Anastasius Focht
"Ah... so according to you, you are just a pain in the a** these days......"

Focht smirked and jumped up and to the side, easily clearing the destructive energy. He didn't seem too worried about the blade that had gone into the roof at the moment. If Xol followed Focht's movements, it would be rather hard to notice the counter. When Focht had kicked the 2 pieces of the katana off the edge, he caught them with simple manipulations of air. It didn't take much for him to bring them up to chest height and send them like throwing weapons arcing around the wave of destructive energy toward Xol. Even as the 2 blades were sent in Xol's direction, Focht was already beginning to alter the air in another manner. He seemed to be holding back, waiting for something. Over all, it seemed as if Focht was just having fun with this fight, not taking it seriously.

"That depends Focht, I'm only a pain in the a** to the ladies." He winked, sommersaulting to the left and pulling the blade he had sent to through the roof back towards him hoping to intersect with Focht's katana shards and destroy them. It would be of no use to deflect them as Focht would just redirect them towards him again.

When he landed, Xol snapped his open gauntlet closed and the wall of dark matter exploded. This would cause the roof to buckle and explode, sending materials into the main hall of Draeken's Mansion. Fockt, unless he was a good fifty odd feet in the air, would be engulfed in the circumference of the expanding black sphere.

Aria lay in the training room of the mansion, curled in a corner, she was twitching violently, her pupils the size of pinpricks and eyes wide. There was a steady flow of blood pouring from her mouth, she made no move to stop it. She didn't have a clue what was happening to her father, she could feel the pain however, all that he could not, and in some indirect way it was slowly killing her as well. The orange leather training suit that was clad on her body slowly was soaked with red on her hands and stomach. She couldn't think, it was too difficult. For once she was frightened more so than anything else. She was loosing her father, and her soul itself felt like it was being pulled from her. Where did Aethi go? Where was she? The girl wanted nothing more than to see her love, she was afraid.

Phia's body pulsed, she awakened, why she had been asleep, she had no clue, she picked herself up from the cold floor of the library. Incredible pain and memory wracked her small form. Draeken, the name pulsed in her mind. He was dying. Her mind quickly spread out and blanketed the mansion and it's grounds, she found him and in a manner of seconds she was before him. The sight was horrible, he was kneeling there on the cold stone, bleeding from his stomach. Phia's nose picked up the scent of the poision she had the idea that nothing she learned in medical school would be able to help him. All she could do was be with him, she knew some magic, she could try, she would try. Phia kneeled before him and reached foreward to touch the wound, her hands were surrounded by green hylden energy. Phia looked around for it's source, Atha stood to her side.

Athaele, the once, proud, homicidal, malicious, cold-hearted goddess, cared little for things she once valued, she looked sadly down to Draeken and his state, and felt pity for him, but even worse for Phia, she was already losing him, she had once, a second time must be worse. She knew of the poision's qualities, she couldn't let Phia get it on her hands and submit to the same fate. She had children after all. That was the slightest bit of compassion Atha had left.

"Just don't get killed..." She said softly.

Phia nodded, tears already slid from her violet gaze. Her lip trembled. She wasn't sure what to do, she summonded every bit of magic and energy she had and set her hands on his wound, trying with every fiber of her being to remove the poision, to reverse it's effects on him, the man she cared for the most in the world. She had lost him once, she was unsure if she could lose him again.

"Draeken...Please...please dun' leave me, fight it, let me fix it....please!" She knew it was useless but she couldn't stand watching him diteriorate. She looked to the man before him, she was sobbing. She suddenly turned around quickly and looked to the clone. "Please...I'll do anything! ANYTHING! Just as long ye reverse this! Stop what is happening I'll do anything!!!"

Once sai had caught herself from falling, She now had to worry about Xol's dark matter attack that was rapidly expanding on the roof top. Expanding her fingers of the gunalet towards the nearing matter, as the gunalet opened and spun around what would be where a Arm and hand would be, in a rapid motion. A circle of White Light engulf Sai, as it seemed to cave in onto the gunalet like a beam, Once the circle was completely closed onto the gunalet, She clapped her hands, as a flash of bright light exploded as her gunalet snapped shut around her arm again. She sent back a Wave of Shadow energy, that cut through the air in a semi circle from her to counter Xol's Attack, hoping to give Focht some time, or even Time for her Move from the area of attack.

