Jack Ridgevale Rank: Trainee Energy:350/350 Strength/Speed: 6/5 Active Machines: Roacher Moving to a secluded part of the courtyard, a few elemental books in tow, Jack decided to learn how to properly use the flame launch. It would require a bit more energy than simply using a fireball, but it suited his class better than randomly making punching movements. It would also provided him a ranged attack besides his guns, so that he wasn't stuck if they ran out of ammo. It had a bonus effect of lighting most things on fire, which meant he could easily use it in a variety of situations. Seeing the full potential of this, Jack decided to see if he could pull the move off. [1/2]
His first attempt wasn't much of a success, as he accidentally used a fireball instead. On his second attempt, he decided to concentrate harder on forcing the energy out, in order to get the results he wanted. Jack pointed his hand palm first at one of the dummies, and a sudden streak of fire was launched at it, setting alight quite quickly. A bit surprised with quite how fast he had launched it, he decided that it was even better than anticipated, and decided to check the books for the next skill. [2/2] [Learned: Flame Launch]

Like a dirty shirt, they were off! Kit morphing into her silky, jet self and darted down cobblestone streets towards the Hellgrind. Haruki was sure to follow suit. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Next up was some odd skill called coin toss, this was a really creative technique, using a coin as a mirror. If Jace's eyes were anything less than what they were there would be no way he could see a damn thing in the coin. But as it was he was feeling pretty confident. So he pulled all the coins from his pocket, sorting through them all until he found one that he felt was shiny enough to present a reflection. (1/3)
He flipped the coin into the air as hard as he could and looked intently at the coin, but despite his best efforts he couldn't see much of anything. He flipped it again and this time he could clearly see himself and whatever was just behind him but nothing else, for a moment this confused him. Then it dawn on him, one of the most basic ideas of a reflection, whichever side you focus on in the mirror is the area that will reflect. So Jace flipped it one more time and upon shifting his gaze around a bit found that he could pretty well see everything. (2/3)
Now that he could see with his little trick it was time to practice his target acquisition through the coin. He flipped it and immediately pointed at a target, He then looked down the line of sight of his finger and saw that he was on target although not aiming at anything vital. He practiced several more times until he could aim at something important everytime through the coin. (Coin Toss Learned)
"And on to the next one..." the next skill on Jaces list of reasons he regrets his choices in life was ricochet shot. This military stuff took so much more effort and had a lot loess fun times to offer than he had anticipated. But anyway... this skill seemed to draw heavily on the perfect timing skill, actually the book all but screamed the fact at Jace. (1/3)
The first thing Jace realized was that he would need to make the first one slow and the second faster, OBVIOUSLY, after all if the first was moving faster or at the same speed or slower than the first there would never be a collision. Jace couldn't help but to smile smugly at his own intelligence. But he soon realized that it wasn't that impressive of a discovery and let out a bit of a sigh, readying his pistols and applied once again the "programmed" energy that he was now becoming quite fond of. (2/3)
So Jace fired his shots, Running out of the patience he needed to be very precise, he simply ensured that there would be no possible way that the rounds wouldn't be able to leave the range, and left the quick calculations for later. When he figured for the most part in his head where the fresh bullet holes should be he shuffled over to the locations, and sure enough he found the holes almost exactly where he expected them, as an afterthought he put a finger to the newly created empty spaces and felt that they were still warm, removing any doubt that they were the rounds he had just fired. "I'm so damn good at this s**t it's almost scary." Jace knew well enough it was partially up to luck since he was being so lazy, but confidence, genuine or otherwise, was a good look, an he wore it proudly. (Ricochet Shot Learned)
Jace had been making some pretty good progress on his training, but he was on a roll and decided to continue while he had the steam. Next skill up was the dual dance. Jace knew that he had a tendency to get dizzy whenever he spun around too much so he decided it might be best to take this one nice and slow starting with just the simple dodging movements. Sure enouh, jace got dizzy several times, running into dummies and stopping to let the world stop moving around him on several occaisions. (1/3)
Once he was comfortable enough to stay on his feet with a fair amount of grace he decided to throw the glances in to see if he was steady enough to pick out targets quickly. He soon found that his head would still continue to swim for a moment, meaning he was practically stunned for a split second which wouldn't do, he practiced until every movement and every glance was nothing but clarity (2/3)
Finally Jace pulled out one of his guns and went through the entire motions, at the metal spinning targets once again. To his satisfaction, every bullet hit with a satisfying ping. (Dual Dance Learned)
Next up was rapid chain, this one seemed deceptively simple, but Jace new better, if he was going to hit anything farther than 30 yards away, this skill would take a huge amount of recoil control and finesse. (1/3)
This was a skill that could only be learned by doing so Jace simply loaded up one of his pistols and got busy with the practicing, the first couple of times a couple of the rounds missed the target he was aiming for. This was unacceptable, there should be no excuse for a gunslinger to waste lead like that. He kept going not until he could hit every time but until he couldn't miss. (2/3)
Jace new the skill was already formidable as it was but he new he would more than likely need to know how to double up in almost any real-world situation. So the training with dual wielding went about the same as the single gun. Taking a lot of practice before every round hit the dummy. On the last volley, Jace even knocked over the dummy he was firing at, there was an impressive amount of stopping power with this skill. Jace sauntered over to the dummy and placed his foot on its "chest" and brought his forearms to a rest crossed upon his knees, pistols hanging in the relaxed grip of his hands. "Stay down mate,"he quipped, making the most impressive foreign accent he could muster. Then he chuckled to himself, holstered his pistols and reset the dummy. (Rapid Chain Learned)
Finally the final skill before he reached the goal he had settled on... it was basically rapid chain with the added twist of gymnastics "I guess my days as a chearleeder are finally gonna pay off," sarcasm of course. Jace could already tell that this skill was gonna be a helluva trick to learn. (1/3)
The tricky part was obviously gonna be the whole sailing through the air part, so Jace Focused on that first. Using his wind element to help him along the way, weaning himself off of the assistance of his element slowly as he went. It took a long time this time around for him to feel comfortable. (2/3)
Now for the fun part, shooting. Jace wasn't able to even squeeze off all of his rounds the first couple of times, struggling to many more after that. Finally all of the rounds were comfortably fired but not all hit the target. And so Jace practiced for a long while more. Getting it down to a fine art and to his satisfaction. Jace may have been on a roll but he decided that he had earned at least a small break. (Bullet Shower Learned)

