(( Yah I got to 100 and gave up ;_; the event is just too dragged out for my liking - especially since I have such a short attention span.

You want to have Aeria give names to Reza and Kaya? Then Gizzie can name Remiel and Snitch. ))

He glanced at her with love showing clearly in his eyes. The word too was strange to hear, for though Haku and Lera had been like parents to him he had never known what it was like to rear a family, to be truly connected to those he loved. It was a magical feeling that was for sure, and if it came to it and it grew unsafe here in the packlands then he knew...somehow he knew that everything would be okay. They were survivers after all.

It...strange but...but good, very good. I no want it any other way. He whispered, eyes trailing over their young.

What I think? He blinked and canted his head, turning his golden eyes once more to the four little bundles of fur. They continued along the line until they reached and settled upon that of the youngest and a fond smile curved his maw. When I still in birth pack I hear beta wolf speak of tale. It of wolf with wings who flew sky and bring hope. He tugged at his memories and finally found the name. Remiel... He touched the youngest son with his nose and inhaled, youngest one Remiel? What Aeria think?

((Sure, sounds good. :3))

I think it's a beautiful name, Gizmo. She watched as the tiny pup stretched and yawned, curling up beside her to nap. It suits him wonderfully, Gizmo. Aeria tried out the new name a few times before turning her head to look at their only daughter.

We should call her Kaya, she said quietly, studying the little female. There was something about her that tugged at Aeria, but she couldn't put a paw on it. Kaya... Do you like that name? she whispered in the puppy's ear. She responded with a twitch and a yawn.

Glad that Aeria had taken a liking to the name he had chosen he stretched out a little and allowed himself to relax in the warmth of the den, watching over his children.

As Aeria asked the puppy if she liked her name it seemed that even at this young age she understood that it was her identity now and forever. She was going to have the intelligence that her mother had, he was sure of it.

He turned his attention then to naming another of the puppies, watching as the marble coated little male moved to curl up against his fawny brother. This pup had a patterning that brought a smile to Gizmo's face. This pup needed a name that would give him character, a bold name which everyone would come to know.

How 'bout Snitch for marble pup? He pointed his nose in the direction of the one he spoke of and canted his head. There was something rather pleasant about that word and how it rolled off the tongue.

Aeria cocked her head curiously. Snitch? That's a cute name. And he is a very cute puppy. She watched as the marble pup nudged at his brother insistantly, clearly not as sleepy as his siblings yet. Yes, he seemed like he would be a lot of fun.

Just the pale one is left then. Aeria stared hard at the first-born male as he stumbled over his sister to get another drink of milk. How about Reza? It was an exotic-sounding name for an exotic-looking puppy.

Giving their own children names made Gizmo feel incredibly warm inside. For now they were no longer just things, they were wolves, individuals and he hoped they would like the names they had been given.

He turned his attention to the pale white pup that Aeria indicated next, the oldest but last to be named. Leave the best till last echoed in his mind as he waited for Aeria to think of something. He trusted she would know the perfect name for her eldest.

Reza. He repeated the name, tail wagging slightly, perfect, good name. Gizmo like. He exhaled and moved to lie his head on his paws, watching the newborns through half-lidded eyes. They were so beautiful.

A wave of fatigue flowed through him then, the excitement of all that had passed leaving him completely exhausted. One glance at Aeria and he wondered how she had managed to bring four puppies into this world with what looked like ease. He wasn't sure whether he would have managed.

After nap...I go hunt long-ears. He murmered, eyes finally falling closed, his body still blocking the entrance to the den, preventing entry to anyone.

Aeria smiled warmly as the male drifted off to sleep. Good, I'm hungry. With a big yawn, she adjusted herself so she was lying against Gizmo, feeling the warmth of his body against hers and the gentle rise and fall of his breathing.

The puppies responded accordingly, moving closer to their mother and curling up in a pile against her belly. They fell asleep almost instantly, exhausted from their journey into the world.

Lying there with her mate and their puppies, Aeria reflected on how far she and Gizmo had come. It seemed like only yesterday that they met in the woods, cold and alone. Now they were in a warm den with their family. She closed her eyes again, this time joining the others in their slumber. Life was good.

Gizmo's dreams were happy ones for a change, the warmth of being so close to another bringing him so much comfort. The den had become a cosy bubble free from the cold winds which indicated Autumn was drawing near and he felt safe.

A soft sigh passed between his lips, maw hanging open a little, ears and nose twitched in slumber and then after many hours had passed his eyes opened and he stirred a little groggily.

He had slept well and now it was time to fetch food for his mate who would rely on him to keep the little family comfortable and fed. Gizmo's hunting skills didn't get much further than killing long-ears, but at that he was skilled, being smaller and more agile he was more capable of killing smaller prey. It was something he took pride in, a skill he could use to help others; primarily his mate and pups.

He stood up on shaky limbs, and shook himself a little, peering at the others who appeared to be sleeping. The pups were still now, no movement except the occasional twitching of muscles. Then lowereing his head he touched his nose to one of Aeria's ears and whispered a promise of returning soon.

Clambering up and out into the cool world Gizmo realised how late it was becoming and hoped he would be able to find something. Evening was beginning to turn to night, and the greying sky was bleeding into black. He would hunt with the moon and stars watching over him in all their beautiful glory.

Not wanting to be away for longer than he had to it wasn't long before Gizmo broke into a run, his legs carrying him easily across the grass. He moved with a patient stealth that led him through the parting in the trees and down into a tiny meadow. Here he paused, nose ever twitching for scents. A fox was somewhere nearby which wasn't a good sign, it had probably scared all the long-ears away and that wasn't going to be much use. With a huff he continued along the hedgerow, peering this way and that and almost standing on a rat in the process. He snapped it up in his jaws with lightning fast speed and ate quickly. The morsal was small but large enough to quell his hunger for atleast a while.

