"Somewhat." Mike said, coughing up more smoke as he tried not to smile at Kasi's little giggle fit. "Go ahead, laugh at my pain!" he joked, playfully flicking her nose before turning back his attention back to Hayley. At the risk of being obnoxiously mysterious, he might as well spill at least a little of the beans. "I've recently come across a, uh, boon, thanks to a certain nosy fire bird. And it's made my life as of late a bit interesting, to say the least." You know what they say: show don't tell. Mike rolled up his sleeve and extended his hand away from the table. After a moment's concentration, he took in a breath, the scars lining his hand and arm beginning to glow a bright orange. With a quickness that honestly still surprised him, his arm quickly burst into flame. Mike poked the immolated area with his free hand to show that it didn't hurt, and after making sure that there was no one around that could get hurt, released it in a quick burst away from the girls and their Pokemon. A quick wave of dizziness accompanied the little display, reminding Mike that blood was important, and he should probably try to keep as much of it in his body as he could. This was a talent he was sorely lacking in. He looked at his now smoldering appendage with a bit of melancholy. The smoke curled ever so slightly in the summer breeze.

"Pretty neat, huh?" he said patting down his arm before rolling his sleeve back. "Still trying to figure out how it effects the rest of me. As you can see, ice cream might be off the docket." he chuckled, chancing another bite. Nope. Still painfully cold. "Oh, and sorry about the smell." he slid his ice cream over to the waste disposal unit that was his adorable girlfriend. "Go on without me!" he wailed, dramatically flopping onto the table.

"Huh, well how do you like that," Jaeshan mumbled as Mismagius dispersed Sigilyph's Hypnosis like it was nothing. He felt an unfamiliar rush of heat flush his cheeks and he clenched and unclenched his fists several times, trying to understand what was going on. It took a few moments for him to realize that this strange emotion he was experiencing was anger, though immediately after said realization, it began to diffuse and he almost started laughing. Don't be stupid, he told himself, looking up at the strange Pokemon floating above him. This guy's obviously been at this a lot longer than you! Just relax, and do your best. His thoughts did little to reassure him, almost as though somehow he knew that wasn't true.

The boy sighed, pulling himself together as he glanced between the Ghost and Psychic-types. "Let's give that Stored Power of yours a try," he said calmly. Sigilyph gave a nod, drawing his wings in close as his whole body began to glow. With a sharp cry, his wings unfurled, sending out a wide blast of golden-coloured energy. Jaeshan watched, intrigued. He'd never seen an attack that worked quite like that before.

"No," the raven haired girl stated stubbornly, lowering her head as she pulled Shiro's hand closer. "Th-they c-can't!" Riza hoped her voice sounded firmer than she felt, but it came out quite shaky. "I don't want to...they can't..." But her protests were cut off as he kissed her, and more tears found their way down her cheeks. "I don't want to go," she murmured once they'd parted, but by that point the nurse had returned and it was easy to see that she wasn't too happy about having to repeat herself.

"Fine," Riza all but snarled, slowly standing up and backing away from Crenu's hospital bed. She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, looking back at the bandaged up boy. "Just rest, okay? They'll figure it out. In the meantime just rest and let them take care of you." She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths, regaining her composure before she reluctantly walked toward the door. She paused just by the door, glowering at the nurse. "You'd better take damned good care of him," she growled, grey eyes narrowed into threatening slits. It helped that Riza was tall as she had almost a whole foot in height on the nurse. "Otherwise you'll answer to me. Are we clear?"

Once she was satisfied that her message had been conveyed, Riza slowly made her way out of the hospital, realizing at once that she had no real idea where she was. The only reason she'd made it to Celadon was because of her GPS and some directions from Crenu. She didn't even know where the pokecenter was, and though she could probably find it easy with her phone and map app and fancy GPS, she was far too upset and distracted to realize it and instead wandered aimlessly along the streets.

Again Jasper found himself nearly rolling with laughter at the sight of his opponents' confusion. Zorua's Illusion ability (and, of course, Ditto's trademark Transform) would never get old. The little fox's Extrasensory had hit, and pretty hard at that, and the bandanna-clad boy winced slightly, watching with mild concern as the little mouse slowly got to its feet. Ben was quick to call for another Thundershock, and though Zorua tried her hardest to dodge, the electricity came too fast and she gave a pained cry as the electrical energy coursed through her.

