You know your a band nerd when...
1. You make up a club to rival all the guy brass players who are
"the Marching Pacos".... Our Club is called... "The Marching Tacos" And its all girls, and one gay guy.
2. You enjoy re-stringing the marimba's and like the smell of the cleaning supplies on "De-band camp day"
3. Even when you dont have a four mallet part, you find some reason to practice with 4 mallets.
4. You named the Timpani.
5. You realized that "Timpani"is plural.
6. You realize that Pit class is just another reason for Sex-Ed.
7. You go back to your middle/high school to help out your old band directors.
8. You have a favorite band director... But then you hate him when things get stress full.
9. You have section shorts and a t-shirt you wash once a week but have to wear 3 times a week.
10. After band camp, you had the worse t-shirt/tank top tan EVER! And when you went to the Carwash for 1 day you got a horrible flip-flop tan.

your source of amusement during drumline practice involves hitting the bass drum hard enough to set off various car alarms

You know you're a band geek when, on multiple occasions, you've talked to your non-band friends about band and they understand what you're saying.

You know what? Someone should go through and collect all these and make a list so people know what has been said and can just read the list. ^_^
Anyway, you know you're a band geek when you are convinced that playing your instument can cure headaches/stomachaches/feeling bad in general. Really, it does. ^_^

You know your a band geek when:
1) You start to figure out what time signature the songs you listen to on the radio are.
2) You attempt to be friends with cheerleaders just to realize they could hold your reed, mouth peice, bow or stick. (Marching Band Geeks will know that is true)
3) You start thinking of all the fun things you did at band camp and with the band, countless years after the fact of you graduating.
4) You still get the rush even when you see a band on tv playing.
and finally 5) You hear thirty seconds of a song and can tell if you will like to play that song or not.

You know your a band nerd/geek/dork when...
...you aren't even in band, but you still volenteer to catalog all the music, starting with putting it all in score order, then putting the music in alphabetical order. Three days a week, because the other two you have a double-lab-period for Bio.
...you know who composed, wrote, and arranged a popular oldies song. You also know how it goes, what part does what, and when everything is cued. BUT when your dad asks who sings it, you can't tell him for your life.
...you have read through about 38 pages out of 92 and wanted to post before continuing so the mods know you're really on here all the time reading this thread.

You wear Dinkles (or whatever marching shoe your school uses) to school on days you don't have games or practise. (they're just so darn comfy!)
And you actually miss band camp...although you don't have to smell gas fumes for a while.

I didn't do it . . . but someone else did sweatdrop i was gonna do that, but i think my BD burned the old ones... uhmmm You know your a band nerd when you know the tone of the school Bell yeah it's a trumpet's G (concert pitch)
