Satoshi felt the confidence that had been pushing him forever onwards since the start of this day, moving him towards the end of the balancing beam. Satoshi knew for a fact that he was walking along the beam, moving steadily towards the finish line. However, at the moment it certainly didn’t feel like such to him. In reality it felt like so much more then just that. It was as if that very confidence was lifting him into the air, like invisible wings that was carrying him towards his destination. Satoshi was so mesmerized by the act that he barely moved his gaze anywhere. His eyes seemed to drift off into space as his feet moved without a care in the world seeming as if they carried no weight at all. Satoshi’s wits really only returned to him after he had reached the end of the balancing beam. His gaze moved first from left to right before he finally twisted his head in order to allow him a last glance back towards the beginning of the balancing beam. A half smile creased its way on Satoshi’s face as he thought about how simple that individual attempt had been. A part of him almost wished all his training exercises consisted of such easily performed attempts. Of course Satoshi also knew that if that were the case then what would have been the point in training at all. If he was such a super shinobi he might as well have just graduated back in Konoha and for that matter the village shouldn’t have been taken since he could have easily protected. No, Satoshi was no great shinobi, at least not yet. Satoshi planned to keep the loss of Konohagakure in his heart and forever engraved in his mind. It would be a reminder of what could come if one became to complacent, let down their guard just a bit too much. Konoha had been a strong village within a powerful nation, filled with shinobi of promise. However, in the end it had been taken and the only thing that the survivors could do at this point was retake it. The fact that it had once been loss could never be erased. Satoshi would just have to make sure that he would become strong enough to join in on the battle to retake the village. When that day came he would perform like a legendary shinobi, perhaps not erasing the history of the past, but performing such a miracle that the prior event would only remain in the new memory’s shadow.
Satoshi let out a giant sigh in relief at his new success as he leapt off the balancing beam and back onto the earth. He knew that soon enough Satoshi would just have to leave that familiar earth once more just to get atop the balancing beam for another run. However, for now he could spend the few moments keeping his feet steadily and reliably on the earth. Satoshi then proceeded to turn around and face the balancing beam that he would be moving upon in just a few moments. He then once again moved through the various steps performing his breathing exercises as well as his light stretching. After a few moments Satoshi was sure that not only was his body limber enough to try again, but he was also properly relaxed. Now Satoshi only needed to try once more. Satoshi rose onto the balancing beam making sure to remain steady upon it. Satoshi then moved forward each step being carefully placed on the balancing beam. Satoshi was going to be trying to make another successful attempt however, at this point he did not know whether he would be successful or not. He would just have to keep walking and see exactly what came of it.

Satoshi moved along the beam unsteadily immediately realizing that he had started off in this training in the wrong way and had put himself in danger almost right away. Satoshi barely made it two steps into his attempt on the balancing beam before finding himself completely off-balance, the farthest thing from what he wanted to do in this situation. Satoshi felt a small twinge of pain as his right ankle twisted in a bad way as one of his steps moved wrong. He felt himself falling on that very same leg unable to stop himself as the momentum of his fall began to pick up. Satoshi didn’t even bother to flap his arms around like some wild and frantic bird this time. He had already realized what his fate was the moment his ankle had twisted slightly and forced him to take this course. Instead of attempting to regain his balance Satoshi rather prepared his body for the fall. He knew that the pain was going to come and the fall might put him on the brink of exhaustion or perhaps even push him over that edge. With that in mind Satoshi didn’t want to add on to that trouble by hitting his head on the fall and forcing himself to have to completely take a break from his training due to a concussion. In those few seconds before the impact on the ground Satoshi did a number of things in order to assure his body to land as safely as possible. The firs thing he did was instinctively move his arms around his head in order to protect his cranium from any serious damage. Satoshi’s next step was brining his legs tightly into his body moving into an almost rolling fetal position before hitting the ground. When Satoshi did land upon that hard earth he went into a small roll the movement absorbing most of the impact as well as lightening the damage on his body. When his roll was finished Satoshi threw out both his legs and arms in a sudden surprising motion as if he were some sort of device that had just been opened by an almost hidden switch.
Satoshi found himself panting for air a few feet away from the balancing beam. So tired was he that he could not even move his gaze in order to peer at the construct that had caused his fall. Satoshi instead kept his eyes low his eyelids barely being forced back from shutting his eyes completely. Satoshi then watched the rise and fall of his chest noting as over it time it began to slow down into a normal pace. When Satoshi could once again think without that incessant buzzing in his head he began to assess his own body and mind. He could immediately tell after the fall that he was indeed tired, but was he too tired to move on? Satoshi kind of hoped that he could press on in order to complete his training as quickly as possible. However, Satoshi didn’t want to endanger himself either. Soon enough Satoshi came to the conclusion that once again he was too exhausted to carry on. If he wanted to continue he was going to need to rest his body in hopes that after a little while of meditation, or what he called being half asleep, he would be ready to continue with his training and not have to stop until he was done.