"Zorua, are you okay?" Jasper called, his worry growing a little. Zorua was, after all, fairly young. The little fox gave herself a shake and looked back to her trainer, her chest heaving slightly but she gave a bark. Jasper smirked before looking back at the younger trainer. "They're both looking pretty tired," he said, motioning between the dark and electric types. "Wanna call it quits for these two for now? It is only a practice battle, after all." Zorua, meanwhile, seeing a break in the action flopped to the ground and rolled onto her back, waving her front paws at Pichu in a playful manner. Maybe now the little mouse would want to be her friend!

It was hard not to stare at Shocker as she dove face-first into her ice cream, and Hayley couldn't stop herself from laughing. It was a little difficult to believe that this now chocolate-covered Raichu was so powerful, and the brunette smiled, finding it to be quite amazing just how diverse Pokemon personalities could be and she looked over at Mike as he started to speak. At first, he was a bit cryptic and Hayley glanced over to Kasiya, wondering if the sweet girl knew what was going on. She really wasn't sure what to expect so she watched attentively, eyes widening with surprise as the boy's arm quite literally went up in flames and instinctively she jumped to her feet - though it was more of a stumbling trip as the unnaturally unlucky girl's pant leg snagged on something and she nearly fell to the ground. Her gaze never left the burning appendage, even as the boy touched his other hand to it.

"Holy smokes," she said, pun only partially intended as she looked back at Kasiya again. Her initial fear was fading fast, quickly being replaced by her seemingly-endless curiosity and intrigue, and her brain had already assembled an entire laundry list of questions for the boy. "Neat? That's totally amazing!" Hayley squeaked, having freed her pant leg, and she was now inching around the table to get a better look at his arm, but stopped as he rolled his sleeve back down. She opened her mouth to start spewing questions but stopped herself, deciding to be tactful for once and she quickly sat back down in her seat, once again poking at her partially-melted ice cream. "So are you like, some kinda fire Pokemon then? Are you weak against water?" Okay, so she couldn't stop herself entirely; her curiosity was like a disease. She was a Pokemon Watcher (in-training) after all, and it was her job to, well, watch and learn.

Ben paused and looked up, his expression relaxing as he smiled and scratched his head a bit sheepishly. "Yeah, okay. Pichu, do you wanna go play? You did awesome, so go have some fun." Pichu beamed as he happily hopped over to the fox and rolled over its exposed belly, it's staticky fur rubbing off and making the fox's fur stand on end, Pichu pointing and giggling at the effect. Walking forward slightly, Ben smiled. "Hey, do you wanna catch some lunch? Maybe later you can battle my other Pokemon." Glancing over at the frolicking Pichu, Ben grinned. He looked really happy.

"I will." Crenu said with a bit of a smile as he lay back down, watching Riza as she gave the nurse a death glare. He actually had to chuckle a little at her scaring the piss out of the woman, there was a reason he'd fallen so much for her. The nurse gave Crenu a look that blamed him for what had just happened and left, leaving him alone again. He sighed, looking at his arm, he still didn't like it. And he knew Riza didn't like t either. But at least she wasn't scared off by it. Of course, she might have been if she knew the rest of the stuff that went on in his mind. As Crenu got ready to rest though, his doctor made his return, much alter than the 'soon' he had told Riza. Then again, with the both of them having dozed off, maybe he had come back and left. Of course Crenu didn't know any of this, or even who this man was, seeing as he'd been out until just recently. He said nothing as the man strode into his room, and checked the chart at the foot of his bed before talking.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Wayne. You weren't concious when you came in so you wouldn't remember, but I'm you doctor. So, how are you feeling? Any residual light headedness, pains, aches, etc.?" He spoke clearly and sternly, clearly he was not a man who messed around. Direct and to the point, a veteran doctor, he didn't have any time or patience for nonesense.

