Eve Ill Zeeb Ra omgtehsuiso Eve Ill Zeeb Ra One thing I missed ... did George die? crying No, Fred did. George lost an ear. Yeah, I knew Fred died ... but they didn't say about George, so I was worried. crying George was seen later kneeling at Fred's head by the table where the dead were.

omgtehsuiso arddunaid It kicked a**! I just KNEW that Snape was a good guy all along. It just makes sense, that is always the theme: "Snape's bad! Haha, JK! He's good!" It was a good read. Also, entirely predictable. Most of what I expected wound up happening. Did you really expect Dudley to turn out to be not so bad after all, though? And Kretcher? "Master Potter, can I beat him over the head." "Maybe, Kretcher, maybe." What about Hermione taking Polyjuice of Harry and then undressing in front of him? Alright, much of it was as expected . . . but Rowling put in some things that I'd have only expected in a fanfic. I liked them, though. Eve Ill Zeeb Ra I knew -- premonitions again -- that either Lupin or Tonks would die ... didn't expect they would both die. Their death was one of the worst done parts of the book, though. It had about zero meaning, with no one seeing them die, then no one caring that they died . . . they died like unnamed characters.

So, my sister and I have been arguing about this ... maybe someone here knows better than we do, or has a better argument.
How did Neville get the sword?
My theory is that he used Godric's hat to summon it, and that the hat has no respect for Goblin concepts of ownership. My sister is more like "WTF?!" and "maybe" than offering actual theories.
Did anyone see it happen?

I felt she did the same thing to Sirius, so it didn't seem that much out of place to me.

Did anyone see it happen? The same way Harry got the sword. It doesn't matter where it was; the sorting hat rewarded Harry for acting like a true gryffindor and it did the same for Neville. Neville was just a little less awkward about it.

I seem to remember that he pulled it out of the hat. I assume that the hat got it back from the goblins through some sort of "inexplicable" magic, like what the house-elves have.
Seriously, Harry should have just told Kreecher to go and destroy Voldemort and all the Death Eaters. It would have been taken care of in just a couple weeks.
EDIT: Yeah, Neville kicked a**. He's probably one of my favorite characters in the series, just because he starts out as a dweeb and ends up as the cool hero. In fact, I really enjoyed how Rowling made a lot of the characters into heroes, Ron and Hermione destroying horcruxes, Mrs. Weasley becoming a ninja, etc.
And although I never saw any parts as being fanficcy, I do wonder if seeing her novels as movies changed her writing style at all. Some of the stuff just seemed designed for a movie rather than a book. But still cool.

Did anyone see it happen? Neville was ******** brave, man. Therefore, he gets some sword like Harry did in the second book. In other words, it's magic!

Too many Horcruxes laying around, and Kreecher didn't have the ingenuity to deal with the one. Even if he didn't know about how Horcruxes work, he should still have been able to figure out how to destroy one.

It's so weird that you guys missed stuff, I read the whole thing very slowly. I didn't want to repeat the mistake I made with the fifth one, reading it so fast that once I was done I hardly remembered anything but "what happened to Sirius, now?"

I'm gonna miss, like, all of them.
gonk
Because she probably won't make any more.
I'm hoping that it's like Sony saying that they won't drop the price on the PS3. "Oh, har-har, just lying bout that whole in a million years we'll drop it thing".
She could write about their kids. And it would be cute.

Yeah, but the thing would be a lot less interesting without a Somewhat Defeated Dark Lord to cause problems.
