Notaro grinned, eyes glinting as he spotted the sword fragment. There we are, what they had all hoped to see since entering this forsaken place.

The world was about to get a whole lot more interesting.

"An interesting proposition, princeling..." he mocked. "I think I'll actually take you up on your offer. Although it has been fun with my little pet, I'd have to say getting the sword put back together takes priority at the moment..." He reached into his trenchcoat pocket, before pulling out a small case. Never hurt to be prepared, he was glad he had conned the lab tech into making a few extra batches, just in case. Seemed he would need them.

"Brayden, halt," he commanded to the fire-wielder to stop his attack. Negotiations first, carnage later.

Pulling out another syringe, Notaro held it up, golden liquid inside glinting with the light of the lava pools that dotted the cavern. "Pass the fragment, I give you this. Try anything funny, I'll smash it, kill you, and take the fragment anyway. You're just lucky you caught me in a good mood."

"Honestly, I'd love to see you try," Notaro snickered at Kaya's threat.

"Well, then, I'd say it was a pleasure doing business with you, but we both know that's false," Notaro smirked, taking the blade piece. As promised he placed the vial in Kaya's other hand, before passing on the blade fragment to the waiting cloaked figure, who hurried to the altar to begin the process of reforming the blade.

The sounds grew louder as Henna approached the vicinity of where he was unknowingly headed. He zigzagged through so many different caverns, it was hard to tell left from right, top from bottom, and yet, the desire to reach this unknown room, was overpowering. Something really strong was tugging at every sense Henna had. He couldn't feel anything, but his own feet moving along the rocks along the path.

Having run for several minutes, Henna still continued onwards and by this time he was panting heavily. Sweat was falling down his face, scraping the few cuts he had received from his last battle. He didn't even notice his sleeve had been split open and a shallow cut had been driven into his pale skin. It had stopped bleeding, though with his heart pumping blood at the rate it was to fuel his nonstop marathon, the cut was ready to burst open again.

"Tsk tsk, so untrusting," Notaro feigned insult as he crossed his arms before him. "I kept my end of the bargain, just so you know. That vial will cure him of the ailments of the mind that plague him, currently. In a normal person's bloodstream, it does nothing more than float around aimlessly, so it will have no ill effects on you unless you end up getting an infection from the needle p-rick {{Edit: XD Apparently that word together is filtered by Gaia}}. Which I wouldn't mind wishing on you, just so you know," he laughed.

The smirk was still present, though, so although for once in his life Notaro was telling the truth, it was all but obvious that he was still hiding something.

"But what have you to lose? After all, I don't believe a mindless doll would make too good of a boyfriend," he cackled. "He would make for a good plaything, I suppose... mindlessly obeying every order you give him, no matter what."

"And how do you think he'll live with the fact that he attacked you?" Notaro pressed, sneer growing with interest. "He's such a gentle boy, I'm sure that very fact alone would be enough to crush him... Oh yes, my little serum will bring your precious Brayden back, however, there are things that even a brainwashing serum can't erase."

As the fluid entered his veins, Brayden blinked, shifting to pull away fromt the slight tinge of the needle, however, as his mind cleared to allow just a faint part of his own consciousness back in, he held himself still, until the injection was complete.

God he was tired of needles...

Suddenly feeling weak and woozy, but thanking his lucky stars that he could still feel anything at this point, Brayden wobbled, fighting for a moment to stay upright. It took a moment, but soon his eyes shot open in panic, as he stumbled backwards to scramble away from Kaya.

"G-get away!" he warned, not fully realizing that the nightmare was over, still fearing that he'd lash out at his partner. Flustered and panicked, he fell, tripping over a rough patch on the cavern floor and tumbling to the dirt.

"I.... I don't want to hurt you..." he murmured, tears leaking from his eyes before he shut them tightly, trying to will them away, "Stay away..."