Crenu eyed the doctor for a few moments, sizing him up. He actualyl appretiated his directness, Crenu wasn't one for beating aroudn the bush himself. "No. A little sore, my wounds hurt a bit but they always do, still being open and such. Obviously you noticed the tally marks, no doubt they are more interesting than the rest of my wounds as they're obviously purposefully inflicted. I did it to myself, I'm not suicidal or anything, I'm not abused, I'm not disturbed. The lacerations on my hands that were stitched up were from cuts I recieved from smashing a mirror, my friend stitched me up. I'm sure during your treatment of me you replaced them with propper stitches. The burns are also self inflicted. I got a bite from an Ekans a short while back, I tore it from my arm and it left a rather nasty large gash. I heated up a metal bar and sealed it shut, which accounts for the burn on my arm and on my palm. The wound on my head is from a rock, while training I got hit by a stray attack and got cut pretty bad. None of that matters though. Each of my current wounds are unrelated, I count both burns as one, and each happened on different days, several days apart actually. Weeks in some cases. But they all look rather fresh, again as I'm sure you noticed. That's the real problem. I'm not healing. Don't know why. My head wound being the oldest was on it's way to healing, but it stopped. I sealed the arm wound shut with the metal bar for that very reason. I had my friend stitch up my hand for the same reason. The arm cuts are shallow so I didn't worry about them, but they proved to bleed more than I thought they would regaurdless of that fact, so days of slowly bleeding wounds brought me here. I gave it to you straight doctor, so I expect the same. Don't bullshit me. What's wrong, what have your perliminary tests picked up?"

Dr. Wayne had stood there the entire time Crenu was talking, he didn't say anything and just nodded every now and then. When Crenu wounded like he was finally finished, he took a moment, staepping forward, placing the chart down. "Well, that was a very detaield account of your injuries, and at the same time, you revealed nothing at all. Based on the pattern and concentration of the cuts on your hand, I have to guess that you punched the mirror and broke it, it wasn't accidental. The Self cutting is self cutting, suicide wasn't my guess as they were shallow and not near anything major. The head wound seems normal enough, and a bad bite would be a reasonable explination but using red hot metal, and not protecting your hand while you did it, is not reasonable in the least. Anger, deperation, obsession and a need to call attention to yourself even if secretly, no. I'd say that there are other thigns just as important as your lack of healing. While that is in fact a pressing matter, your mental health also concearns me and is something I have to investigate. Perliminary tests yielded nothing. However, the fact that your hand wounds were stitched, and that the stitching looked older than the wounds concearned me. A closer inspection of your head wound and it's surrounding tissue let me know it wasn't brand new either, and the same for your other injuries. I had a suspicion that tsome of the wounds were from seperate dates, so I had more tests run while you were still sleeping. I don't have the results back yet, but I will soon. In the mean time, why don't you tell me about the incidents that gave you those wounds?" As the doctor stood there, he could see that Crenu was not in the sharing mood. After several minuets of silence, he sighed. "So eager to tell me things before. I can't treat you if I don't know the facts. I need to know more. Those self inflicted cuts concern me Mr. Crenu. I'd have to guess neuroligical condition, possibly some form of psychosis. I'm gonna have to put you on watch, convince me otherwise."

Crenu couldn't say anything. Not because he was stubborn and didn't want to talk, but because the doctor was right. he couldn't deny himself, what with the things he'd been seeing, the torture his mind was putting him through. The incredible rage that broke the mirror, the undying burning need to cut his losses into himself, he had a hard enough time telling himself he wasn't losing it. How was some doctor gonna think differently? If Crenu said a word of the truth, he'd be commited for sure. "...Nothing ring with me doc. Nothing that's your concern. Just find out why I don't heal, and get me out of here. that's it. You already said you don't think I'm suicidal, you can't hold me. So go do your job."

Dr. Wayne just sighed and shook his head. "I can make you well enough to leave, but I can't cure stupidity. If you don't want to cooperate, you'll end up here again or in some other hospital. Or worse." With that he was out the door, he couldn't waste his time any more here. He was going to have to go by the tests and try to get the patient to be more cooperative. But for now he had work to do. After checking on a few other patients he received a page from the lab, and Wayne had his results. Goign over them was mind wracking, he demanded that they be run again, even though he was assured they were accurate. He wasn't at all pleased, and making his way back to Crenu's room he tried to make sense of it. He looked serious as always as he walked into Crenu's room, seeing the blond boy in the same position he'd left him in. Still the blond stared at him blankly, not giving him anything. "...Got your results back."

