LadyHealingHands Generally, you bring a question to your Common Room and your prefect and housemates will answer you, or, as you did, to the Great Hall, where anyone may answer. The first post of Our Welcome! Read Me First thread has an orientation for newcomers, and links to places of information. We also have an Index Sticky which may be helpful to you. There's no real set order, except to visit the Sorting Hat and to introduce yourself to your Common Room. We're a diverse bunch, with diverse interests, so whether you like quizzes, roleplay, serious debate, etc, you'll find some of like mind (can you tell I'm a Ravenclaw) to connect with. Did you have a specific question you wanted answered? I was just curious if anyone can make banners for the guild or not. I just got Photoshop so I wanted to try out my skillz. XD

You can go to the BANNERS thread and submit as many as you want! Personally, the more banners the better, I love them! 3nodding

Evasive Moon [Personally, the more banners the better, I love them! 3nodding I feel the same way! Go for it, Stylish Nihilist! If you PM me the banners, I can use the Guild's photobucket for hosting, and also help you with the coding if you need help. And Kita, to minimize chaos, 6th years and up may apparate at Haven, after they have passed a licensing examination by the Ministry of Magic.

I'm good with HTML but haven't really ever used BBCode before.
So precisely how should I PM you the banners?
EDIT: Actually, I figured it out myself. Thanks for offering, though! biggrin

Congrats Slytherin!
On an lighter, HP Movie note - my brother picked up the HP Wal-mart special edition for me today!

It comes with three bookmarks! On the top left (representing the prophecy ball) reads
S. P. T. to A. P. W. B. D. Dark Lord and (?) Harry Potter The broom has some sort of runic symbols on them, and the crest is Gryffindor. I wish it was Ravenclaw, but - what can you do? xd

Did you look at the special features on the DVD yet? "Trailing Tonks" is so cool; the actress who plays her seems like a very fun person. smile And she can sing!

@ Orna - I totally have that. I use the broomstick as a letter opener! @ Minerva - I was so impressed by her singing. It's not nearly as easy as it looks.

*harrumph* It doesn't have any special features! stressed
I guess I'll give my bro the DVD, keep the bookmarks, and buy the special edition eventually. I love special features - that's one of the things that I look for!

That sounds cool. I have the special edition dvd.
Orna would you check my post in the mod forum to see if it makes sense? I am so tired that I am not sure if it makes sense or not.

I wish I had the special edition DVD.. I'm going to have to get it, I'm pretty sure that all the other copies I have are special editions. I LOVE special features, especially behind the scenes or 'making of' vignettes.

I'm not sure if you all have seen this, but I just stumbled upon it myself! Here is a link to Amazon.com's Harry Potter store where they discuss (and review) the various stories in J.K.'s Beedle the Bard book that they purchased at the auction! It's so interesting - I'd wondered what the stories where like in the book!
