"You can try," Chris said smiling and looking back at her all of the sudden he was knocked out of his set as Thunder ran under a tree with a low hanging branch. He feel hard onto the ground and lay there motionless.

Chris laid there for a moment before he started to breath again, he moaned in pain and tried to sit up but fell back down, "Yeah I hear you, that hurt." He looked at his hand and said, "I saved your hat here you go." he then held it out to her.

Nanina couldn't find her voice, so she just looked from her hat to Chris's face. FInally, she burst out laghing. "You saved my hat?" Wiping the tears from her eyes, she put on a serious face and asked, "Where does it hurt?"

((Okai.))
Nanina put a hand on Chris's back to help steady him. "Oh no you don't. You've got a concussion, probably. Great! Second one this week." "Does it hurt when I do this?" Nanina sked as she gentally began proding Chris's arm with her fingers.

( Sorry I haven't been posting x_x The ghost of my social life snuck up on me and didn't let me go for a few days, and summer school is excruciating. )
Xavier followed and put his jeans back on, but he was still shirtless - it was getting too hot to put it on anyway. Heck, it was summertime.
Lady trotted beside Shadow, almost completely in step with the other mare. It was beginning to feel more and more like they were somehow related, or had some sort of very strong bond --
Xavier made a strange noise when he saw Chris and Nanina, and Chris looked hurt. Quickly dismounting and making sure Lady stayed where she was, he went over with a very worried expression. "You guys, what happened?" His voice was soft in his sudden fear, going over so that he was a couple of yards away from the other two.
Kahlilia smiled wearily, petting Benvolio to make sure that his temperature wasn't rising too much. He was sweating, but it wasn't enough to put him in any jeapordy. "I guess so," She replied softly after pausing. "He has a ton of energy to spare." After she said that, she didn't know why she did. Well, it was true and could have a tie to his running ability, but what if it became abnormal or dangerous? She could only hope things wouldn't get sour.
Hesitating for a second to make sure it was 'clear' she walked Ben over to a clear part of the pond and let him drink. Even so, she was inspecting it in what looked like a curious way. When she looked back up at Phoenix and Roman, she smiled again lightly. "Okay," She said evenly with a nod. "Do you want me to time you?"

((OOC: ^ Story of my life. XD Speaking of which, I probably won't be on at all this weekend. Horse show FTW! As a side note, I plan to suck because the only colour ribbon I don't have out of the six they give out is pink for sixth place, and I want one. xd ))
Roman smiled faintly. "I can see that. The guy is still prancing. Just look at him. I bet if you pushed him for all he could give - not right now, obviously, but sometime - he could beat that time." Stroking Phoenix's neck, he considered Kahlilia's offer. "Well, I was...you know, that might be a good idea," he admitted. "I want to see how fast he can jump those propped-up logs while still jumping clean. Time matters, after all. At least in jumper courses it does."
He unclipped his watch and handed it to Kahlilia. "There's the stop and start button," he said, pointing it out. "You hit it to start, and then again when you want to stop it. That's about the only thing that really matters on that baby. It'll do the rest without help. Tell me when you want me to go."
He trotted Phoenix once around the pond to get him moving up and ready to go, and then nodded at Kahlilia. "Whenever you're ready," he called.

( Awesome 8D ! )
There was a small ghost of a giggle and Kahlilia looked back over towards the pond again. Remembering ...
The girl obediently took the watch and observed it with interest as Roman pointed out the buttons, looking from him to the object. She always was so curious despite herself, like a baby that had just learned to walk and was adjusting to the sudden new scenery around them. "Do you think Phoenix surprised us the other day because he wanted us to know?" The words were out before she knew it, spoken in a light and airy tone of voice. Roman had said that maybe the horses could read their minds ; was it true?
For the time being, she clipped the watch around her wrist and noticed her teeny wrist barely kept it on straight, but she held it with her other hand. One finger was close to the start button when she looked back up at the two again, flashing a suddenly bright smile. Sometimes, she felt her moods resembled the wind, or maybe the water. Essential to survival, but in some way, still so mysterious and knowing? "Alright," She called back. "Go - good luck!" Benvolio whickered again at Phoenix and Kahlilia laughed. Was it true that they were wishing one another good luck as the other two were doing?

"Ouch!" Chris said when Nanina began probing his arm. "Yeah that hurts alot."
Summer saw her brother on the ground and heard his yell of pain. She quickly dismounted holding onto to Fangs, "Chris, Nanina are you two alright what happened?" she asked a worried look on her face. She stood next to Xaiver looked down at her brother not sure what to do.
Chris looked at his sister and Xavier, "Well I stole Nanina's hat and rode away and she gave chase then a tree branch knocked me off Thunder and I think I broke my arm and Nanina says I might have a concussion." Chris then smiled up at his sister and closed his eyes.

"I'll go get her right quick," Summer said. She then turned to Xavier, "Hold Fangs for me," she then laid the snake onto his shoulder then mounted Shadow and gallop back to the ranch yelling, "Shannon! Someone is hurt."
Chris only smiled at Nanina, "If I go into a coma you gonna come see me in the hospital?" he asked her but he keep his eyes open.

((OOC: Well, no sixth places, unfortunately - not enough people in my class. D8 Cleared first three times, second once and third once. Not bad, considering how excited the horse got.))
Roman eased Phoenix into a canter. "All right. Start the timer when Phoenix clears the first jump," he told her. He circled the pond once to get the horse into a steady pace, and then turned him towards the various logs that were propped around. He had to wonder if this was a cross-country course Shannon had set up. But of course that was ridiculous - no one had time to do things like jumping on a ranch, or else someone would have discovered Phoenix's talents a long time ago.
The horse was tossing his head, trying to pick up speed despite Roman's soothing hand on the rein. After a while, Roman let him go. Phoenix's speed immediately picked up - obviously the stallion was excited. He raced the first two, but steadied up by the third, and by the time the course was finished he seemed quite relaxed. It had been about seven jumps, and considering his racing, Roman figured the stallion had probably gotten it done in about thirty-five seconds.
As he trotted back to Kahlilia, he answered her earlier question. "I wouldn't put it past this guy," he replied. "Phoenix knows what he wants, and I think he knows how to get it, too. So how'd he do for time?"