"I see. So what's the damage? How long do I have doc." Crenu tried to be calm about it, but his muscles were tight. He gripped the sheet, his fist clenched tightly. He had to expect the worst.

"Your bloodwork is normal. Your cell count is normal. All your levels are withing the parameters of an average kid your age. Leukimia is the usual suspect, but you tested negative for that and the other suspects. Aside from the low blood levels you came in with, which are almost back to normal now, there's nothing wring with you."

Crenu stared at the doctor for a moment, he couldn't accept that. "Are you an ideot? Did you not hear me? I'm not healing. I'm see-...I'm not healing ok? That's not normal. That's not healthy. Somethign is obviously wrong with me, your tests are wrong. You're wrong."

"I'm having them run again to be sure, but I don't think they are wrong. You're perfectly healthy on the inside, according to all this. I've got nothing, except this. As I said, I suspect mental illness. Your self mutilation alone is enough reason to conclude that much. The self treatment shows me fear. I think you already know this. In my opinion, psychosymatic."

"It's what?" Crenu knew what it meant, but he wanted to be sure he heard the doctor correctly. Was he accusing him of of what he thought he was?

"It's all in your head. Some more tests will eliminate other possibilities, but those are so rare I highly doubt you have a condition that isn't mental. Look, the mind is powerful. Very powerful. It controls everything you do, and it can control what your body does to itself. I've seen it before, I've read articles and studies as well. Whole groups of people catching sickness like a plague simply because they believe it hard enough, hysteria can be a killer."

"You're wrong. I'm not making this up...this isn't me. This isn't my doing. THIS ISN'T MY FAULT!" Crenu had jumped up, pulling the IV and the equipment he wat attatched to as he pulled away from the bed. He ripped the needle from his arm and tore off the sensors as he approached the doctor, feeling his blood start to boil as things started going red. "YOU'RE LYING! YOU DON'T WANT TO DO YOUR JOB, DON'T BLAME THIS ON ME!"

"Mr. Crenu, get back in your bed. Just calm down. Please calm down, and accept the facts. It's just a theory, but it's the most likely one. You're clearly angry and unstable, you need help. You're attackign yourself, your mind is listening to your subconcious and it's keeping your body from doing what it's supporse to do, it's not unherd of. Let me help you." Dr. Wayne tried to take cahrge of the situation, tried to calm Crenu down. Byt the angry blond just kept advancing and advancing on him as he backed away. "Nurse! NURSE! GET THE PSYCH WARD!" He called out as he pulled out a syringe full of a clear liquid. He lunged at Crenu, expertly aiming the needle at Crenu's neck to inject the sedative.

As soon as the doctor called out for help, Crenu lost it. Seeing the needle only made it worse. As the doctor tried to take him down, he did the same and tackled the older man to the ground. He didn't even know what had happened, everything went red, all he saw was rage. The next thign he knew, he was sitting ontop of the doctor, he could hardly recognize the man with all the blood coverign his face pouring from his mouth and nose. His knuckles hurt like hell, but they too were covered in blood, obviously not his own. The needle was buried in his neck, and he quickly plucked it out, staring at the half empy syringe, he'd managed to avoid taking to full dose but tht wasn't important right now. Everything seemed like it was moving in slow motion. The Doctor laying there motionless, his hands tremblin. His chest rising and falling as he breathed heavily, his head turned to look at the hall. one nurse was screaming, face in her hands as she turned away frm the scene. Another on the phone, calling someone with urgency as she stared at the room with horror and fer. Visible from where he was he could see two rather large men in white scrubs charging down the hall, ushering nurses and orderlies out of the way as they ran with purpose towards his room. Each heart beat echoed out like a pulsing base drum right in his hear, each pump felt like his heart was gonna burst out of his chest. Each breath that filled his lungs felt like an eternity, and slowly everything started to speed up as the reality of the situation hit. But he couldn't stop to think, they were coming for him.

