So that was it was it? The shot to the jaw, though it wasn't that spectacular, would soon hurt to all hell as the two of them punched and punched and punched until one couldn't punch anymore. That was the idea anyway if he remembered. When it all boiled down to it, the Saiya-jin with the strongest punch and greatest stamina was the better.

Bracing himself much like his adversary, he answered the right jab with one of his own, pacing himself so that the attack was strong enough to be felt. He could go all out from the beginning, but that would only increase the decline in his stamina. A steady pace, a firm fist, and strong resolve were needed. He didn't really need to think anymore, so long as he could punch.

Almost immediately after her attack failed - another secret joy in her heart - she took to the trees, moving swiftly and silently, thought not in direct pursuit of Epithany. She had said before she was a bad dancer. Her actions were usually swift and precise, not exactly as smooth as fluid and so she generally had to keep herself at a distance until she saw opportunity present itself.

That and she wasn't all to anxious to become more familiar with that large sword. A staff she might handle, but a blade...

To Epithany's left the woman fired from somewhere within 20 feet, a blast this time aimed at her mid section. She had difficulty picking a spot to fire upon, but the head just seemed far too barbaric for this woman. She would avoid damaging the face so long as she could.

Making a 100 degree arc further left, she fired again upon her prey, then thirty to the right, and then...everywhere. A flurry of them just came in from everywhere, though they all aimed at her midsection, which likely wouldn't make blocking difficult. The problem was they were growing in strength as well.

She really just wanted to knock this emerald haired woman unconscious. Then she could just hold her head in her lap and admire her sleeping frame. That would be nice.

Mani scared him. He had... some sort of hunger in his eyes. He didn't know what type of hunger either. For fighting? But these were... bioengineered creatures. They weren't exactly human. Wasn't this one the human-wolf one? Oh sweet Jesus, did the kid want to eat him? That seemed paranoid. ... Ug, those creepy hungry eyes.

He seemed shakened. That wasn't good. He looked at the lantern he held - it was his power source. The power rings needed a recharge after continued use since they had a limited amount of charge. That was the purpose of the lantern - you held the ring out to it and after a certain amount of time, it recharged.

Calvin brought his right hand to the opening where the green light glowed from within the lantern. Something nagged at him while he did this... like he was suppose to say something, like an oath or something... so he did. He said the first words that came to mind.

"In brightest day, in blackest night..." The lantern began to glow more intensely, even the ring seem to flare more.

"No evil shall escape my sight..." The two glowed brighter, warmer now. It was like even the lantern and ring knew that he needed this right now - and not just the recharge in power, either.

"Let those who worship evil's might..."Calvin stood up more firmly now, resolve and purpose flowing into him. This felt right. This felt like how he should have felt. It boosted him right when he needed it the most.

"Beware my power..." He was holding the lantern slightly from him with his right arm stretched completely out and the ring mere inches from the now almost overwhelmingly bright green light of the lantern.

"Green Lantern's light!" From within the lantern, it's green light exploded, pouring out of the metal thing and washing over Calvin. He looked up at Mani and Luke and suddenly a new uniform materialized over his own. It was skin-tight and a full body suit. It showed off his body - the top human physical condition after years of being in the military. Green covered most of the upper torso save for right under the arms. The part that covered the legs was black. He wore simple white gloves and simple green boots. There was a small mask over his face - it covered only his eyes completely and the top of his nose but not over it. Green eyes shined through - green eyes burning with green light. Finally, there was a symbol of a chest: A stylized green lantern.

Calvin looked this over, ran his hands over the symbol then looked back at Mani and Luke again, "Now this... this feels right." He suddenly launched forward towards, ready for whatever they threw his way. Felt like he could take on a planet. Knock around moons. Calvin was ready to fight.

....Yenek posted, and nobody really responded because he did nothing worth responding to. If he blatantly attacked someone, he'd get a response - aside from a subsequent tree rape.>>

::Jeez, that hurt, the boy groans silently in his head, still on the ground. What was that technique? He thinks he may've recognized it as the two layers punch, a maneuver his beloved has utilized more than once that he never bothered learning. So, Jagan knows it, too. The downside to Deity's Copy is that he can only mimic a move when it's used. While he'll still use it in a similar manner as he just did, he may just refrain for the rest of this fight.

Pushing himself up to one knee, the Orinian's attire can be seen to also have taken quite a beating. The right side of his shirt is gone, a small stretched bit of fabric holding the sweater in place around his midsection only. The collar is missing, and only a severed strip of cotton remains of his right sleeve. The dark jeans are thankfully spared for the most part, the knee of the left sleeve suffering a wide gash. All exposed skin is covered with dirt and spotted with minor abrasions, the spot where Jagan punched him a throbbing red. His trusty eyeglasses are gone, exhibiting the bloody red glow of his eyes, though his headband remains, despite looking a little dirty. This is more than can be said for his hat, pendant and locket - all three are missing. Deity can find them later, he reassures himself, though he's unsure whether he is making future plans to convince himself that he'll be able to carry them out.

Staggering slowly to his feet - now standing in a long ditch, at the end of which is a heavy collection of wood, snow and dirt - the boy firmly rubs the center of his chest with his left hand, wondering if Jagan is in as much pain as he is. That might've broken something. Gritting his teeth, his grabs at the remnant of his turtleneck with his other hand and tears it away, tossing it aside; he bites at his right sleeve to get it off before gripping his headband and shifting it completely out of his sight. So rare for his face to be uncovered outside of his bedroom. With his hat gone, his dark hair stands on end, long black spikes stretching upward in a wild fashion. Not unlike Fierce's hairstyle, actually.

