Raine was starting to get a little scary. "Umm, Miss Raine. I think you should calm down a little." He said, hoping that noone would bring up the fact that he and Darren were time travellers. He didn't want to be Raines next research subject.

"Zelos your going to get it later," muttered Raine as she took her spot by the wall again.

Oro hopped back out of Schwarz shirt and back onto the table, "Well now, where should I begin... I guess the simplest one would be what we are. We are spirits of the world of the dead, our job is to bring dead souls to our world, where they themselves turn into spirits themselves. One thing that I should tell you is that me and Schwarz are not like normal spirits for the fact that we can cross over into the world of the living, this is due to us coming from originally one soul."

"We were telling Oscuro last night how to sense dead souls."

"Yes we were. Anyway some of you already met our old masters beforehand, and our laws state that you can't have mor then one pair of spirits at a time in the world. Marv and Rox have a personal vendetta against anything that isn't a spirit, so in other words, total annihilation of the world. To gain control of the world they must defeat us two times out of three."

"Officially we won one in heimdale and then they slaughtered us in the mountains. So we are standing at one a piece."

"Slaughter would be the best word for it, Rox stabbed me through the chest, almost killing me. Luckily our bodies are nothing more than a capsule in this world, so the damage was to the body and nothing more. If I didn't turn into this form, my energy would have tried to repair the body and killed me, so in other words I'm like this to recover my strength, not that I actually like it... It's actually embaressing to be seen like this." All through out Oro's little speech he left out one major fact that he told Chiaro and Oscuro the night before, about there was more then one world of the living.

"Aww come on Oro you look pretty darn-"

"If the next word you say is cute, I'll bite your hand off." Schwarz went silent, "anyway do you have any questions?"

Azriel and Sheena silently expressed surprise at Oro's story with wide eyes. They were never aware until now that entry into the afterlife had a sort of system around it.

"...So this is what you guys were keeping under wraps from me?" Azriel asked her otherselves out loud after a few seconds had passed.

"Indeed. And we were told not to speak of this...at least until they felt comfortable sharing it. I hope you understand."

"We know that if we told you beforehand, you'd panic and tell the rest."

"Hmm. Yes, yes, I understand..." she mumbled.

"I only have the same question as Grimm. Why only now do you choose to tell us? It is our world that's at stake, after all! We'll do everything in our power to defend it!

...Wait a minute...why is Oscuro interested in sensing dead souls?"

Azriel paled and sweatdropped. "Y-yeah, why were you?" She fell silent for a few seconds, nodding attentively as she listened to Oscuro's explanation. "...Oh. W-Well, you see, Sheena, you're aware that Oscuro has a sort of never-ending mission to seek out the truly wicked souls and devour them, right?"

"Yes..." She shifted a little uncomfortably, remembering the conversation they had outside the gates of Meltokio a couple of nights back. Even after all Oscuro explained, she still didn't want to believe that there was no such person who wouldn't turn to the light...

"She was created only with the ability to read the souls of the living. If she determines one is fit for her consumption, well...getting to that soul technically means murder, even though the victim does deserve it..." Sheena cringed. "Y-yeah, she was realizing that fact would make some uneasy, including you...so she was seeking a way to detect these evil souls without resorting to her usual methods."

"Hmm..." Sheena groaned, bowing her head and curling her hands into fists upon her lap. She wasn't angry, just visibly uneasy. It was fine and all that Oscuro was trying not to kill people, but still...because she stuck to her beliefs, she still didn't like Oscuro's motives.

Azriel cleared her throat. "Erm...well. Oscuro says the method that Schwarz taught her will suffice, really. Especially since it's one that helps her find so many at once."

Sheena's expression became distressed, disturbed that Azriel, sweet as she was, was still advocating this. She looked up toward Rhone sadly. "Wh-why do you say such things? Everyone deserves a chance...everyone has it in them to change...everyone...has the right to live..." she argued weakly, her voice trailing off. There she was...using his words again...

Azriel patted her on the back. "Sheena, dear...they say you're missing a point. What Oscuro does is pinpoint the truly unchangeable."

"Hmph. She accuses me of trying to speak for them...but can she really, truly speak for them?"

"It is not she who does the speaking for them...it's the very 'scent' of their soul that speaks for themselves."

It was with those words that Sheena finally began to understand a little...but it still bothered her. Fully grasping this was going to be a long process... "That is...something to think about..." She looked down again, contemplative, leaning forward in her seat to rest her chin upon her knuckles.

Still staring off in front of her, Sheena's brow furrowed in anger at the thought. She certainly wouldn't feel very forgiving of that person. But another thought at the back of her mind surfaced. She looked at Rhone with a neutral expression. "You have a point... Such a person may have done the deed, but...even after it all...what if there were the off chance that they were doing it held against their will, feeling like they had no choice? Without meaning it at all? Feeling truly remorseful for what they had done?" Another of her old friends had come to mind---Kratos. All the Chosen he had probably led to the fate Colette nearly had...for as long as he lived, perhaps a few millennia...

"...You're right, Sheena, there is that off chance...but what we're trying to get you to understand is that such people, the kind Rhone speaks of, really do exist. You...really haven't encountered any such people?"

Sheena bowed her head and dug deep into her thoughts again, which kept returning to the Journey of Regeneration---when suddenly, it hit her. The people who manufacture Exspheres, knowing full well they were using human lives to create them, without a care for the lives they were affecting. Her eyes widened at that realization, but she remained silent, mulling over that thought.

Within Azriel's mindspace, Oscuro cringed at what Rhone said---particularly at the part about a good person being possessed by evil. She too couldn't read past such masks...in fact, there was a largely tragic event that was perhaps a couple of millennia back where she was faced with such a situation, in a different incarnation. It was the event that set her bad reputation in stone, one she often cursed herself for not being able to do any better...

Oscuro held her head and shuddered as that memory returned to her. Chiaro patted her shoulder comfortingly, frowning with concern. She remembered too.

"Get ahold of yourself, Oscuro..."

"...Huh? Oscuro? Something wrong?" Azriel asked, sensing her distress.

Oscuro shook her head. "It's...nothing."

Rhone chuckled a little after Schwarz's explanation.
I can...sort of....turn into an animal myself. It's just a little different...