Crenu's eyes darted to the window, how high up was he? His eyes then shot to his bag in the corner of the room on a small couch for visiters, they were close by. His eyes went to the hall where the men from the psych ward were getting closer, then to the still motionless bloody mess that was Dr. Wayne. This was it, he had to act. Crenu darted for his bag, scooping it in his free hand and slinging the strap on in one motion, jumping to the window. He looked out and saw the street close by, he was only on the second floor. He didn't stop to think, he slid the window open, it was summer so luckily it wasn't locked, everyone loved fresh air right? The pesky screen was in the way but that wasn't s**t right now. But it was too late, men had burst into the room, one goign to the doctor and the other coming at Crenu like an enraged Tauros. Crenu acted immidiately, throwing the syringe at the man which he had to dodge. It didn't hit him, and even if it did it wasn't like the plunger was goign to magically push in, but it bought him the precious second he needed to jump. The screen popped out as he threw his weight into it, and Crenu fell like a stone. From the second floor, he should be able to survive, that was as far as he got. Not the best plan, but he didn't have time to form a good one. But Crenu never acted on impulse, he always had a plan. His quick view out the window to determine the floor he was on also scanned the street below, and as he fell he aimed himself as best he could. He was no acrobat, and his landing wasn't clsoe to graceful, but he hit his target. A parked ambulance was below, and Crenu's back collided with the metalic surface of the top, which hurt like hell. But he didn't have time to lick his wounds, the adrenalin was at full flow and so was he. He rolled off the roof of the ambulance down it's front, scaring the hell out of the EMT sitting in the drivers seet drinking coffee. His bare feet his the asphalt and he was gone. He could already hear sirens in the background and getting closer as he made his get away, diving into a bush and continnuing out, ignoring the branches that clawed at him as he emerged on the other side and ran into a near by alley. No doubts that the police would be swarming the city soon to look for the man who had just assaulted a doctor. They probably thought him an escaped lunatic. They were probably right too, all thigns considering, they were definitely right. On top of that, he had taken half a sedative, surely it wouldn't be long before it did it's job. But only one thing was on his mind right now. "Gotta find Riza...." He didn't know where she might have gone by now, but he hoped she had her phone at hand as he fished his from his bag and dialed her immediately.

Ken smirked as he watched Jae's reaction, the young man trying to keep himself in check. It was very cute, and he kind of wanted to see him get a little angry. Not because he wanted him to be upset, but because a flare of emotion was sometimes good for the heat of the battle. Friendly rivalry anger, very different from the icky kind. But that didn't seem like it was gonna happen, no no, Jae kept his cool. Ken chuckled lightly, a seasoned trainer is always gonna be just that. Mismagius stood by, or floated rather, ready and waiting to see what would happen next. Ready to counter, to move, ready to continue to train, she was happy to be helping out this strange pokemon. However, she and Ken didn't expect what happened next. "Stored Power?" He'd never heard of that move before. Of course, he'd never seen this pokemon before either. Regaurdless, he watched as the golden blast fired outwards and quickly washed over the equally surprised Mismagius. Even though the Sigilyph wasn't as high a level as she was, the attack had an impressive punch behind it. The golden wave blasted her back, and she had to steady herless to avoid crashing into her trainer. "...Ooo that's a neat trick. How fun! Confuse Ray, let's see what else they're hiding!" Mismagius smiled and cried eagerly, eyes glowing as she fired another ball of light, this one faster than the last.

Along with having no clue as to where she was going, Riza also didn't know how long she'd been wandering, or even how to get back to the hospital again if she needed to. Thinking of that place sent a surge of panic through her as she realized she hadn't left them a number to contact her at and she frantically looked around, unable to recall which way she'd come from.

Very suddenly she turned to the right, not realizing that she'd stepped out onto the busy street. Had the driver in the car just in front of her not had good reflexes he would have hit her for sure, and it wasn't until she felt a rush of air blast by her that she'd even realized what she'd done. She managed to get back to the safety of the sidewalk without further incident, but now some of the people that had been out and about were staring at her. It didn't help that her clothes were still splotched with blood and she sighed, closing her eyes as she tried to pull herself together.

