Garreth looked up from what he was writing. "Not so much. The usual, really, except that most of our students are untrained in the ways of etiquette this year." He closed his ink bottle and sat back in his chair. "The staff problem is as follows. We only have Miss Estreyus and Mr. Akakage right now. Mr. Stockhold managed to get himself caught up in something, causing his tardiness. He still has not arrived. I'm teaching a class this term, and much to everyone's, and I think will be even his own dismay, I'm going to try to talk Horatus into teaching a class as well." He leaned forward again. "And Karaviv, perhaps I could convince you to teach Algebra and Nutrition until Mr. Stockhold arrives? As usual, we are not starting any of the weapon classes until a week from tomorrow."

(OOC: work isn't full time, and I'm more or less nocturnal when I don't have a morning shift the next day. And I'll teach those subjects till a replacement comes along.)
Karariv sighed, this was not what she had had in mind, "I don't see a problem, might as well let the students realise who's in charge before we let them play with sharp pointy objects." she paused for a second.
"Well since it seems I am teaching I will go and prepare, if students get lost looking for the classroom, it'll be the one with a part of my collection in it. Don't worry I won't use them on the students, well not until they think they can wield a sword with any skill anyway." she added the last part with a small smile.
"I'll see you at dinner, 8 as usual I presume." she then turned and left the room heading back to her own office.
Once there she locked the door and took her bags through to her quaters. They were attached to her office so she could easily move things bewteen the two.
On the bookcase in her office was a collection of textbooks for all the core subjects of the school, they were kept there for times like these.
She pulled down the appropriate ones and checked the contents.

((Oh no! I missed all of it! Now Nyx is going to start of badly, great...))
Nyx Bell strode casually up to the front door of the House of Bricks School of Weaponry. Her hooves made an awful clatter on the cobblestones, attracting many a passer-by.
Few people ever see a centaur, and many stopped and stared, mouths agape at her sleek horse body and human torso. She ignored these stares. she had been getting them from everyone she passed on her journey from the great woods of Selas to here.
She thought about how the clans were uprising against hers, and how she would be expected to l;earn much here and come back and settle things. She sighed at looked down at the ground. How could she be expected to learn anything here when she was the only centaur, she doubted that there were any proper accommodations for her.
Nyx glanced up at the steps to the main door, great, steps. Nyx prayed that she wouldn't have to go up many steps tp get to her dorm or classes. She had been appalled enough to find that she couldn't have living quarters outside. The school was only the second building she would have to go inside, all of her life, she had lived outside in the forest.

Nyx awkwardly climbed up the steps to the door and went inside. The door seemed to close shut with a louder than average clang, sentencing her to be trapped within these walls.
Her breathing became faster, it felt almost as if the walls were closing in on her, constricting her even more. She hurriedly backed up to the door and found her hands were trembling to much to open it.
Being inside a building was unnatural for a centaur, and many found that they were claustrophobic after the experience, Nyx was no different. She called out in a strangled voice, "Hello?" She was to afraid to move out of the room she was in, for fear of being trapped in a even smaller room.
She desperately prayed that someone heard her.

Garreth poked his head out from his office. A centaur... "Just a moment." he said ,going back to check his roster. He came back out, holding his list. "You are Nyx Bell, I presume?"

[[ Hi guys, I just joined and got accepted ^.^ hope you don't mind me diving in. ]]
The door Nyx had just come through opened again, and two beautiful, well-dressed strangers blew in. "Oh!" The taller, redheaded one said, her hands flying to cover her mouth. "Hello!" She blushed and dropped into a graceful curtsey. "Are we interrupting something?" she murmured, though it echoed in the cavernous entrance hall.
The slightly shorter of the two, with blue hair and a boyish face, shook his head. "I don't think so... this is where we're supposed to be, right?"

((The replacement technique is basic for any ninja, not just in Naruto...))
Getting up from his slumber he looked at the time. "Its morning, maybe I should head to the classroom." Doing his normal morning routine he finally got dressed and decided to walk down to the classrooms than teleport like he usually does. Teme decided to stay in the room and sleep some more and just let Akakage do his own business. Passing by the office he saw a centaur talking to Garreth. Also seeing two other students both male but the other looked too much like a girl for his liking. Deciding he still had time he just watched the two converse. That student is probably hiding his gender. I guess I'll let it be but still what good reason can there be to dress as a girl...I miss the simpler days.

Varnis had woken up in his bed, looking over to his side Raiden had been laying there, waiting for him to wake up. He rolled to the side of his bed, sat up, and sighed. "Already morning?" He had said to Raiden, then he stood, and walked over to his armor.
"A new day, that I have to see Harotus." Raiden shivered as he had said that name. Varnis put on his armor, and walked over to where his Katana was. Looked at it for a second before picking it up, then he put it in its sheath on his side of his armor.
"Raiden come." Raiden looked up, and followed Varnis as he had walked out of the dorm room.

Taking this opportunity to get in the good books with one of the head of staff he sighed. Looking at the new comers he took out two forms of paper and a clipboard.
"You two I want you to tell me your names, what training you've done and what weapon you specialize in." speaking like some sort of robot with no emotion in his voice.

Garreth groaned. He wasn't the type to reprimand for tardiness. That was Horatus' specialty, but now that there were three late students, he needed to say something.
"For future reference," he said to the three, "tardies are not accepted here. Attendance is ten percent of your letters."

"Mariye Altere." She curtseyed once more, inclining her head gracefully. "And, um, I only have basic sword training..."
Odyn let Mariye blush herself into silence, then bowed. "I am Prince Odyn of Magria, and our journey was delayed. We've only just arrived." He wasn't entirely sure how well-known he would be, and he certainly didn't want any special treatment for being Prince - well, maybe he did. At least a little respect. Or even a little recognition. Something?

Varnis had entered the court yard again, looking around for Akakage, making sure he didn't get attack by him again, and holding his had on his Katana. Varnis went straight to the main office, seeing if anyone was in there. "Hello?" He spoke out in a clear voice, waiting for a response.
