((Congrates.)) Nanina smiled softly and shrugged. "Maybe, if the nurse is hot." She teased him, not knowing if he was the kind of guy to find this funny or not.Shannon faintly heared someone shouting, so she peeked out the front door. "Someone calling me?"

Xavier nodded simply and held Fangs on his arm, feeling numb and wondering if he should have gone with Summer. "Wheres the nearest hospital?" He asked, even though his gaze was diverted so that he was looking either at Fangs or at his feet. He knew it might be a long trip away, and couldn't help but feel bad for Chris. They probably weren't off to the best start considering that he was sleeping with his sister, but maybe it would be put on hold for now. Hopefully ...
Xavier smiled a tiny bit and looked at them lightly when he heard their conversation. It was nice, seeing them fall in love with each other.
And Chris had called Nanina and himself lovebirds yesterday?
God, was that yesterday?
Kahlilia watched them with interest, starting and stopping the time when Roman told her to. "Wow," She said when they came back and were in earshot. "Thirty-nine seconds. Thats really good!"
The girl's face had brightened in her excitement, and she was smiling. She realized both of the horses were also getting very excited by the way they were acting - it was contagious.
Kahlilia took off the watch and handed it back to Roman, giving Phoenix a small congragulatory pat on the neck. Benvolio whickered again, and put his head down to either graze or sniff the lush grass that was below his hooves. Then Kahlilia realized he wasn't doing either - the rabbit from about five minutes before was back and it was about twenty feet away from the two stallions. Benvolio's ears pricked up and he looked at the animal like a cat would a bird or a mouse and Kahlilia hoped he wouldn't go running after it, as he looked tempted to do.
Thankfully, he didn't.
For now.

((OOC: Thanks. whee He actually belongs to my instructor, which, as you can imagine, makes it a wee bit uncomfortable when I'm making dumb mistakes. His name is Snapper, and he's a sweetie most days.))
Roman smiled faintly. "It certainly is. But I think he could do better if I let him run it the way he wanted to. We'll try that next time." Cheerfully, he patted the stallion's neck in congratulations.
He noticed Kahlilia's sudden tenseness and lifted a brow curiously. "Something wrong?" he asked, looking at the ground. He didn't see anything, and wondered what she and Ben were looking at. Everything looked all right.
Phoenix also blew curiously at Ben, his ears flicking back and forth as though he were asking the same question Roman was.

"I thought Ben would try to go after that rabbit over there," Kahlilia said, suddenly blushing. Of course, Ben was still eyeing the little furry creature with great interest, and it seemed to be increasing. There was probably more of them, because of the fact that rabbits multiplied like no other - and another one poked its head out from some grass maybe five feet away. Benvolio was getting excited at the presence of these little playmates.
Surprisingly, Kahlilia looked calm now. If the stallion went after the rabbits there would be no harm done, because they would scurry away and Benvolio wasn't aiming to hurt them. In fact, he seemed like he wanted to play. It was sort of like a cat befriending a mouse to become friends - odd, but maybe theres that one tiny chance that one won't be like all of the others.
Don't start this whole thing up again, an inner voice suddenly chastisted her. She ran a hand through her tousled brown hair and looked over at the other two. "Um," She said quietly, giving a light smile, "What do you want to do ... ? "

Chris just laughed and said, "Well if the nurse is hot then I guess I can live without you visiting me to often," he smiled at her then moved to stand up which he managed to do but had to lean against a tree for support for he felt dizzy all of the sudden. The he heard Xavier and looked over at him. "So how are you treating my sister? Are you two sleeping together yet?" he asked him suddenly trying to get his mind off the pain in his arm, and his head.
Summer looked over to see Shannon, "Yes my brother got knocked off his horse and broke his arm, you have to come quick, please." Summer then held Shadow in control since the horse was dancing with nervous energy.

"Oh no. Not again!" Shannon swipped her keys and cellphone off of the table by the door and them lept from the house towards her truck. "Show me where." SHannon called to Summer as she started her truck and dialed the hospital at the same time.
Nanina frowned, since she wasn't very fond of being teased herself. "Huh. Maybe." She muttered, digging a hole in the ground with teh toe of her boot. She fell silent as Chris asked Xavior about something, and she looked up, already knowing the answer. A blush jumped onto her cheeks and she picked her hat off the ground and dipped it low on her forehead.

Summer nodded at Shannon and then turned Shadow around and galloped back the way she had come. Shadow liking to gallop put all of her heart into it as she could since that something was wrong.
Chris noticed how slient Nanina had become and smiled at her while pushing off from the tree and walked over to her, "Hey don't worry if there is a hot nurse I'll tell her I already have a nurse and she's you, I don't want another girl right now." He didn't see her blush but when Thunder walked over to him he leaned against the horse to maintain his balance. He looked back at Xaiver and waited for him to answer his question.