She wasn't sure how long she searched, but Riza still couldn't locate the pokecenter but it wasn't for the lack of trying. Eventually Riza stopped, unaware of the fact that she was right in front of Celadon's famous department store as she sat down by the fountain, staring into the water and the glimmer of coins that people had thrown in to make wishes. Normally she would have regarded the practice as stupid and a waste of money, but she found herself digging through her pockets until she found some loose change, holding the single coin firmly clenched in her hand. 'I wish everything would go back to normal,' she thought, closing her eyes as though it would add more power to her wish. A few more tears slid down her cheeks as she tossed the coin into the fountain with a kerplunk. She didn't feel any different, at least not right away, but it wasn't long before she began to have an overwhelming sense of dread, right in the pit of her stomach. It was so strong, all she could do was sit there, arms hugging her waist as she tried to keep herself from being sick.

Once again, Erika chimed in with some sagely advice. "You know what? Z'hat is probably for z'he best." No sense in ticking off the poor little Cherubi any more than it already was. "Desolé." Letting out a sigh, Sasha raised Omelette's Pokeball and recalled her...him, before the little upstart could find another way to confuse the hell out of her. "I'll deal wi's you later." she groaned, walking up to the gym leader. "Again, my apologies, fleur." The pink-haired girl planted a friendly kiss on both of her cheeks. "I s'hink I shall retire for z'he afternoon. I have many s'ings to do. Merci for z'he tea and z'he battle and your always lovely company. I will ring you soon." With one last farewell kiss, Sasha left the gym, rolling her eyes at the old man who was still waiting outside, who had apparently enjoyed the girl's method of pleasantries, flashing her a crooked thumbs up.

Sasha adjusted her beret as the wind tried to snatch it, muttering a soft but playful threat to it. Not taking kindly to the girl's sass, it picked up again, this time successful in procuring the girl's hat. "Non!" Sasha wailed, chasing after it, her heels clicking against the pavement. Now the curses weren't so soft, or so playful. Pink hair blowing every which way, Sasha flailed her arms in futility, the beret dancing just out of reach before one last gust blasted it like a cannon ball over towards the center of town.

Crenu looked at his phone, still no answer. Riza must have been occupied. He couldn't call again though, he couldn't use the phone at all. Crenu turned and threw the phone with all his strength, it was useless now. Having regained his senses a bit, he was focused on evasion. The hospital knew who he was, no doubt his phone would be tracked by the authorities. Maybe he was paranoid. Maybe not. He couldn't take chances. His hospital gown was ashes as the trashcan he placed it in was burning fiercely, and as he walked away from it he buttoned up the last button on his shirt, pleased that he'd picked out a few spare outfits. But this wasn't the time to be casual, he was on the run. A cruiser drove by, its flashing lights lighting the alley way as he hid behind a dumpster. Escape was unlikely. He knew what he had done, they were looking and wouldn't stop. He could try and fly away on Pet Shop, that was the most logical choice. But...he couldn't. Not until he found Riza. Right now that was all that mattered. His logic and self preservation had gone out the window, to an extent. When the cruiser passed he made a break for it. From one alley to the next, he picked his moments and ran. He gold Riza to go to the center, so that was most likely where she was. He'd have to go there, but it wqsnt exactly close to the hospital. Crenu snuck around slowly, cursing as he ran out of building to hide between. He could hear more sirens, the manhunt was growing. The center, he'd have to cross the rather open square that was in front of the department store. There was nothing there but a fountain, he'd be out in the open. But...to get to her he had to. Crenu took a deep breath, and broke into a full sprint as he ran. He hit the ground and slid, the fountain was his only cover and he hid behind the stone, peeking over to check if the coat was clear. Much to his surprise however, sitting there on the fountain clutching herself crying. "...Riza." Crenu stood, it was unbelievable but there she was. He approached her, half convinced he was seeing things again. Riza...I'm sorry. I've done a bad thing. We don't have long." Even as he spoke, the sirens grew louder. Surely they'd be upon them soon. Crenu tossed his bag down, and threw his arms around the raven haired girl.

It took more than a few moments to calm herself but finally she was able to, and now Riza was stuck with that headachy, red and puffy eyed feeling that was always leftover from crying too much. Her hands were shaking and she desperately wanted to talk to someone and she pulled out her phone, scrolling through her contacts. Aside from her parents and brother and a few other family members, she'd only added two contacts since leaving home: Crenu and Keegan. Calling Crenu was definitely out of the question, and there was no way in hell she was going to just phone up the red head out of the blue. Were they even friends? She really didn't know. After all, she hadn't really seen him since the gala, and she winced as she remembered Crenu's apparent obsession with the red haired boy and she shut off her phone before jamming it deep into her backpack. The last thing she needed was to add any fuel to that fire by talking to Keegan.

