The running was going much smoother than when Rhaim had first started out, leading him to believe that breathing through the nose was just one technique that he'd have to work on alot. However that wasn't the only thing that he'd have to work on. He could feel his legs burning more and more with each step that he took in this new staying primarily on the toes style. Though it was very effective at moving his body quicker with less effort, it was much more strenuous since it was so new to him. However this would be a test for himself to see how long he could push through this style until it became to much for him to handle. He didn't mind giving in to the pain of this one running style since he was certain that it wouldn't cause him to quit running altogether. Though he was certain that if he didn't transition properly he'd likely end up tripping over himself and landing flat on his face.

Though it was still getter tougher, Rhaim continued to press through the pain. The longer he could hold on, the easier it would be for him when he finally returned home. The thought of him being able to walk through his door as an entirely new person that had grown so much in his first day at the academy would be great. He wouldn't say anything about it to anyone since that require effort on his part and his sisters wouldn't care anyways. So with these new hopes and goals in mind the young boy pressed onward with his squinting eyes. He had finally made it to the halfway mark of his self imposed ten laps around the training area. All he had to do at this point was to do exactly what he had just done a second time. Though in theory that was simple, in actuality his muscles were getting more sore and staying up on his toes was taking its toll on him.

Just as he had predicted, Rhaim was unable to continue with the style of running on the toes. Also in line with what he had been thinking he found that when he changed his step suddenly his body came crashing to the ground with a violent thud. so the young Nara picked himself back up and wiped off all of the dirt and grass and such from his person before he began running again. In a very strange way he was kind of glad that he was able to get a quick breather, despite the cost of it. As he started off running again he focused on controlling his open mouth breathing as well as his arm movements and his stride. His whole focus out of maintaining himself as such was to be a more eficient runner that could last longer. This kind of training would invaluable to someone such as himself who wanted to be on a long range recon focused team.

Unfortunately it was at this moment that Mother Nature decided to play a rather cruel joke on her son. Right before Reza let go of his needle a slight wind passed through the meadow, over the tall grass and into the trees where Reza was practicing his throwing. The wind caused the tree’s leafs to move causing a brief break in the canopy of the leaves. It was only a moment but that was all the sun needed. Bright morning sunlight broke through and shined on Reza’s face, temporarily blinding him at the exact moment he threw the needle.

Reza heard the needle hit something and prayed that it was at least not another person. After he regained his vision he looked around for his needle not quite finding it right away. After a moment of searching he saw that he had thrown his needle and yes it hit something, but no, thankfully, it was not alive. The needle had imbedded itself firmly into a tree trunk about five feet left of the wooden dummy.

Reza face flushed crimson with embarrassment and hoped that no one else had noticed his blunder. Trying to shake of his embarrassment he reached in the pouch and pulled out another needle. He took his stance and once more sent the power through his arm and into his hand. He whipped the needle towards the training dummy.

Reza frown dismally as once again the needled missed the target. It dipped down at the last second and stuck into the ground at the feet of the target. Reza stared at the target for a moment and felt the distinct impression that the target was laughing at him despite that fact that it was an inanimate object and therefore had no mouth with which to laugh. Reza decided that revenge would be a suitable purpose for the conniving target and began to formulate a plan. In the end he decided that later tonight he would return to the meadow and burn the target. Of course this was just a fantasy in his head and he had no intention of actually carrying out the plan…Reza was too scared. In the end he decided that he would just through little pieces of metal at the target instead. He pulled another senbon needle out of his pocket and slung it at the target trying to catch it by surprise.

Target Practice
Each student will be given a basic set of 6 shurikens and 3 kunai knives (or 15 senbon) and taken outside to the wooden dummies for target practice. They're expected to aim for 31 total points.

Reza watched as the needle imbedded itself in the shoulder of the target, “Hah! Take that you wooden fiend.” He shouted to his supreme embarrassment.

He quickly looked around the field to see if anyone had noticed his little out burst and was relieved to see that everyone else was too absorbed in their practices to notice. He pulled another needle and was about to throw it when he realized exactly what had happened. I must be going insane. I just insulted a wooden target because I thought that it was laughing at me. He threw the needle while shaking his head in disappointment with himself.

After his trip up Rhaim found that he seemed to have the same beginning energy level that he had on his first lap. However he was not about to celebrate this fact since he knew that perhaps his stamina would not last as long as it had on his first few laps. He had been rather fortuneate that he'd been able to hang in so long and so well in his first real training run. It was strange to the boy to think that all of the normal actions a child makes on a daily basis become training when one is made to do them repeatedly and harder. The young boy's amazement however was not going to be the thing that would carry him around another lap, it would be his feet that would that. And to make sure that his feet were successful in their duties of such he had to focus his attention solely on them and the obstacles before them.

"Huh?" Kazumei said confused to what Conan was trying to say. Just turning around and closing his eyes he began to count to ten like always in his head. "What at weird senju..." he thought to himself and he continued to count to ten. Kazumei had his ears out listening for the slightest move possible. Finally reaching ten he opened his eyes and turned around to see no one there. Taking a slow deep breathe he began searching through the treetops. Scanning the tops breifly he walked up the tree looking around for Conan. Jumping from branch to branch he reached the top of the trees and looked out apon the Konohagakure. Taking in the marvelous landscape he got back down into the trees and began starting to search more closer to the ground. Grabbing hold of branch for dropping several feet Kazumei had no idea where he was at. "Would he really hide this low to the ground?" Kazumei thought as he finally jumped down to the ground and began walking the meadows ground level. Checking the bushes as he passed by or shaking the piles of leaves. Kazumei then came across a large tall grass meadow. Walking through the high grass he pushed down the grass searching for that baka Conan.

