You'll never expect what you can't see... Siom was still frozen. He couldn't believe this was happening - not to Isaac - not to Kayla's father. His body was becoming more and more tense. He couldn't move.
Dark entered through the opening of the arena. Siom was on the battleground and Isaac was doubled over a short distance in front of him. He put his hands into the pockets of his jacket and smirked under his mask. "So... Siom won." He then saw Graff rushing down to the field. Looking back, Dark realized Isaac was bleeding.

Isabelle squaked as her tail feathers shook in worry. She flew down to the arena floor on Isaac's right side and noticed his injury. Tears began to fall down her face and onto the wound as it began to heal, which also stopped the bleeding. "I hope he's alright." Mira said, slightly worried.

Graff rush the last steps of stairs and jumps to the arena ground, as he falls he felt a jolt of pain in his legs "... still hurts... I havent healed... that worries me... but that would be for later... now to check Isaac..." as he approaches Siom and Dark are already there, but Dark remained at one side watching Isaac but without doing anything "... hey, why nobody are helping him...?, Isaac is wounded, Siom... Siom!!! come on man...!! i know you didnt wanted to hurt him, but I need your help, he may be a former champion, but he is no youngster... come, help me to check him..." Graff kneels besides Isaac while waiting for Siom-

((Uh, you forget the phoenix Isabelle is next to Isaac and has used her tears of healing to help heal Isaac's injury!))

You'll never expect what you can't see... Siom shook his head, snapping out of his self-induced paralysis, as Graff shouted at him. Noting what all is happening, he pointed at the phoenix to inform Graff, knowing well its healing properties. He still wasn't speaking, he hadn't yet forgiven himself.
Dark continued just to watch as Graff jumped down from the stands and stumbled a little before running over to Isaac. Hearing Graff's call, he proceeded over to Isaac as well, but he took his time doing so. "Calm down. I'm coming." Even he's seen the regenerative abilities of a phoenix.

Graff turns to to see Siom pointing toward something "what? what are you pointing..." then he noticed, in his hurry he didnt see that Isabelle already was there "... a phoenix?, damn... always running without looking first..." even in his homeland the fame of the phoenix was well know. He remained kneeled beside Isaac while the phoenix tended Isaac.

Isaac's injury had fully healed as the phoenix's tears helped to reset the bones and tissues and stopped the bleeding. Isabelle had finished and noticed Graff who knelt beside Isaac. She hopped over to him and gently rubbed her head against Graff's shoulder in greeting. Isabelle then used her tears on Graff's injury, healing it completely. Isaac slowly opened his eyes as he regained conciousness, carefully attempting to sit up on his knees.

You'll never expect what you can't see... As Isaac sat up, Siom turned his back to them, not allowing eye contact. He started to leave the mildly forested field, passing Dark along the way.
Dark watched Siom walk passed him without a word. Although finding this strange, he shrugged it off and continued over to Isaac and Graff. Kneeling down on one knee, he smacked Isaac on the back gently, "Well, you're alright now. Seems I came all this way for nothing." Leaning back a bit he continued, "I certainly missed something interesting though."

Isaac only nodded in reply to Dark. He then turned to see Siom begin to leave. "Congratulations Siom.... you won." he said simply.

You'll never expect what you can't see... Siom stopped, without looking back. There was a moments pause. Wind kicked up a thin layer of dust between them. "No... it was a draw." He took a long breath, "My style dictates that I win intentionally. I didn't make contact on purpose. This 'victory...' was a fluke." He then continued out of the arena.
Dark looked around, something seemed off. 'Where was Kayla - how could she miss her father's match? She did seem more of the family type, after all.' Siom left from sight. Dark nudged Isaac with his elbow, "Hey! Don't you have a daughter here somewhere?"

Isaac stood up and glanced over at Dark. "She's in her room at the moment. I don't think it would be a good idea to disturb her right now." he replied. Isaac then turrned his gaze back to Siom as he began to walk after him.
((I guess now would be a good time for him to talk with Siom about what happened after Kayla asked Siom the question, right?))

You'll never expect what you can't see... ((Anytime is good, but how would Isaac know of what happened? Siom won't say much, and Isaac hasn't spoken with Kayla.))
''Not a good idea to disturb her?'' It's not like Dark was planning on seeking her out. He looked over to Graff, "Did I miss a lot?"

((Well, he has talked to Kayla before about it, sometime before she asked Siom, and of course he had currently declined. Oh yeah, by the way, when Isaac calls Kayla Moondance, that's the elven name her mother gave her. I guess now would be a good time for Isaac to speak with Siom about why he rejected Kayla's request?))
Isaac decided to head towards Kayla's room for a while. He knew he had to speak with Siom, but decided to do it later. Once he approached the room, Isaac opened the door and walked in, closing it behind him. He noticed that Kayla had been laying there on her bed crying. Isaac went over and gently placed his hand on her back, a concerned look crossed his face. "Hey, what's wrong Moondance?" he asked calmly. Kayla slowly lifted her head and sat up, wrapping her arms around her father in a hug as she cried. "I... I asked Siom if h-he would be my life mate... and he said no." she replied through her sobs. Isaac returned the embrace as he held his daughter. "Shh, take it easy. I wonder why he would decline." he said, thinking out loud a bit. "I don't know father, he didn't say." Kayla replied in a slightly shaky voice as she wiped the tears from her eyes and looked up at her father. Isaac placed a hand on his daughter's face and used his thumb to wipe away a stray tear. "Don't worry, I'll see if I can talk with him about it and find out." he said reassuringly, giving a small smile. "Thanks." Kayla said, giving her father one last hug. "You're welcome." Isaac said in reply. He then left the room and went to catch up to Siom. Once he did, he called out to him. "Hey Siom, do you mind if I ask you something?" Isaac asked him.

You'll never expect what you can't see... Siom went straight to the lounge. He was so caught up in everything going through his head, he didn't even notice the small floral arrangements of single carnations as a center piece per each table. He sat in a vacant chair, not adjacent to anyone and rest his head on the table. He heard Isaac call out for him. He closed his eyes and sighed softly, before lifting his head. "Sure Isaac, what is it?" his softer, monotonous voice still reflected the shame and disappointment he was trying so desperately to hide. Siom was hoping that this conversation wasn't going to be what he thought it was.
Par'il was still waiting for his bread to rise. Each pan was definitely larger than when it started.

Graff watched as the phoenix healed Isaac and then his own wounds "... that felt... so good... i... i felt like new..." after Isaac is healed, Siom walks away and Isaac goes after him after exchanging some words with Dark. Dark asks Graff if he missed too much "... well I also come too late, only watched the last blows, but I guess the fight was good, but... I dont want to sound too rude... but... I think that Siom won by sheer luck... unless he was faking it... I dont know..."
