is from a different set of TMs from Kanto's and Hoenn's, and in either of their regions, the TM01 would be Focus Punch." Nina smiled and thanked him, and pocketed the TM as he pulled out a small badge.
"And this," he continued, "is the Storm Badge. With it, you can use the HM move Fly outside of battle at any time." Nina took it, and examined it-- It had the distinct shape of a hand curling into a fist. She pinned it on her shirt, to the right of Morty's Fog Badge, and smiled.
She and Sabrina bid their goodbyes to Chuck, and returned to the Pokemon Center, where Nina healed her Pokemon.
Nina, full of excitement, pulled out her PokeNav and dialed Kasiya's number without even needing to look it up.

Kasiya gave him a devilish smile and winked. "You ran off on me once, remember?" She tossed her bag into the chopper. "But in all honesty, you don't have to go if you don't want to." She recalled her party one by one, Shocker first since Titanium wasn't there to hold her back anymore. "You can always give Mitsu a call once we land and let her know where we are. And besides," she paused, climbing up inside, and looked over at him. "It's not like I plan on keeping you forever." She gave a slight smile, hoping her eyes didn't give her away completely.

Nurse Joy looked at him with large eyes. "It's going to be a boring night if we're just going to sit in silence the whole time, " she laughed, gulping down some more soup. The boy shrugged.
"I suppose," Kilik replied.

After many rings, Nina hung up. "That's odd," she said. "Oh well. Maybe she's busy or something." Mihoshi had been released from her Pokeball along with Anna, and Nina held her in her arms as usual.
"You know," she said to Sabrina, "I'm not really sure what I want to do now... I'd kind of like to go back to Kanto, but I'd like to stay here, too..." Sabrina grinned. "The only reason you want to stay here is because of Raimundo, and you know it."
Nina's mouth dropped a little and she grinned. "That is not true! It would be a plus, but it's not true! I'm on a winning streak right now, and I'd like to maybe collect all of the badges here. But then again..."
Nina rambled on for awhile longer, not really sure where she wanted to go or what she wanted to do.

"We're off then!" Surge laughed, and he and Raichu also boarded the chopper. Soon they were in the sky, heading back to Kanto. Kasiya could hardly contain her excitement, already going over her battle strategy in her mind. She'd witnessed her father battle one hundred times over, and he hardly changed his plan of attack. Raichu was his main party member, and very seldom he initiated more than one on one battles. Kasiya knew Ariel and Fang were out, which left Shocker, Growly, and Seto. Growly would have the advantage if he chose to use one of his Magnemite or Magneton, but Seto would have troubles with the dual Steel/Electric types. Shocker would easily be faster than Raichu, knowing Surge had evolved him early, and he hadn't mastered many of the speedy attacks learned only as a Pikachu. If we keep on him with Double Team, and Quick Attack, Shocker should be able to eke out a win, she thought, smiling to herself. This was going to be one thrilling match.

Kilik put his empty bowl on a table and leaned back on the couch. He sighed as Flareon jumped onto his stomach. Nurse Joy looked at him. "Trainers aren't this sad, Kilik," she whispered, putting her bowl on the table next to his.
"It's fine. Don't worry about it," Flareon bumped its head against his trainer as he spoke. Joy blinked.
"If you say so," the girl stood up and walked off to tend to a few other wounded Pokemon. Kilik sighed, pet the Flareon, then went back to listening to his music.

"In any event," Nina said, "we're not leaving this city for awhile-- not until the rain and the wind let up. We can't Surf back to Olivine City due to the waves, and we can't Fly anywhere because Mihoshi here hasn't evolved yet... But I know it'll happen soon!" Mihoshi chirped happily, as if to agree with Nina.

I'm probably too late, anyway... the boy thought as his music blared against his ears. Well, it wasn't really blaring. Mozart never 'blared'. The sweet sounds soothed his body, but had trouble easing his mind. With such thoughts beaming and running along the crevices of his mind, Kilik's mind was becoming plagued with tunnels and turns. He was so confused. Flareon fell asleep along with Koffing.
