"Well that was a smart idea" Bryn commented and watched as the Pidgey took flight. "I'm sure your father would be proud to see he has a daughter who is quick on her feet." Bryn said with a smile.

"I don't know for sure," she said. "I've only ever hatched one egg." Shocker came over next and sat down, still a little worn down from her harsh battle yesterday. "Did whoever gave it to you say when it would hatch?"

The Pokeball shook harder and the Bulbsaur was released bursting out from the Pokeball. "Bulba? Bulbsuar." It said and used vine whip and grbbed Kirlia. "Okay Kirlia! Calm Mind then Confusion!" She said gritting her teeth from the unsuccessful capture. Kirlia who wa wrapped by the vines had a bit of a hard time, but managed hitting the Bulbasaur in the face.
Mitsu dug threw her pack for her last Pokeball. She kissed it and threw it with grace at the Bulbsaur once who was once again sucked in.

Nina smiled as she mentally ran over the long conversation she had had with Alexandra. "She said that it appeared earlier that morning, so..." Her voice trailed off and she shrugged.

The ball shook hard and it seemed to continue, never stopping, not even once. Time seemed to freeze as Mitsu awaited the result. Crossed fingers for extra luck.
After what seemed like forever the light dimmed and the ball froze.
"Yeah! I caught a Bulbsaur!" Mitsu cried and did a little dance with Kirlia. She released her Bulbsaur and held it with her two hands. "Welcome to the party Bulbasaur!" she said with a smile on her face and dashed off to find Mike.

Jenna gave Bryn a rueful smile.
"My dad would flay me alive if he knew I got lost in the woods. He's really big on camping and the outdoors and he's always told me to keep my eyes open and to watch where I was going. What do I do? I get lost. she sighed and looked up towards where Pidgey had gone. "I hope Sandy can see Viridian city from here...." At that moment, Sandy returned to Jenna's shoulder looking perplexed.
"I guess he couldnt' see anything.... Jenna said as the first feelings of fright sank their teeth into her belly.
Unbeknownst to the two travellers, they had been steadily but subtly travelling downhill for quite a while and were now in a hollow in the woods. Pidgey couldn't see the city because he didn't fly high enough to see over the edge of the hollow. Only a few more miles until Viridian City, but to the Pidgey, all there was was miles and miles of forest all around.

"This morning?" Kasiya said, her expression falling. "That means it won't hatch for some time now. My egg took three weeks..." she said, stopping herself, and hoping she wouldn't upset Nina.

"Oh, no, it came yesterday morning..." Her voice trailed off as the other part of what Kasiya had said sunk into her head.
"Th... three weeks?!"

Bryn shrugged.
"I'm sure we'll find our way, I mean we cant' be overly lost." Bryn said thinking about how Jenna could possibly be feeling and how to console her.
"My mom wasn't too happy with me and wanting to know more about pokemon or how I got into the lab with Professor Oak...She has yet to tell me why. Only thing I can come up with is it has something to do with family related issues." Bryn talked a bit more than what she had wanted to.
"Hunter run ahead and see if the end of the forest is near." Bryn asked and Hunter bolted ahead of the two girls.

"Well, different eggs take different times," she said, shrugging. "I've heard Snorlax eggs take six months to hatch!" She then looked at Nina sternly. "Wait, it's not a Snorlax, is it?"

"Mike!" She called hopping he'd answer. After tripping over a rock, and bumping into a branch she didn't want to get lost in the tall grass. "Mike!" She called again trying to hear sounds of a battle, or maybe Titanium's cry.

Smugly walking over to the struggling Steelix, Shroomish sapped some more health from him with a Mega Drain, then some more with Leech Seed. Soon his walk turned to a skip, brimming with happiness that he managed to take down three strong Pokemon, two of which were strong against him, the Pokemon turned and laughed.
Steelix, knowing it was now or never, gathered all his strength and brought his tail down on the little grass attacker. Shroomish had just enough time to look back and see a wall of steel approaching.
"Sh-shrom?"
WHAM!
Mike walked over without saying a word, recalled Shiver, Nitro and Titanium. He took out an empty ball and stared at the Shroomish, which was embedded into the ground, knocked out. He looked down upon the small Pokemon, in awe how such a small thing took out his entire team.
He let the ball fall out of his hands. It landed on the Shroomish, and caught it without any resistance, finally, three Pokemon down, he got his catch.

Nina's eyes grew big as she repeated to herself in a whisper, "Six months...?!" She quickly shook her head. "No, I don't have a Snorlax. This is a Togepi egg."

Nearly tripping over another rock Mitsu finally cought up ith Mike. "Mike!" She gasped for air. "Did you get that Shromish?" She asked missing all the action.
