"Only you two so far," Lore replied with a nod, "No one else with us can see them, and most people cannot," he explained to the twins.
Perhaps it would help them understand better.

They blinked. "Oh ..." they murmured together.
Starr pointed upwards again. "Well they're way up there," she said, looking at Lore. "I can't reach them."
"Neither can I," Storm blinked. "They moved."

Lore tried to hold them up a bit more so they could hopefully reach it.
"Can you reach it now?" he inquired.

Storm reached up as high as he could, stretching his wings out and flapping them a bit to try to get a little higher. His tiny fingers grasped, seemingly at air, and a tiny frown of frustration crossed his face.
"Starr, help me!" he requested, pouting at her.
Starr also tried to reach, but even she couldn't. Then again, she was only the tiniest bit taller than her brother, so little that it was barely noticeable, even if you were looking - so it was no surprise that she had no better luck.

Lore stepped close to the river, stepping as close as he would dare lest he accidently fall in. Then he slightly tried to reach out and slightly up, but not too much, because he didn't want to drop them.
"Better?"

The twins strained and stretched, but the threads were still high above their heads. They fidgeted in Lore's grip, trying to get just a little higher. "Still ... can't ... reach," Storm grunted.Starr just strained a bit harder.Skye tugged on Lore's robe to get his attention, looking up at him through her thoughtful blue eyes.

Lore blinked, realizing that someone else wanted his attention. He looked down to see Skye.
"Yes Skye?"

Skye pointed up at her little siblings, who were spreading their little wings as they tried so hard to reach whatever it was they were looking for - Skye was lost on that score.
"Maybe they fly?" she suggested to Lore. "Reach high?"

"I don't know if they can fly," Lore replied thoughtfully.
Since their wings seemed too small to support their body weight, but Skye seemed the same way too, so he wasn't so sure.

Skye shrugged. "Maybe if they fly, they can reach," she said thoughtfully, hooking her index finger on her lip. "Maybe Lore teach them fly?"
Since in her experience, Lore knew everything.

Lore sweated a bit, that wasn't going to work, he doubted they flew like birds would.
"I don't think I can," Lore replied as he tried to hold them up a bit higher.
It would help if he knew where it was.

Skye's wings drooped with disappointment. "Oh," she said softly, her face falling. She stepped back again, out of the way and murmured, "Well, Skye just had idea." The twins sighed and fell back into Lore's arms. "They keep going-""-further away," they explained, frustrated.

"Well it was a good idea," Lore murmured looking back at the twins.
He didn't think the threads would move, but then again he didn't know how they worked.
"Is there anyway to make them come to you?"

Storm looked at Starr, who looked back at him, then at Lore, and shrugged. "Maybe just wait?" she suggested. "Sometimes-"
"-they come back again," Storm finished for her. "They move around a lot."
"Especially when they're water or air threads," Starr nodded. "The other ones don't move so much."
"Not nearly so much," Storm agreed, also nodding.

"I suppose then we'll have to wait," Lore looked at the river as he pulled the twins back in, "It won't make the river overflow, and I don't think it'll last forever, but I don't know when it'll stop...."
