I'm searching the GTS for Articuno! I wanna get one that is legal in copetetive play...I wanna EV train the thing and cosider it one of the big 6 I use in my core team.

U guys prolly think im obsessed with Articuno. lol
Well, I just see them as really special...they were once powerful legendary birds that everyone was proud to own...now they have become more common. I used one in my very first Pokemon game (Yellow). I just think they look really Awesome, and they have decent power too. I really like their long tail feathers, that almost makes the Pokemon. Like I said the other day, An Articuno without a tail is like an empty Wonder Ball. Even its sound brings back memories of the days when Ice Beam actually LOOKED powerful. XD

lol I still randomly make the Articuno sound sometimes. xd I remember the days when whole teams were taken out by a single Mewtwo. Not very balanced but it was a fun time.
edit That is, when you weren't on the wrong end of a Mewtwo beating... sweatdrop

But...Ice Beam IS powerful...
Articuno still isn't...
actually, back in the original versions, I never caught them...not until I learned how to duplicate items ^_^

Yes, The days when me, my bro and friends/family would whip out Pokemon satdium, and battle each other...it would always come down to Mewtwo...We always finished our battles with a Mewtwo showdown...That's when Topher decided to teach his Mewtwo Shadowball! XD
He would shoot it like a Kamehameha, kind of like he does in the first movie. That movies is one of the reasons I like Mewtwo so much, but i don't think I'm gonna train another one. If u have ever seen Pokemon 2,000...It is really good too.
Got all 3 legendary birds and Lugia!
When I said the thing about Ice Beam looking powerful, I meant that it is powerful, but the way they animate it now, it doesn't really look so powerful anymore.
And ARTICUNO IS PRETTY POWERFUL TOO!!! > sad
U know...everytime Articuno is brought up, someon has to cut it down. crying

Well, but when you think about it, if the 3 birds were to battle it out, Zapdos has the advantage over the other two, since they're both weak to lighting. Articuno can take advantage of Zapdos' weakness to Ice, but Zapdos is faster.
All Moltres is really good for is melting Articuno...
So, in terms of element triangles, Zapdos > Articuno > Moltres

I would Shadowball my enemy's Mewtwo while they used Recover in desperation over and over and over again. XD
But before Shadowball it was always a long drawn out battle. I had a Mewtwo showdown with a friend that went for over 20 minutes. XD

The first time I seen Solar Beam in the new games, I rushed to my bro. Chris! U have to see this! XD
(Yeah, I owned Diamond, and it made him want Platinum, so he hadn't seen some of the new stuff at that point)
I remember in the old games, Hyper beam, Solar Beam, Ice beam, they all really looked the same except for color. XD

I think hyperbeam looks epic now. Just doesnt sound as powerful. In Gen5 they need to add an audio clip of "IMMA FIRIN, MAH LAZAR!"