Conan was crouched down in the grass for a while. It seamed like Kazumei hadn’t come near him at all. At least not for a while, Conan herd footsteps around him. Listing Conan figured out that they were in front of him. Slowly Conan peaked up only to see Kazumei searching with his back turned to Conan. Smiling Conan jumped out of his hiding place and again latched onto to Kazumei for a large hug. Releaceing his grip Conan stuck out his tongue and said “ gotch ya Kazumei-kun. And that means were done ” Conan both laughed and jumped as soon as he finished saying this. It was fun playing games with the other students and he did love it so. The only thing he need to do in order to finish all the assignments was to learn the last jutsu. Calming down a bit Coan looked over and saw Rahim running. Shouting with a wave included “ Rhaim-Rhaim we finished we can all do something together now if you want…or you can keep running…” spinning back around to face Kazumei again conan smiled “ so Kazumei-kun what do you wanna do now?” Conan wondered what Kazumei would say after that interesting game of hide and seek.

Rhaim was picking himself up from yet a second landing flat on his face as he heard Conan calling out for him. The idea of working with the other two boys had both advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand he would be able to glean off of someone else and get advice for anything that he was doing wrong. But on the other hand that would mean that he'd have to interact with other people, never the prefered method. He gave a half hearted wave back to Conan, "I'll be there once I'm done."

He figured that that was a fair enough response, after all he had started a workout that he wanted to finish and he only had four more laps to go. Well he'd be done with those laps soon enough, so long as he could keep from tripping over himself again. And so the young Nara took off running again, maintaining his form and stride while monitering his breathing rate carefully.

And four more laps is what the poor boy still had left to do as he brought himself to his feet once more. Rhaim knew that he was trying to concentrate too hard on his form and technique, and not enough on where he was going and what was in his way. At this rate he'd likely finish the laps sometime in the evening and with plenty of scrapes and wounds all about himself. However that course of events was defineately preferrable to him giving up on the training for the excuse of smoeone else calling him. He had taken the time to start the training, so he would definately take the time to end the training. And ending the training in a failure was by no means an option for the young lad. So he stepped off with his right foot leading again. He kept his arms loosely in a ninety degree angle and stayed as far forward on his toes as his worn calves would allow, which wasn't much. A major difference though was that he payed a much higher attention to the ground in front of him.

Rhaim pulled himself up from the ground yet again, spitting out some dirt and grass from his mouth as he came to his knees. The boy sighed a little as falling on his face was getting a bit old, at least when he was younger he had an excuse to not being able to walk well. The fact that his third attempt to do a seventh lap had ended in him eating dirt was quite embarrassing. However he was determined to finish his laps if it killed him, which at this point it looked like it just might. He had to find some sort of balance between focusing on his form and focusing on the path before him. The boy was actually surprised that after running more than half of his laps already, that his body didn't simply follow the same track and avoid obstacles naturally. Then again he probably hadn't gone exactly the same way everytime, since he was trying out different styles of running.

One more lap down and Rhaim was showing no signs of stopping, though that didn't mean that the roots in the ground or some low hanging branch wouldn't cause him to stop early anyway. He had experienced enough pain from falling and tripping for him to be quite content with not doing either again. Not to mention the sooner he finished his run, the sooner he could go see what Conan wanted and end the fact that the two were waiting for him. Rhaim didn't like the idea that the two boys were waiting for him specifically, but at the same time he hadn't asked them to wait. So either they needed Rhaim for something that only he could properly do, or they just needed an extra body. The second reason made the most sense to the running Nara. A small trickle of sweat began sliding down his forehead and was quickly swiped away by his left hand. He was quite surprised that it took this long for his to start sweating.

Without a doubt the last lap that he had completed was Rhaims fastest and probably his best feeling. Everything about it had been right, his form, his stride, his breathing, his mindset, and most of all the fact that he hadn't tripped over anything. If he could just keep that level of confidence and performance up he knew that the rest of this training would go by quick. However he knew that he was only doing well about half of the time, which meant that there really was no way to predict how long it would take him to finish the last two laps of his exercise plan. He had already decided that once he finished this and whatever Conan wanted from him, he'd finish up his assignments for the academy. That way he could do whatever training he needed to without worry of whether or not he'd be able at least to attempt the upcoming exams. However if he recalled his syllabus correctly, there actually wasn't a whole lot left for him to do to be ready; some taijutsu, the rope jutsu, and the Kawarimi.

Rhaim had only one more lap to complete and he could feel all of the excitement and eagerness to finish it swell up inside of him. Though he was sore and tired from the previous laps, he gained a sort of second wind simply by knowing that he was so near to the end of his running. It was the same nervous glee that he got right before he came to the end of any of his taskings. Whether those taskings were given to him by someone else or by himself never seemed to matter. Both types seemed to be equally as important to the boy. This was very evident by the grueling look in his eyes as he pumped his arms harder and faster in an attempt to drive his legs on just as hard and fast. His key motivation however actually came from the two boys waiting on him. He knew how much he didn't like waiting for others, so he only assumed that they felt the same about waiting for him.

Finally completed with his running, Rhaim retrieved his shirt and pulled it back on. After a quick stretch and rubbing of the bruises from his falls he made his way over to Conan and the Uchiha boy, who's name he could not remember. Hands in his pockets and eyes squinting as always, "So what did you want?"
