Byaggha Collowrath I know sad I noticed immediately when I started season 2 that it seemed... rushed? compared to season 1. The pacing just seemed off. That actually wasn't because of the cancellation - they didn't even know it was going to be canned until after the last ep was filmed, from what I read. HBO execs tinkered with it, though, mainly in characterization and plot subtexts - that's why Justin goes from morally tortured soul wrestling with his faith to outright monster REALLY quickly. It was originally supposed to happen over a longer stretch of time, and be much more subtle, but they demanded a much clearer good vs evil line be drawn and a lot of the wacky subtext come out of the show entirely. Far as I'm concerned, they can jump in a lake. I like the way it was, and I want to see the rest of it. biggrin Yuck sad See, I'd thought it was like Stargate SG-1, where at some point mid-filming they'd decided they didn't wanna anymore and just tossed together an ending. This is almost worse! The Execs really should have just let the writers do their jobs. >.>

Collowrath The Execs really should have just let the writers do their jobs. >.> They cited monetary reasons for cancellation, which I can understand - a 30s period piece with several spanning locales is a rough one to fund to begin with. Throw in the need for functional era cars and trucks, all the wardrobe, music, props, hair...it gets ugly fast. And if it isn't dragging in top end ratings, well...it'll get shot in the head like an underperforming wounded horse. Sad but true fact of television production: Money talks, and if you aren't bringing viewers, you're a deficit.

Well, sometimes, the worst thing at the time, is the best thing in the long run. Good decade for me, in the long run, methinks.

A long time ago I was surfing around and came across a myth story that incorporated all myths as one combined world creation story. It kinda went like "here in this area these gods did this and that, and over in this part of the world these gods did this and that, while in this area..." Does anybody know what I'm talking about and where I can find it?

The downside to having a huge closet is organizing it. And having to store everything in it. I feel like I just keep finding more stuff and it's making me want to become a hermit...
to avoid cleaning.

It's the garb one ... it's time to weed out the garb I don't wear, or that can't work with dancing as well.

None of the people he wants to give him a chance are going to, and the rest of everyone else he's just going to pull the same s**t with anyways. Though the more Noora speaks to him, the more I like her.