Standing on the Edge of the roof, She fell back, twisting her body, perfectly to land, upon the ground, a few feet from the mansion. Once she landed, a small wave of dust and dirt shifted, as she landed kneeling on one knee and on her hands. She glanced up in hopes that Focht had time to move from the attack.

Appearing in a bright blue burst of light, Aethi flung herself towards Aria. "Damn it, I know you can feel what's happening, but I wont let you go out because of it!" She sounded angry, but fear was evident in her eyes and she knelt next to Aria, her hands already touching the areas of her lovers body where blood was flowing freely. A soft blue glow surrounded her hands as she worked what healing abilities she had. "I'll destroy that clone of my fathers! You and I together! Yeah? That sound good? You and I! We'll kill him!"

Draeken's body was wavering now, his balance all but leaving him entirely. Turning his head towards Phia, his face blackening and the skin starting to crack, he smiled and tried to speak. It only came out in a hoarse wheeze, but his lips still moved enough to convey the words, "I love you." He started to sag forward then as his body finaly lost all ability to remain upright. He kept his eyes on Phia however, because at that moment, his eyes were beginning to film over, but not in death. His eyes were being corroded away now as well, and he wished his last sight to be his wife's face.

Truinthil tilted his head at Sundel and laughed. "I have no soul for you to take. I'm a clone who upon creation was granted too much power, though with various limitatios preset within my genetic code. Unfortunately, when the real Truinthil who oddly enouh stands by my side in wanting you and your remaining buddy out of here, was assimilated by the evil Draeken he so foolishly created, the spells keeping me in check were nullified and hence, I am able to warp myself as I see fit, to a certain extent of course. So no. You shall not be able to tear a soul from me, making your gift in dealing out death almost worthless against me. If you wish to kill me, you will have to do so in outright combat."

Grimacing, the original Truinthil shrugged uneasily as his clone spoke. It was all true. He had not been thoughtfull enough in keeping restrictions on the clone and because of that they were in the state they are in now. "I may have a soul, but it's fragmented. Good luck in attaining it all in one go, Sundel. I stand by my decision to not let you nor your friend have the soul of the one from which I was born."

EDIT:

Turning to look at Phia then, the clone laughed. "Foolish girl. There is no reversing what I have done. You can thank your husbands ancestor for that. In spite of how dishonorable a weapon this is, I chose it because of it's abilities to destroy body and soul. Too bad the Draeken of old wasnt the type to give his weapons grand names. I'm sure this one would have held quite the sinister name in one of the various elegant or monstrous languages he knew."

Xol's attempt to destroy the 2 pieces would work just like he planned. They wouldn't be of much use any more but the intended effect had been achieved. Xol had stopped to defend. With Xol stopped, Focht unleashed what he had been hiding but fired it in what seemed to be off target as he tried to dodge the energy. The blade would appear to miss slightly over head before stopping suddenly. At that moment, six blades of air shot up from beneath Xol in a complete hexagon around him. The blade that had stopped above him shot downward, changing into a very compact and powerful blast of air that would send Xol through the roof and possibly the next floor as well since the blades had already removed any of the support the roof would offer. The 6 blades would invert and follow the blast of air downward after Xol.

Missing with the blade of air had a second purpose, provide momentum. It might have been enough to clear the explosion of energy if he had sent something other than a blade of air to finish his counter. Focht used the momentum and manage some slight manipulation of the air to miss the edge of the roof and head downward. This wasn't enough to completely avoid it, but it was enough to minimize the exposure. As he fell, he twisted to try and avoid the outer edges of the blast but it didn't do any good. Passing the equator of the explosion, it expanded and engulfed his left arm and the left side of his torso. Sai would notice him grimacing in pain as his left arm had all 3 major bones broken, along with a number of ribs. He landed on the ground infront of the Mansion, dropping to his left knee to absorb the impact, grabbing his injured arm as he did so. Focht's shirt seemed to have shredded into nothing where it had been inside of the sphere, and he seemed alittle unsteady on his feet for the moment.

