tested_and_true -xXHeavy-Metal-AngelXx- I heard that colored trumpets don't produce the same sound as the others and the sound's not as pretty. But I saw this awesome blue one and a black one. Both of which I want to get. =) But I have to buy those myself and need a well paying job first. So that's not going to happen until after college. I also have a friend who has a red trumpet. yeah the colored instruments are crap...If you want a good sounding trumpet you get a Stradavarious like me ^_^ lol. mine was a sale from some kid who played it once and then was like "i dont wanna play this anymore" and sold it XDD i was like "psh...idiot..." so i lucked out on that. otherwise they run like $5,000? i think. lol. then i have my original one. its a Bach, but its gold and i need to get a new mouthpiece...cause its like 6 years old...and dented. XDD lol I do have a strad. ^.^ (It be my most prized possesion.) And I have a Yamaha I use for marching season. I got my strad used and in REALLY good shape for $1,700. They run from $2-3000 from what I understand. lol So how much did you get yours for?

lol. I got mine for like $1,500. lol it was like a really really really really...(5 min. later) good deal. ^_^ lol. but the kid played it for like a day and he didnt like it. So it's his loss and my gain. XDD gah i wish i coulda hit that kid for giving up so easily...but ah well. ^_^ i use my strad for marching band sometimes...especially the preformances cause it looks nicer and its always clean with no smudges or anything...XD i always wear gloves when i play it.

I lease-to-own a professional Cannonball! It's silver! It's stone series! It's tre tre cute! :3 It's not as good as others for marching, But it's kinda cool for concert and jazz! I got him the weekend before concert MPA!
His name is Miles Louis McTrumpetface, Senior. And he is gay. His gay lover is Robert, an underclassman's trumpet. Trumpets are for the love.

I have a really crappy brass Yamaha that cost about 50 dollars that I used for my first year of marching band (and my sixth and seventh grade band), and now I use a silver Yamaha that I got for $500 dollars from England. It was running for about 1700 over here in the States!

who cares about mouthpiece size? all it does is restrict the amount of air that flows through the smaller you get is all. not that big of a deal, its not gonna change the way you play or anything.

lol. yeah and plus it doesnt change your sound any. only you as the musician can change the sound. ^_^ XDD and i consider myself good for being 1st chair in the symphonic band. lol....i hate chair placement tests though...for the one that i did this year we had to play all 12 major scales, 2 octaves or one but you had to do it twice, in under 3 minutes and all i did was slur it all up and down and i got 45 seconds XDD its like cheating but it wasnt cheating. lol.

You guys actually have to go through chair placement tests? XD that sucks! At my school our director just assigns the chairs...which sucks even more, because the rest of us never get a chance.. >.>
Btw- I have a Bach trumpet with a 3C mouthpiece ^_^