Satoshi’s mind was that of a blank room. Nothing was within this room except a singular light that hung in the center of the room. Despite the fact that it was only one bulb in the entire closed off room it still somehow managed to keep the room entirely bright. Perhaps if was because all the walls, floor, and ceiling were painted white, or perhaps it was simply because it was what he wanted. However, all that lay within the room was just those very things. This was the picture that Satoshi created in his mind when he began to meditate. He wasn’t exactly sure why this image was what came to mind and if someone asked him he would only remain flabbergasted eventually just chalking it up to the fact that he enjoyed the color white. In reality the blankness of it all helped him concentrate. It helped him clear his mind of all the thoughts that seemed to squirm throughout his brain during the daytime. Even at the very moment, as in the real world Satoshi lay half awake on the cold earth taking a break from his training, thoughts were attempting to cloud his perfect concentration. Of course that was the very purpose of the room he had created to keep out all other thoughts and only leave tranquility remaining. He could feel, but not hear it, as the thoughts pounded against the white door attempting to break in and make his mind chaotic once more. Satoshi did not worry though he did not create some other fabrication of his imagination in order to keep the intruders from breaking in. He held faith in the door lasting and knew as long as he kept his mind at ease and his breathing normal the thoughts would not disturb him. Satoshi had learned such in his prior training session when his sensei had forced him to truly learn about the art of meditation and force such daydreams out of his mind. He was now using that training in order to help him heal. Satoshi had heard that during training not only is one’s body become physically exhausted, but one’s mind also becomes drained. If one meditated then not only would they allow their body to catch up, but it would also put the mind at ease allow it the necessary rest it deserved so that it could be in a good of a shape as the body.
Satoshi could feel the deep breathing he was producing even as his mind remained fixated on the white room and the lone light bulb that hung in its center. Satoshi felt it as his chest rose and fall, a rhythmic pattern that if one paid attention to would almost sound like a steady drum that would begin a song. Things seemed so clear while Satoshi concentrated and allowed his mind to remain at ease. Satoshi was sure that this sort of training would be useful to him even if it wasn’t simply to help recuperate him mentally. He knew this type of trick would also aid him when he needed to think about something that he wasn’t getting it. Satoshi was sure that if he ever had a problem in the real world he could put himself in this room opening the door and only letting that one problem in like a bouncer of a club. From that point of time he could then dissect his problem probing it and working it until he uncovered not only the root of the problem, but also its solution. Satoshi took quite a bit of pride in this realization and made sure that he would never forget such a little trick for he was certain that he would find many uses for it when he graduated from the academy. However, at this juncture such was neither the time nor the place. For now Satoshi kept his body calm as he kept concentrating on simply nothingness allowing his body to rejuvenate itself, waiting for when he felt he could once more continue with his training and finish this.

