Popo smiled and sat where Iyasu motioned. She was excited and said, "Very much so, onee-san. I've never worn makeup before." Popo was like a giddy little girl, very curious. She tried to withhold her enthusiasm, but her smile said it all. She was happy and could not wait for the chance to succeed and be a real geisha.

Popo did as Iyasu instructed and began applying the makeup. Popo's hands shook with nervousness. There were lumps, especially around her nose. Her back was not that glamous, either, but Popo did what she must to hold herself together and not become upset or discouraged. She wanted to do her best, she wanted to impress Iyasu, but she felt as though she were failing.

As Popo finished up, a tear fell from her eye. She quickly wiped it away and then became determined. Popo's face scrunched up a bit--like she had a game face on--and she did not shed another tear. She was not going to let Iyasu down again. Popo was determined to keep herself in Iyasu's good graces and act as an adult instead of the silly little whiny child she was.

This was most difficult, but Popo managed to finish. She turned to Iyasu and said, "I'm sorry, onee-san. I am terrible. I did not do well at all. Forgive me. Can you fix me?"

She giggled as Tanpopo did her best to put on the make up. She was rather surprised that the maiko tried to do the back of her neck as well. It was an all right, espeically for her first time!

"Popo-chan, you did a wonderful job for your first time! I'm very surprised of how well you did with the back of your neck too! No need to worry, all of the lumps can be smoothed out with this." Iyasu raised up wide jar with an easy to remove lid. Inside of it was a white powder and very heavy puff. "With this, we use this to 'beat' the lumps smooth. As for the back of your neck, I'll do the same thing for you as I did for Yokome. I drew an outline for her with the three progs and she painted in the rest, until she became skilled enough to do it on her own. I will do the same for you." She smiled, "So shall we continue?"

Popo nodded happy that Iyasu was not angry, but instead giddy. Popo smiled a bit, ready to continue.

Popo took the puff and began beating it against her face. She tried to get everywhere, but she still left a spot or two near her nose. She looked at Iyasu and said, "Is this better, onee-san? I'm sorry it's not perfect. Forgive me, I'm no good at this.." Popo sighed as she placed the puff back down and hung her head.

Tanpopo nodded with a small smile on her face. She was overly curious as to what the finishing touches were..

"All right, I'll do one side of your face and I'll let you do the other one, and I'll switch sides until you get the hang of it." She smiled, "Sound good?"

"Oh wow! Thank you so much!" She said, carefully sitting down with them. She looked around the room. What would she draw? She thought for a long while, before decided to draw the others in the room as they drew. She smiled. It sounded like a good idea. And so she got to work, to preoccupied to take any mochi, though she did like mochi very much.