Chase casually listened to Red and mimicked her movements. He coasted through the fire techniques with ease, thanks to her. First he create blaze arcs by channeling his fire stream through his kicks and sweeping arm movements. Rings and arcs of fire leapt from his body to slice larger targets.
Next, Chase practiced the fire bomb technique. Again, copying Red's movements, he created a fire at the end of his arm. Then he struck out an an invisible target. If it had been close the fire would've exploded on impact, but instead it moved out in a two meter range to become a fire stream.
Then Chase threw out a powerful round kick, engulfing his leg in flames in the process. This would give his kick a fiery edge, as well as increase the power of any other kicking techniques he'd use. His technique seemed rougher than Red's sharp kicks, however.
Finally, Chase ended his training session by generation a shield of flames around himself. By focusing his energy all over his body, Chase could create a protective shield around his whole body that would deflect attacks and explosions. With a little extra practice, he also managed to move the shield out in front of himself. With these techniques mastered, Chase followed Red's orders and left to check out this 'carnival' thing that'd come to down. He could use a little fresh air anyways.

Jace had only been seated for a moment before he decided to go to the carnival for a nights distraction. He felt he had earned it. As he stood up he realized that he should stop by the armory and refill his ammo. It was never quite safe for any human to walk the streets of Nocturne. He walked out the door and set a quick pace for the armory.

After inquiring with the guards, he discovered that something called a carnival was in town. A bit confused, he decided to see what all the commotion was about, and had his Roacher follow close behind. [Exit]

Soon after Radek entered, a bright crimson bolt would slame against the ground right in front of the steps to the CAZ. A bright foash illuminated the area and when it dissipated, the jet haired demon would be seen, kneeling on a single knee with his fist touching the ground. He quickly stood up, obsidian claws pushing against the cold metal of the fort's double doors and striding in. Not much had changed since he left... a few people were gone though, no doubt to check out the carnival. He saw radek, who looked a little torn up and sooty but not too worse for wear. He strode over to him, stopping a few feet away and speaking. "So kid... you fix whatever was going down in Gettera?" He asked idly, his spaded ebony tail swinging about just above his head idly like a charmed snake.

Radek stared at the man and nodded at him before he soon got up and stumbled slightly. Ever since the fight had ended, his little adrenaline made him wobbly to stand for the time being. "There were two creatures there... a chimera and some demon beast." He responded.

Stark black eyebrows would raise in surprise. Jeez, another chimera. I swear, that town has the worst luck with chimera's. he thought to himself idly, before the vermillion gaze unclouded, and he spoke once more. "Not gonna lie, I half expected you weren't gonna make it back. Guess you ain't as weak as I thought... If you need training, I can do that. Otherwise, you're free to go. Maybe go get s**t faced. Or suck some poor human's life from his veins. Or even go to the carnival. Whatever it is you like to do in your spare time." The Diabolus replied idly with a shrug, his muscular and corded forearms folding together in front of his bare chest as he waited for Radek's reply. After he finished here, he'd probably go check out the carnival some more... He didn't get to see much of it the last trip he had taken over there, so maybe it would be more interesting this time.

Everything had gone well, no boners and everyone ******** left him here by himself. Yup yup, perfect, leave the guy eating an arm alone. Demacus started to look around the Caz watching everyone leave and would soon sit down on the ground for a few moments as he started to finish his meal and start to look after himself. Hours passed an the soul had finally started to get full control of his body once more. Dark Aura would start to cover the body and soon change into a image of humanoid man with long anburn lowering to his shoulders. Standing up on both feet, Demacus moves his jaw around alittle as the fangs started to form around his mouth. Acid lightly dripping down from his fangs the Diablous started to glance around butt naked and started to move towards the exit. The other diablous would be the main target to find, Dem had to make sure he got this body in the right state to where it would soon be useful to actually stay in.
The sound of rubbing metal and heavy boots would be heard coming from one the enterance of the CAZ as the being started to move into the building. The black armor was almost unseen with natural darkness around them but the caz had provided lighting. The dull shine off his armor was start to move as the being traversed the training grounds themselves. Demacus had wasted enough time actually trying to get someone to train him and now he would have to take the task into his own claws. His mission was a simple one and he would not become distracted by the idiots that roamed this plane. Slowly moving his right hand to the greatsword on his back, the diablous started to draw the blade off and stabbed it into the ground. A dark glow would move through out the blade until it the ground and the edge of the blade ignited a small flame around the blade itself. Slowly sitting down infront of the blade and bowed his head. For now it was time to take a moment and pray to Nocturnal for guidance.