"Your horse chases rabbits?" inquired Roman, looking slightly amused. That was interesting. Considering that it couldn't be for food - horses were still herbivores as far as he knew. It was a strange way to look for amusement. Although Phoenix was also eyeing the rabbits, it was certainly not in a friendly way - more of a 'How far can they get before I catch them and stomp them to death?' sort of way.
At Kahlilia's question, Roman thought for a few minutes and grinned. "Let's just ride for a while," he said. "Then I guess we'll have to go back eventually and see what the afternoon chores are." Patting Phoenix's neck, he said lightly, "Want to go down to the stream? It'll be a bit cooler."

Xavier bristled when he heard Chris' question and hesitated for a time.
Oh God, he thought as he remembered how both of the boys had said they hated to see their sisters hurt and could easily kill their tormentor if they had the desire to. Did sex count as 'hurting'?
No, don't answer that.
Did Chris find out that Summer might become pregnant? He hoped not. Summer had told him that she most likely wouldn't get pregnant ; but what were the odds?
What were the flipping odds?
He puffed up and then stopped himself a second later. "I haven't done anything to her," he said in a surprisingly thick voice. Well, what did that prove? It only proved he was being defensive of himself, which meant that he had slept with Summer ...
I slept with her twice. In the showers and in the hayloft.
Shut up!
"Yeah," Kahlilia blushed again, noticing the look Phoenix was giving the rabbits. "Well, I guess so at least."
The rabbits went to go who-knows-where and Benvolio quickly lost interest in them. Maybe it was because they so rarely came out that they seemed so interesting?
The sun was starting to beat down on them and it was growing very hot where they were, even under the shade of the trees, so of course Kahlilia was happy to hear mention of a stream. Nodding, she returned the grin and Benvolio began to trot happily towards the stream.

A feeling ...
She shook the thoughts away the second they snaked into her mind. Her mind's red flags were going off, and deep in the back of her mind she was both anxious and afraid. How to deal with it?
For now, it would stay hidden. And maybe if she was lucky, it would last.
"Do you know where the stream is?" Kahlilia asked Roman casually, looking around.

"Hey no need to get defensive, she seems more relaxed than she normally is that's why I asked plus if you where sleeping with her as long as she agreed and you didn't seduce her then everything's cool," Chris said his voice sounding a little weak since the pain in his arm and head combined was draining his strength. "On the other hand if you did seduce her then I'd have to kill you," Chris said a small grin on his face he then held out his uninjured arm and hand to Xavier, "We cool?" he asked him.

Xavier chuckled a little, but it was a hollow and strained sound. "Yeah, we're cool," He replied and shook his hand. "You need help up? The others will be here pretty soon."

"It's not far," replied Roman, loosening his reins to the buckle to let Phoenix stretch his neck. It occurred to him that jumping in a Western saddle wasn't the best thing to do - he would have to see if there were any English saddles around that he could put on Phoenix. Which meant snooping around the barn without letting anyone know what he was doing. Also, it meant finding out how to tell when a saddle had the right fit.
He noticed that Kahlilia looked very pale, and sort of tense. Perhaps the rabbit episode had scared her more than she wanted to admit? But she seemed to trust Ben, and she hadn't had any problems galloping him when he'd been timing her. "Something wrong?" he asked gently.

Kahlilia saw the stream a little bit after Roman answered her, and looked over at him. "How did you know it was here?" The ranch was doubtlessly very large, and she wondered how long the property stretched out for. Then, her mind began to wander to the possibility of these horses either being born here on the ranch or being transferred from somewhere else. Maybe it was a mixture, she couldn't be sure - all of the horses seemed very young. She was trying to stop her mind from going back to where it was trying to go, but so far it was proving futile. What is this feeling?
She was surprised, however, when she realized that Roman noticed her tensing up. If only she knew how to keep her thoughts from altering her body. If only ...
"Yeah, I'm fine," she said, willing herself to smile. Then, she looked at Benvolio and saw that he had trotted to the water's edge and was cautiously drinking it. "Wow, you really were right!"

"My amazing psychic abilities," replied Roman casually as he removed Phoenix's saddle and placed it on a low-hanging branch. Moving on to the stallion's reins - he wanted the bridle's headpiece to stay on in case Phoenix decided that the scent of a mare was more intriguing than remaining with his rider - he continued, "Also known as, I smelled river and followed it. Water does have a smell, you know - kind of a flat mineral smell. You can almost taste it." Turning Phoenix loose after hanging up the reins, he watched the stallion roll.
When Kahlilia said she was fine, however, Roman's gaze turned slowly to her.
Tell the truth. Almost unbidden, the words rose to his lips, but he bit them back. It wasn't right. He couldn't say something like that to her. He barely knew her. Instead, knowing it was a weak substitute, he settled for, "Are you sure? You don't look well."