Satoshi had completed his training exercise nine times already. That meant that if he was successful in this attempt he would be done, able to move onto the next training exercise. Satoshi sort of believed as he moved through that balancing beam that it was that particular thought that pushed him on. Without that thought Satoshi wondered if he could have been so successful in his training exercise. After all those attempts, all those failures, the finish line was finally in sight. The only thing Satoshi had left was to cross that line and cut the white tape that separated him from victory. His footsteps fell quietly, but with a sense of purpose on that small beam as he scurried across it. His movements seemed quicker then usual, but not so much as it was obvious that he was endangering himself and his success. His eyes were glued forward no longer watching his own feet as they stepped one in front of the other. It was as if the Senju student had become entranced by the end of the beam and his gaze could not move to take in any other location. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew that his speed up was a potential risk, but this close to completing his task made it so that his mind was a jumble of thoughts. Because of such his warning of danger was only a whisper made by a shy student in the back of a class filled with active shouters. By the time that whispered reach the head of the class no one could hear it, so drowned out it was. Though generally such reckless behavior would have been the downfall of Satoshi and shown him the error of his ways. However, someone from on high above must have been smiling on him for though there was a few times where falling seemed imminent he came out on top. Satoshi found himself on the finishing end of the beam it taking a moment or two for him to snap out of the fog finishing on the beam had created.
Satoshi leapt for joy right off the beam and back onto solid earth truly happy that he had finished this training and would only recall it from this point as just a another checkpoint on his way to becoming a truly powerful shinobi. Satoshi almost had half the mind for positioning his fingers into a V for victory as he turned back to his Senju Master, Zephyr. However, Satoshi realized that he was not out of the woods yet. Sure he had completed another task that had been given to him, but so much more still lay ahead. He had not even learned two of the three jutsus necessary for completing the academy exam. Though Satoshi would have loved to believe that his training was complete he still had a ways to go before he congratulated himself. With that in mind Satoshi turned to his sensei and gave a deep bow showing his respect. Satoshi had honestly believed that he would find his sensei once again taking a nap. Of course he was only going on the man’s past track record when it came to Satoshi finishing his training exercises. Because of such he was delightfully surprised to see his sensei awake and watching him. Though it made the student a little embarrassed that he had earned such interest it did fill him with a sense of pride and hope. If he could keep the attention of his sensei it must have meant that he had done a good job in his exercise. Satoshi then stood up straight as he said, “All done sensei I await your next task.” Satoshi then went quite excited to see what sort of exercise he would be given next from the wise and strong sannin.

((Lolz. Don't really take offense to the insignificant part though. I was just extremely tempted to slap it on there. xDD - sigh - I miss Jiraiya. He used to view Naruto (at least publicly) speak out something like this. Why? Why did Kishi have to kill him? T.T))
"Very good!" Zephyr smiled brilliantly, clapping as he observed how quickly his student was progressing. Needless to say, the Sannin-medic was quite impressed. The last time he had seen such promise was within his last two genius students, Yokou and Museifu. This time...perhaps...he'll have a chance to redeem himself. When he had taught natural geniuses before, it ended pretty badly, with the team going separate directions. Certainly this time around it won't be a real team...but that's alright. He'll be sure to raise Satoshi well and observe the child's growth. First thing's first though...he'll have to get Satoshi to pass to Genin level as quickly possible.
"Next is Henge no Jutsu! One of the fundamental shinobi arts is learning how to disguise yourself properly and survive on enemy territory! This technique can be performed with either the Tiger or Sheep seal, whichever you prefer. Yokou got me used to the Sheep seal...but beginners would tend to find it easier with the Tiger seal." In a poof of smoke, Zephyr vanished and the same kid from earlier which startled the village's ANBU guards appeared, grinning widely from ear to ear, striking a pose. "They say good teachers have good students! I, the great Zephyr, shall make small, insignificant Satoshi-kun into a legend!" Zephyr promised while wagging one finger (right index) at the boy.

Yumi had failed her first attempt at the Bunshin no Jutsu. She wasn't frustrated but just abnormally tired. She attempted the jutsu again. She wanted to resume the Shinai training and get the form for the clan. Yumi had also hoped to make Giglamesh really proud of her.

Yumi looked first to the left and then to the right of her. She smiled when she realized there were two clones of herself on either side of her real body. She let them dissipate. She had to rest for a moment. The weights were wearing down on her body and the fact that she was already out of chakra played into the fact as well.
