As she felt the hard suface of the Red Opal in her palm, her eyes opened comepletely as she closed her hand. A satisfied smile came on her face as she gave the Opal to Rikku, "It is done..."

A red light surrounded Troden and stopped the wave going towards Rikku, sending it back to it's owner. He fwll backwards as the power of the Opal destroyed the remaining vampires and successfully knocked Troden out. He was gone t othe world now.

Relief poured through Lina as she sensed none of the troops inside her base. All except Troden was gone. She turned and growled lightly, "Troden..."

Remus grudgingly lowered his gun.
Lotan picked Trodan up and walked to the door. He threw Trodan out of the building. "Let him suffer this humilitation and loss. It will be punishment enough for now. He doesn't have much left now. Things will be very difficult for him."

Lina nodded, "But his men are loyal. He will come back for revenge." she then sighed, "By that time we would have a new base in another area and even tighter defenses. I will not allow such a stunt to be pulled in my base again."

Lotan nodded. "That would be wise, but you can do no more tonight. Rest and tomorrow we will begin again."
Remus had disappeared. He had slipped away while Lotan was dealing with Trodan. He now sat quietly in the training room, doing as he had many times before, meditating to calm himself.

The men that had attack the Bastet base had comepleted their part of the mission and found their Leader out cold on the ground. They looked at each other as they took him to the Rajen base. Troden, their undefeatable leader...had just been defeated.

Lina nodded, lowering her head in respect as she walked away. She was glad that Lotan was here at the precise moment of Troden's attack. If he hadn't Troden's swift ways would have utterly destroyed the base. She stopped for a second and turned back to Lotan, "Forgive me for asking, but I sensed more than friendship between you and Aurora. Maybe what you spoke to me about my own feelings is something you must study on yourself..." she then left the hallway. taking her time to walk to the training area. She dearly needed some peace, even if it was with training. But secretly she wished that she would find Remus there.

Remus's concious mind moved through his thoughts, setting some of them aside for later and focusing on others. His emotions slowly calmed. His anger subsided and his breathing slowed.

The door slowly opened, and a finally blood-free Lina came into the room. A few of her female members somehow dragged her protesting body into the changing room and forced the Lotus Leader to change. She was now wearing a white robelike gown, quiet befitting her recent experience. She smiled when she saw Remus meditating and sat down nearby, this time no training methods on her mind. All she wanted now was peace.

Remus felt a presence and opened his eyes. He saw Lina sitting near him and a look of happy surprise crossed his face. "You look beautiful..." He ran his hand over his now human face, feeling the beginnings of a beard. He smiled further. "I guess I'm kind of a mess."
