Azrael let Miluiel go ahead reluctantly, but not far so he could move in front of her if he had to. This however, would prove unnecessary. Azrael saw the sword pierce through Karen, and nearly fell to his knees. Karen had always been like one of his sisters, he could barely tell her from his blood sisters and brother... but what had made her go so astray in the end. There was nothing he could say however, he could only watch.
Mazzia had just dashed through the entrance flap in time to see Karen get skewered. Shana had told her that it was in fact Karen who had attacked Helena, and would have gone for Miluiel, but she still felt conflicting emotions. She had been her best friend, she couldn't help but feel something in her break. But she didn't know whether it was her deathblow that troubled her more, or the fact that the part of her that had been her best friend had likely been dead for even longer. She immediately, almost involuntarily went to Helena. She started to delve and saw what she needed to do. "Shana... help me... remove the knife slowly, I will heal that wound as you pull it out, to make sure as little blood escapes.
Shana nodded and went over to help Mazzia. She slowly removed the knife, while Mazzia's healing energy closed up and healed the wound as the blade left Helena's body.

Helena breathed luckily, but it seemed laborious as she still had the barrier up over the village. She refused to drop it despite the grave injuries on her body. Her voice would weakly call out for Tanis as a free hand would open up to grab his hand. She’d regain consciousness as she looked at Azrael. “Azrael…something she said…she didn’t want either you or Tanis…to know happiness…” Helena would remain conscious as she looked at Tanis. She hoped her message reach him as she looked at Tanis. Her eyes were weak as she fought to remain conscious. "Tanis...I love you..."

Miluiel gasped, feeling her stomach flip. She turned back to Azrael and looked into his face. "Azrael, please, come on." She said trying to lead him away. She could already tell the pain forming within him. Oh lord she felt awful, and numb herself especially after Helena spoke.
Tanis fell to his knees, his sword falling at his side with a loud clatter. He felt strange, and scared. He had killed someone, he felt like nothing before. Not even war felt like this. The anger still burned deeply within him. But this person he had known. He balled his sword hand into a fist and crossed his arm over his chest. He bowed, praying to his God.

Much to Loki's dismay....there was no spell, no enchantment she held over the poor elf. The elf had followed her and done her bidding of his own free will! Ruma enacted a barrier of shadows as Loki's spell went off, however the dagger managed to get through and hit her right arm. "Dear me. I have work to do. I have no more time to spare." Her eyes flashed a purple and she began chanting loudly. The ground shook and rumbled.
Clawing their way to the surface came the undead. "I leave you with some toys to play with little one." She grinned. "Bye-bye!" Ruma waved and fled the forest.
"I.....I...." He couldn't bear to tell them he had followed Ruma freely. Instead Dhaunithra smiled. "Thank you! How may I ever repay you all?" He suddenly felt the ground rumble and turned slightly paler than he already was. "By the Gods...! She wouldn't!" He shuddered.

Sehlis Nutae Shera only nodded as she looked at Celeron to hint she failed in healing Kayla’s mind. She succeeded only in healing the body but not the mind.
"Well we shouldn't wait to awfully long out here in the wilds. There is a town no more then a few hours walk north of here. We could take Kayla with us and maybe someone will recognize her there." Celeron said taking the hint. "That is if you don't mind traveling with angels my child." "Oh no sir company would be grand thank you. I fear being alone out here by myself." Kayla said as she curtsied slightly.

Shera would nod. “Let us go the moment I have my energy back. I used quite a bit on you.” She’d smile at Kayla just like she was a daughter. It warmed her heart. She’d then look at Celeron and gently lay her head against his chest resting a bit.

Azrael nodded. "Yes... I need to look away. Oh, mother... I hope Shinn doesn't walk in on this..." He said. He looked to Mazzia and Shana. "You two... know what to do." He said, and then allowed Miluiel to lead him away. He felt weak, and didn't want to see anymore of it.
Mazzia suppressed a sniffle and started to heal Helena's internal injuries and restore lost blood. "Shana... go to the Spirit Lounge... and get a tree seed... for her burial." She said as she worked, forcing back tears. She had to be strong, for her pack's dignity.
Shana nodded and crept from the room quickly, trying to her own emotions intact.
Veral looked at Laiza. "You two can go through my separation field. You should take him inside it so that he can have distance from that Dragon if she returns. I can take care of this!" He said drawing his scythe and twirling it over his head.

“Be…strong Mazzia…” Helena managed to say this before falling back unconscious. The power of the pain her body had was too much for her. She wouldn’t be lost to them but she would need time as she laid there. She needed to recover as she kept her hands open hoping that one of them would be taken by Tanis. She loved him dearly and knew he would need her now more than ever. She’d fight even though physically she had become weak from the two attacks. Helena would use what magic she had to help Mazzia with the healing but could do no more than this.

"No Veral, you go in. They trust you and If Loki fails then I need to be here. Also we need the strong protecting the village." Laiza waited for Dhaunithra to get out of earshot. "I don't trust him. I lied about a tie to that dragon person, there was none, he has followed her willingly from what I can tell. Can you please watch him for me?" Laiza asked. "Besides, If I help save this village, I might get invited to the wedding!" Laiza pulled her armor out of her pack and put it on, the black and red glowing. "Do you love me?" She called to the winds.
Loki ran after Ruma, weaving through the undead. Suddenly a large group burst from the trees, It was Laiza's Devotees. "Hey Bravas! Take 'em down!" He called to them. The Devotees fell upon the undead with a ferocity matching only that of a person protecting a lover, paladins fighting with skeletons, demons with angels, elfs with werewolves, soldiers with mercenaries. Loki sprinted, he had a bit of Ruma's magic from the earlier contact, to him, that was better than a scent to a bloodhound.

Miluiel took him back into the family den. She helped him sit so he wouldn't fall. "Would you like me to go look for Shinn?" She asked knowing how awful it would be for the cub to find out what happened. "Or would you rather I stay here?" She asked rubbing his shoulder.
Tanis dully had a sense of what was going on. He looked over at Mazzia, and at Helena, "How are you feeling?" he asked very softly, his own voice sounded so far away.

Helena would awaken through Mazzia’s efforts as she looked at Tanis. “I’m sorry…” She whispered these words almost like it was her fault that this happened. She didn’t want the wolf village to be torn like this especially because of Karen’s actions. She was weakened extremely now even with Mazzia doing what she was doing. Her doubts were now on being able to stand long enough to make it to the wedding. She had hopes of attending there and wishing Miluiel and Azrael the best.

Tanis shook his head. "It was not your fault, you were simply the unfortunate one who fell victim to someone who has changed, for the worst." Tanis bowed his head. "Do not feel bad." He repeated feeling like a demon himself.

“And you the same Tanis…” Helena would cough a little as she struggled to breathe. “I can’t…breathe.” Helena looked at Mazzia and Tanis as she struggled to breathe. It was hard as she figured it was the loss of blood that caused this and the internal damage to her body. She knew Mazzia could do the work, but the damage could have already been done.

Tanis watched her, his heart breaking. "Helena, don't leave. I couldn't stand it if you... left, please hold my hand, and don't let go." He said in somber tones. He didn't know how he could help her. He felt useless.

"No... don't do this!" Mazzia said as she started to use another delving to see what was wrong. She started to channel again, trying to get what she thought was the problem, but the stress of the situation combined with what had just happened was leading into slight frustration.
Azrael sighed. "Lets go find him together... I think a walk before this evening would help... Perhaps I could ask the elders if they would come to the house to deliver the ritual." He suggested, thinking of brighter things. "That way, if Helena's wounds prove troublesome, she will not have to stress her body."