Licking his chops he continued onwards, leaping up onto a slope of grass and peering down. From here he could see the river which looked like it had been filled with moondrops and before it lay the stretch of grass which did indeed have a few rabbits grazing.

With a smile he crouched low, wishing his fur was more adapted at blending in and began to circle the creatures. However before he could take another step there was a shrill cry and from the far side he saw the vision of the fox, streaming along on quick paws. It caught a rabbit just before it could get into its den, breaking is hind legs and dropping it briefly to allow it to crawl across the ground, squealing fearfully.

In seconds the rest of the rabbits were gone, white tails flashing in the dark as they dived into the safety of their burrows. Well this just wasn't fair! Gizmo growled in his throat - a sound he didn't often make unless it be playful - and set off after his smaller cousin with every intention of taking back what was his.

The fox paused, body trembling and eyes wide as it gazed upon the wolf and for a moment they stood staring at one another, the sound of the rabbit's squeals interrupting the peace of the night. Gizmo growled again and pounced forwards, catching the long-ears by its throat and breaking its neck with one swift bite.

Then with the deed done Gizmo turned tail and trotted back towards the den. He had never stolen a kill from under the nose of another animal before, but things had changed and he needed to provide.

Aeria awoke slowly, her eyes adjusting to the darkness of the den. She instantly noticed that Gizmo was gone; he must have gotten up already, perhaps to get food like he had said. She stretched lazily, confident that he would come back soon.

The new mother curled her body around the four tiny puppies and lay her tail over them, intent on keeping them warm. They squirmed a little bit and nuzzled closer to her. Aeria watched them with an expression of wonder on her face. To think that these amazing little creatures had been living inside her all along was still unbelievable.

Once all of the pups had positioned themselves just so, they began to fall asleep again. Aeria was tempted to join them in their nap, yawning and lowering her head to the ground once more, but she was going to wait for her mate. Eyes trained on the entrance of the den, she waited.

It wasn't long before Gizmo returned, a cloud sheathing the moon as he paused outside of the den. The hoot of an owl, the music of the little night bugs and the whistle of wind in the trees was the only other sound he could hear. His body shuddered as his breath misted before his muzzle, golden eyes alight like beacons in the dark.

No one was nearby.

No one...

Hopefully it would stay that way, he didn't want to carry out his threat to Gaara so soon, and now that the anger was fully gone from him he was beginning to regret it. There was no way he could take on that wolf and win. He would die, and it was important at this moment in time for him to live.

He slipped into the den and dropped the rabbit at the entrance, giving a cheerful whuff in greeting. He still feared for their safety here but he didn't like to bring it up so soon. Trying to put on a brave face he nudged the rabbit towards Aeria and canted his head.

Aeria wake?

Kaya whimpered somewhat from her side of the cave, she was tucked neatly in amongst rocks which guarded her securely at either side. The pup desperately tried to flicker her eyes open - with certain ambition too. Blinking away furiously, she saw no light, she saw no day, she saw nothing. Pure darkness which was surrounding her constantly.

The pup whined, tossing her head back down to the dirt below her, and barking furiously upon contact with it.

She had no idea where she was, where she was going, nor what she was doing. The darkness only making things worse for the little pup.

Thump!

She tilted her head up, only for it to collide with one of the siding rocks. Luckily, the collision was only enough to prove another bark, let alone do any major damage.

Kaya sunk lower, hopelessly, tail flat.

The beautifully coloured pup was already showing signs of devolpement, his mis-matched eyes blinking as he wondered happily towards his sister. Cocking his head curiously, he let out a high bark, wondering why she seemed unable to avoid crashing into things.

Scrambling a little closer he pressed his nose against Kayas shoulder, and looked into her milky white eyes, whining slightly as if to ask her what was wrong. He was already loving towards his family, and this pup showed that he would be extremely warm hearted.

The tiny wolf pup stirred from a deep slumber, his tiny body curled in a soft little ball as he slept against his mother's stomach. He had remained there solely due to the food that was nearby if he woke up and was hungry. The other comfort however had been the bodies of his siblings as they lay beside him.

However, the tiniest of yips reached his ears and he stirred, eyes opening as he was greeted with a tunnel of light filtering down into the den chamber.

With a cant of his head he uncurled, rolling clumsily onto his back before onto his stomach once more. He gave a small sniff of his nose and crawled forwards, still not used to walking as his brother. He was the youngest pup and therefore it was only right he would develop slower.

However there seemed to be something wrong with sister? What was it? He gave a small whimper and moved clumsily to stand beside his marble-furred brother, tilting his head downwards and nudging at Kaya with a nose.

Kaya barked loudly and fiercely at whatever was touching and prodding her. She was really very scared, shivering and shaking at that too. Blinking upward, her silvery eyes glimmered in contrast from the darkness, the white in the centre of the pupil glimmering as if it were diamond. But the blankness of Kaya's eyes was abnormal, she proved that, by gazing hopelessy around, making no eye contact with the two pups about her.

She slipped back into the corner, aimlessly hiding away from whatever was so interested in her. Only to bark and whine when things got too close and dangerous for her liking.

Where was this pup? Why was everything so dark and scary?!

His head was still cocked at his older sister, and his eyes flickering sadly. Wondering why she was so distressed he turned to his younger brother for an answer, nudging him with his nose in breif greeting.

Whining again he didnt try to touch Kaya for fear of scaring her even more. He looked into her milky eyes sadly but curiously. Snitch turned back to his brother, whimpering in concern and reclining with a deperate THUD.