'I need to make some friends,' she thought, the tears starting up once again. This would be so much easier if she had someone to talk to, and she thought about Kasiya, Mike and Hayley back in Pewter, that is if they were even still there. 'Why didn't I get their phone numbers?' She wrapped her arms around herself again, trying to stop the tears. In the distance, she could hear the high pitched wailing of police sirens, but figuring it was nothing that concerned her, she didn't even bother to look up. She was too miserable to care about police chases or bank robberies and the like.

She did look up as she heard a familiar voice utter her name, and for a moment she just stared, unable to believe what, no whom she was seeing. "Sh-Shiro?" she whispered, her voice shaky and a bit raspy from crying. "What do you mean? A bad thing? Shiro, what did you do?" He dropped his bag down beside hers and threw his arms around her, and Riza whimpered, wrapping her arms around him tightly. "What did you do?" she repeated, her voice barely a whisper, and she felt a chill shoot up her spine as the sirens grew louder and louder.

Crenu didn't focus on anything but her at the moment. Arms around her, hugging her tightly as she did the same. It was wonderful, it was perfect. It was all he wanted, he knew that now. But it wasn't that simple, it was too late to come to that realization. Because the sirens, the sirens cried and his guilt was strong. It was like an anchor in the pit of his stomach, there was nothing he could do now. Riza deserved better. She deserved to be happy. But as he held her, he knew he could only bring sadness. He couldn't speak, what could he say? He couldn't lie but he couldn't say the truth. However as the sirens got closer, and voices started to become audible, he knew he was just about out of time. "I...I hurt him. I beat him. I may have killed him even..." He spurted out, knowing he wasn't making any sense. "The doctor. He...he was trying to tell me I was crazy. That I was insane. So I...I...s**t. so much blood...he sedated me and they called the police. I don't have long. Riza they're coming for me. I'm...I'm sorry. But I have to go away now. For a long long time. They're gonna throw me away and let me rot." Car doors slammed, officers started to form a perimeter, weapons trained on the blond as they waited for back up to arrive. Riza probably looked like a hostage to them. "Riza, I can't run. My pokemon will be in danger...please watch after them. Please watch after yourself. And please....please just..." Tears started to stream down his heels as he held her. "Please forget about me. Move on, you deserve someone better." He could feel himself getting drowsy and weak, and even if he wasn't the file would get him anyway. "I....I love you. Just know that. I'm sorry."

"Shiro...why?" was about all Riza could whimper as Crenu continued to cling to her, her heart thundering in her chest. The sirens were so loud now, they were hurting ears and she looked up, giving a frightened gasp as she saw several police cruisers skidding to a stop around them. It didn't take long for them to become surrounded, but Riza refused to let go of the blonde boy, painfully aware of what the outcome of this situation would be. "Your P-Pokemon?" she repeated shakily. "N-no way, you need them, they need you," she said. "Especially Korra and Carmen! You can't...Don't you dare..." She was sobbing by this point, only vaguely aware of the uniformed men closing in on them. "Shiro...I love you too. And I'm not going to forget about you, don't even go there..." She held him even as he gave in to sleep, looking oddly peaceful despite the chaotic scene, and she rocked him back and forth, looking up with pleading eyes as the officers moved in. "Please, please don't hurt him," she begged. "He's been through a lot, please don't hurt him..."

Crenu tried to fight off the drugs, tried to stay awake. Riza's words got through to his mind, but she sounded so distant. Even still, she said she loved him. And that brought him peace. He continued to slip into darkness, and as he held on to her he was gone, his mind in deep slumber.

