...you randomly yell things like 'band geeks unite!"
...you read about how much you're a band geek instead of doing driver's ed like you're supposed to...(me, now)

x__CrimsonRegret ..when you've told so many "this one time, at band camp" stories that your friends don't recognise it form American Pie. ..when you can play every song on a trumpet, clarinet, saxaphone, tuba, baritone, and trombone, but for 5 years of trying, you've never made a single note come from a flute. And yes, I've been trying to make a note come out of a flute for 5 years, but I've never been able to *stabs* i play the flute, its easy ummm...lets see, when you dont care if your instrument gets damaged, you wanna practice, even if it IS raning!

you carry your mouthpiece and flip folder in yuor bag at all times.
and you always have dollars for mountain dew and a deck of cards with you ('tis true in my band)

you know your a band nerd when your parents dont expect you home for two hours because of practice, you would rather go to a marching contest than the movies on the weekend, or you play out the show music on your mouthpeice while walking through the halls

Eryn_Amrod You know what? Someone should go through and collect all these and make a list so people know what has been said and can just read the list. ^_^
You know your a band geek when for spirit week, your section puts on body paint and you end up with smiley face tanlines.
You've repaired your own/other people's instrumets so many times that your band director says you should do it for a living.
You make sure everyone gets to see your clever section shirt. (Saxophone section's shirt says, on the back, "I'm too saxy for this shirt")
You get mad when no one comes up with a shirt for your halftime show theme this year.
You've purchased things from bandnerd.com
When introducing yourself to new people, you make sure they know you're in the band.
When introducing you to new people, your parents make sure they know you're in the band.
You're very tempted to buy foods your directors say you should sound like (Tasty Cake, Butterfinger, WTF?!) and give it to them.
You try and teach your pet how to play your instrument.

When you wait all year for your new Dinkles to come in.
When you come back to band camp right after you graduate to tell the person who got your old uniform that if they don't respect it, you'll kill them O.o
When your band directors jokes are starting to be funny to you.
...
When you haven't seen your father in 3 months because you refuse to miss a show sad

You're a band geek when
1. You play your friend's instruments constantly.
2. You march through the halls just to be more graceful
3. You march in your backyard and yell the commands just for the hell of it.
4. You think of your friends more like instruments
5. You practice your instrument even when you don't have it.

When you discover the secret to back-marching...during GYM CLASS.
(seriously, I did that...and I'm pit!)
When you want to join winter drumline after being asked about it by a bass drummist, then asking your director who says there is no winterline this year...>.> (fools!)
When you're more at home in the band room than anywhere else in the school. 3nodding
That last one applies to a lot of us.

1. u name your friends clarinet, trumpet
2. your friend names your trumpet, french horn
3 u stick stickers on your instument case
4. your in a realashinship but all u care about is your instrument
5. u spend your time reading band jokes instead of sleeping (me right now)

RinoaHeartilly You know you're a band geek when you argue about whether or not color guard/majorettes are really part of 'The Band' I just got into that one last night at our game...XD

You know you're a band nerd when you're walking with other friends down a hallway or something and you realise you're walking in step.
Then, no matter how many times you try to stop, you get in step again, or some song comes on and you change steps to it.