Sai watched as she raised her hands to her mouth in shock that focht didnt make it completely out of it. Once he landed she rushed over to him as she noticed he was pain from his left arm that he was holding. She knelt Down to his level and glanced at him. let me help you, you can not fight Xol alone like this.... She tore off a piece from her bottom half of her dress, and gently wrapped it around his broken arm. This might hurt ... She said seconds before she just pulled the ends tightly to hold his arm in place, to prevent further damage. She stood up as she went to help focht, she mentally Screammed at KB. KB!!!!! Where the Bloody Hell are you! Focht is wounded and we need to take him to shelter... She glanced at Focht in worry, she hated to see him hurt, and part of this attack on the mansion was part her fault for seeing T.

Xol sneered as the six blades of air impacted and tore into his body. Was Focht foolish enough that after all this time he still didn't realize that, like Mastema, attacks that would penetrate the body held no harm for him? The air blast from above though, would do what it had been intended to do and smash Xol through the already failing roof to the floor below. When the six blades of air followed him down, he ripped a hole beneath himself and dropped down through it, leaping forward to let the blades of air impact with the ground.

With a quick scan of the area, he felt Focht and Sai's auras through an adjacent wall. A pulse of dark matter obliterated the wall seperating them to which Xol would burst out not a second later. Both massive blades trailed behind him, shooting around in an arc as he brought his arms forward and then bearing down on the aforementioned duo in an 'X' pattern.

"Don't tell me you were trying to leave already Anastasius." Xol hissed before his two gauntlets collided in front of him and a debiltating sonic wave was released in their direction. The wave would vaporize the the top layer of the ground as it moved towards it's targets, intended to knock both unconsious or severly impair them so that the incoming blades could dispatch them entirely.

Like an angel from the sky to save them from their worries, a form fell. One might think KB had enough representations of himself and his power in the area, but apparently not. No, another droid of some sort wouldn't tear away fabric and reality. He could have limitless of these, so long as time and resources allowed... It was the perfection of conception to build a thing, though biological methods had their moments.

It was decidedly a creation of KB, one could tell for it held the same visage. The form of dress had changed slightly, favoring a style of dress familiar of old travelers. A pair of thin gold-rimmed, and more importantly rounded, glasses sat upon his face. He wore a cloak, the coloration of tunic, coat, pants and such all a mixture of tans and browns. His right hand firmly gripped the shaft of a shortspear about it's middle, the somewhat fancy weapon gleaming softly in the light. At his waist a blade was present, a straight-bladed sword somewhat like a gladius, but larger.

Standing on the roof quietly he turned his reddened gaze upon Xol, having landed silently amid the sweeping blasts of air. He could see an explosion of dark energy lashing out from Xol, perhaps a memory of a long-lost battle.

Erudemasa did allow Old D's full mind to hit him. It wasn't anything he hadn't at least glanced over. The experience of semi-living through the memories was slightly different, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with. In return, Eru opened a portion of his mind to Old Draeken to observe. This consisted of images that Erudemasa had seen of alternate paths not taken by D. There was one where he conquered the world, only to be overthrown by a mismatched group of rag-tag rebels who were barely able to put aside personal differences to defeat him. There was one where he had died at the appointed time, which had ended up eliminating most of the problems in the world by removing him from the balance. The most bizzare one was where Old Draeken had become a mime, travelling the world as a silent performer, and recruited individuals who looked strangely like KB, Mastema, and Xol into his circus troupe. Of course, none of these would ever come to pass, but it was sure fun looking at them sometimes. To the soul within the weapon, Erudemasa responded (OOC Note: Trip and Pleasant, as they are pretty intimately tied to Erudemasa's mind, can hear this dialogue)"Oh, don't worry. Your soul will pass on from here. Sunny-Day over there would have nothing less. I just want one teensy little thing before I allow your transition. And yes, I have some death avoiding abilities beyond speed. Why do you-" It was at this point that Eru's mental communication was cut off by the large piece of bone now sticking through his chest.

Erudemasa had made no moves to avoid or even notice the spikes of bone approaching him. As such, the largest fragment caught him right in the chest. His eyes widened with shock and pain as he coughed up blood from his mouth for a moment before going limp. At that instant, all within the area could feel a pulling sensation at the base of their skull. This lasted only a moment before disappearing as a new Erudemasa stood calmly and with a smirk on his face on top of the tip of one of the bone fragments. The limp body still hung where it had been stuck, but the spear was in the possession of the new Erudemasa. He made a 'tut-tut' noise as he wagged his finger at the clone of Truinthil. "Sorry, Harry True-man. I don't go down that easy. Unfortunately for both of you, I've got what I was here for, so I'll be asking your leave."

