So.. Raumias wasn't afraid of falling, which made this task a lot less daunting. However, she didn't really know how to fly, so this was going to be a little bit difficult.
She jumped into the glider, not knowing what the hell was going on at all, and then right before it slid into the abyss she realized it was definitely doing none of the flying thing, and so she bailed.
And watched it slide into the darkness.

Untz untz untz it's flying tiiime. Nope, ok.
Maybe the next glider would work, yes? Maybe she just picked the wrong one. Maybe this other one, when she hopped in it and it slid towards the edge and she almost fell off with it again.
Let's not do that.

She finally figured out how to wind the launcher up, and did so perfectly, with exactly enough force to launch her glider smoothly into the air. Wow that was a lot better than just sitting in it and hoping it wouldn't plunge her into the unknown.

The glider, without its controls, meant that Raum discovered how to shift it when she used her weight-- it was just an accident, really, as she was kind of uncomfortable in the damp air so she moved to remedy her position. It didn't particularly help her comfort level, but she did know how to steer now.
She also kind of heard voices. And water. And... well.

Her previous moment, when she felt joy, had led her with assurance; she hadn't worried about pretty much anything. She'd felt as though someone was smiling down at her, and she couldn't bring herself to feel an ounce of fear. Once more, she felt reassured.
The journey could be so much worse, she felt; at least she was smiling peacefully to herself, gliding with contentment. It was like a vacation from all the fighting she'd been through recently.

Thean found herself at the cliffs once more. She felt at peace as she went to the gliders and tried to launch.
But she must have turned the apparatus too tight because it didn't work. Huh.

Let me be your wiiings.
Raum was so happy that she just wanted to laugh, for no reason. She just felt so light-- until she came across a wisp of fog. Her face fell. Fog was bad in her experience, and sure enough, the second she touched it she began to panic.
There was no way flying was as easy as she thought it was; she must have been falling this whole time, doing it wrong. She felt the fear of someone gripped by terror of error in the skies.
She'd been so happy, and now she was just afraid-- it didn't seem to be founded, however, as she had begun to traverse the skies with relative ease at the beginning, and she hadn't run astray.