As she rocked him and the officers closed in, a white van pulled up in between the cruisers. The men in white jumped out and seemed to be discussing with the officers which one of them would take him. On the one hand he had assaulted a doctor and fled capture, destroying property in the process. He was a criminal and had to be arrested. On the other hand the doctor had diagnosed him with mental idssues and he desperately needed to be watched after and helped, a padded room in an asylum was just as justified over a prison cell. "Step away from the suspect ma'am, we're taking him in." One of the officers said as he holstered his pistol. The others aroudn them kept their gun's trained on the blond just in case, but it wasn't needed. He managed to seperate the two of them with the help of a second officer, and even though the blond was unconscious they cuffed his wrists behind his back and carried him off as another officer made sure that the girl didn't interfere. Finally it was decided that he would be taken to the asylum where his mental state would be evaluated and be kept pending his trial where the final assesement would be made. With that the doors to the white van opened wide and Crenu was thrown in the back rather roughly. The doors slammed shut and the van drove off. As cruiser after cruiser left the area it soomn became quiet again, save for one car that stayed behind, the officers taking Riza's statement, asking the normal questions wanting to find out her connection in all this and offering her a ride to wherever she needed to be once they were done. With Crenu off to be locked up soon, it seemed everything was finally over.

Being flicked in the nose did little to stifle Kasiya's giggles; if anything, it made her laugh even harder. She quieted down, still digging away at her cherry sundae as Mike decided to be a bit of a showoff, but this was no longer a surprise to the blonde. She was more interested in Hayley's reaction, as most normal people would have run away screaming when they saw a person's arm become completely engulfed in flames with no visible damage to the appendage. When the shrieking and fleeing didn't happen - in fact it was just the opposite - Kasiya grinned and shoveled more ice cream into her mouth. She'd only known Hayley for a short, short time, but already she really liked the girl. It helped that she had great taste in Pokemon, too.

Shocker, meanwhile, had hopped down from the table, far more concerned with the numerous napkins that were now sticking to her body. The Raichu growled, clearly irritated as she flailed her paws around, trying to get the mess of sticky, flimsy paper off her, but the more she struggled, the worse she made it. Sparks were now flaring from the Raichu's cheeks, and obviously it wasn't helping matters. Kasiya, having finished her own ice cream and since moved on to the small bowl she'd inherited from Mike, gave a sigh as she watched Shocker futilely try to shake the napkins from her sticky fur. "Oh, you poor baby. Ariel, how about you help your friend out?" she held back her giggles as it would likely put her on the wrong end of a Thunderbolt and she'd been through enough today as it was. With a flick of her wrist, the Vaporeon appeared, blinking in surprise at the sight of her sticky, messy friend. Shocker was far too distracted to notice what was about to happen, and she gave a loud, surprised shriek as she was blasted by Ariel's Water Gun.

The Electric-type whirled around to glare at her trainer, who laughed in reply. It had worked, though now the Raichu was soaking wet. "Hey, it could have been worse. Could have been a Hydro Pump," Kasiya shrugged, still trying not to laugh. Ariel gave a soft, apologetic cry, which was enough to stop the now wet-and-grumpy mouse from 'accidentally' hitting her trainer with a Thundershock, but she still pouted quite noticeably as she tried to shake the water from her fur. Kasiya polished off the second bowl of ice cream in record time, leaning back in her seat and patting her stomach with a contented sigh. "Oh yeah, that's just what I needed," she said happily, looking around the table at her two companions. "So Hayley," she nodded, her attention directed at the brunette, "wanna get some training in before your battle with Brock? I'm sure the practice couldn't hurt, and I'd be glad to help." The mention of training caused Shocker's ears to perk up, her annoyance with Kasiya completely forgotten.

"Okay, now that was impressive," Jaeshan said with a nod of approval, still watching Sigilyph as he hovered in the air. And that was only after two Calm Minds, he thought, watching as Mismagius had to take a moment to recover from it. Kevin wasn't going to stand around and admire it, however, quickly calling for the Ghost-type to use Confuse Ray.

This one was moving a lot faster than the last, and Jae wasn't quite sure how to counter it. "Sigilyph," he called, but the Avianoid Pokemon had already come up with a plan of its own. Sigilyph's wings began to flap and he generated a strong gust of wind, attempting to return the orb of light to sender. His Whirlwind wasn't quite strong enough, however, as the Confuse Ray pushed through, with some resistance and hit the Psychic/Flying-type. Jaeshan frowned, but there was nothing he could do now, other than hope that Sigilyph cold fight off the confusion soon.