He stepped down from the bone spear point and sketched a mock salute to the two Truinthils before slamming the butt end of the spear onto the ground. A small black pool of water began to form on the floor. The light did not reflect on it, nor could anything be seen through it. If a person looked closely at it, they could see millions of flashing images, each one not connected to any other (and yet seemed to corrolate very well with the shifting patterns of Erudemasa's scarf). He looked over at Sundel and said "Well, delightful Sunny, as a courtesy and a gesture of politeness, I'll be glad to discuss this with you. If you'd please step into my office..." Erudemasa gestured to the small pool of liquid.

-=Basaran @ XOL=-

A blue flash explodes through the room between Xol and his targets, events catching up with eyes a moment after the actual event. Basaran had darted from the recesses of the house to run the claws on his left hand through the sonic wave as it erupted from Xol, cutting the shockwave like so much paper with the hooked weapons. The ribbons of the destroyed attack would fall apart harmlessly around them, with the fundamental concept driving the force shredded it would degrade into so much flotsam in the air.

His right hand, extended perpendicular to his body and pointing at Focht and Sai, begins to crackle with binary magic.

"Well well feather-pillow, you have some interesting tricks now don't you? I can see why the can of flesh wants a piece of your nappy hide."

A rapid burst of code would jump from Basaran to the KUnit now above them on the mansion, relaying spatical coordinates, access codes, and authorization requests for the portal that was rapidly opening for the wounded fighter and the foe turned friendly that was tending his wounds.

"How about we play for a while oh prickly one? I've heard the blood of angels makes excellent motor oil, and these two have a prior engagement I'm afraid."

(That's your cue to head out Focht and Sai, the portal will take you to the Cradle)

-=Trip and Pleasant=-

Apparently letting a soul one was holding on to connect entirely to the mind of a person was enough not only to letting them hear the telepathic conversation, but to allow the two figments a measure of reciprocity as well.

Pleasant waves energetically at the soul of Old D, assured that he could see her, and blows kisses.

Trip meanwhile, has busted out the plastic picnic table and the A1 Steak Sauce.

Focht winced a little as Sai pulled the makeshift sling tight. It wasn't his prefered manner of dealing with broken bones but he let it go for now. Standing and turning to face Xol,

"Sai, go, I will be right behind you....."

The blades on the other hand, were left for him to deal with. There was a very big flaw in the design of these blades, and Focht intended to exploit it. He sent a bubble of highly compressed air toward the 'X' formed by the blades, a moment after the bubble made contact, it exploded outward with enough concussive force to send the blades sideways. There had also been the intention to counter the shock wave headed toward himself and Sai but there wasn't a solid burst from Xol left to speak of. The resultant excess of kinetic energy faded over the distance and would just be a slight breeze when it reached Xol.

"Sorry Xol... This isn't the time or the place for us to fight."

Focht turned and stepped through the portal, hoping Sai would follow.

Sai stood and waited for Focht, as he told her to go, She walked towards the portal but remained a few steps away she wasn't stepping through without him. She waited for him and just as he walked through she glanced back at Xol with a blank expression held in her blue eyes, as she turned, her body curves perfectly as she hugged herself gently to hold up the ripped piece of cloth around her chest, as she stepped through the portal after focht.

The beauty of the weapons he used is that they were very unconventional. When the bubble of compressed air exploded, they indeed caused the path of the blades to veer to the side, however the blades would simply stop in air and continue down on their previous path. Focht had caused just enough of a pause for him to escape as the blades impacted with the ground right after he stepped through the portal.

Xol let out a huff of air as the sonic wave was cut down by Basaran before it could reach Focht and Sai. "Really now? Well, I'm sure I can find a way to make a few little play things out of your spare parts now couldn't I?" He scoffed. Unfortunately for Basaran, the blades were shooting back to their master and flying right towards his sternum. This would be evident to him soon enough as the white hot, liquid metal 'chains' became taunt and zipped past his midsection.

His eyes shifted briefly to lock with Sairys' as she to passed through the portal. "Hmph... what a waste of talent. If only..."