Stepping forward a few feet, the quiet Tonepian takes notice of his father's arrival, and the return of Kirra's energy. Through the smoke and dust, he can just make out her half-clothed from as she flies off toward User. He smiles softly, happy that she's all right. The expression fades as his attention returns to his faraway opponent, who seems to be having a little more fun now. Perfect. Of course he is. The last thing Deity needs is to be in a life or death situation with a person who takes his best shot and has a great time doing it.

Shaking the thought and the ache in his chest from his mind, the boy's aura continues to course around him, that unrelenting pulse of ki rattling the ground around him. It flares intensely for just a moment however, a change in his power felt just then. It begins to rise again, swiftly and steadily, soon to come to a stop. Despite the immense strength he has displayed, he was hiding a little more than one may expect. Curling his right hand into a fist, the Orinian brings his left side forward, arm extending to Jagan with an open palm facing skyward. The back of his right hand down, he holds it near his stomach, keeping his eyes on Jagan - he'll let the bear make the next move.::

User took the punch, felt teeth rattle. It... it felt good. Hurt like hell but, but he loved it. It was the Saiya-jin way - to fight. Pain came along with fighting and perhaps Saiya-jins loved pain because it reminded them they were alive. Or maybe they were just bloodthirsty to the point of madnass - so bloodthirsty they would settle for their own. The Saiya-jin race was a warrior one, held together by honor. Centuries upon centuries of combat. It was glorious to be a part of its history and a part of these people.

User responded with a left handed uppercut. Slow and steady. Make the punches work but don't over do it. Slow and steady. Stamina, not strength, was going to win this now. No need to overdo himself.

Sensing the blasts shortly after they were fired she timed her jumps from branch to branch as beams crashing through the foliage towards her. Growing exasperated by the barrage the mage finally slowed and ceased moving as a number of beams sailed toward her.

Closing her eyes the mage began to chant in an indiscernible tongue. In the next moment energy began spiraling towards her waiting palm forming into a sphere of translucent energy. As the beams were about to hit, the sphere expanded outward. In a burst of raw of force all of the blasts were repeled every which way, bits of debris flooding the air.

Brandishing her staff, several runes began to glow brilliantly about its length. Arching violently about her hand remenants of the sphere remained. Sighing she gazed directly at the serpent women all pretenses set aside. She knew Diana was holding back. Anyone sensible would think this a god send, but deep down her pride was wounded.

(Sorry about the wait Keno! I was pulled to a Rascal Flatts concert that I wasn't planning on going too lol And yes I am enjoying this!)

Quote:
Finally he was getting serious, though apparently he was so desperate for that precious sword that he was practically shrieking like a child on the telepath channel.

She braced herself as he raced in for her, and though it surprised her that he didn't teleport, the fact that he didn't only meant that had more time to react than she otherwise would. His right fist coming for her, she answered by stepping to her right side so that his first punch went harmlessly by. His second punch was coming in like an uppercut, and no sooner than his fist connected with her abdomen, to which she hardly flinched, would her left fist simultaneously meet his right jaw, though her punch came much swifter and much stronger. He had the choice of standing his ground and losing his jaw or sprawling into a thicket of trees from the force.

She should probably just try to choke him. He obviously wasn't the type to be crippled and left for dead.

::Unks' face felt the surge of pain as she punched the right side of his way, she was fast and he respected that. His body was pushed back by the force and he landed within the trees. He got up and put his right hand on his jaw to make sure it was still intact, thank goodness it was. His eyes met her's once more as he looked on.

He now felt that Epithany was now fighting, but she managed to catch the Beastmans Fang before it got to far away. Oh I hope she doesn't blame me for that. .She'd kill me. Unks' blue-green eyes never left Raion as he started doing a series of hand symbols in the order of; Ox, Hare, and Monkey.

His energy so high Unks barely had to concentrate as his left hand took hold of his right wrist which was palm facing upwards. Soon his hand was completely covered in what looked like lightning, but it was raw energy. He looked up at the woman and kicked off the ground. Unks was moving at his top speed teleporting in and out of sight in a different spot everytime he reappeared.

When he was once again right infront of her, he thrusted his hand forward directly at her heart with such speed and force he would be amazed if she didn't get ripped in to two pieces::

"Chidori No-Jutsu!"

He probably should have attacked while the lantern guy was chanting, but it sounded so cool. AND IT RHYMED! surprised

Now he looked different too. A lot cooler really! Way cooler! It was worth the wait, and Mani got the chance to mimic the guy behind his back as he did so. Yup, he decided that teleporting would be a good idea because despite how awesome his opponent now looked...

...Luke had fired his ki wave. It was strong enough entirely vaporize most all metals known to man within a matter of ten second's consistent exposure. Still quite unsure of the nature of this being, he hadn't detected a power up of any sort, though it seemed to him that if nothing else the man looked a lot more refreshed than before.

He had hoped Mani might join him from the other side, but instead it looked as though the boy was waiting to see what would happen. That was probably due to the vulnerability of remaining idle that Luke had to endure until the attack was complete or canceled. Still though, he hadn't been nearly as patient as the adolescent. With any luck, the lantern and its bearer would have little chance to evade or even produce another shield.

Jagan was in the middle of rotating his shoulder blades when the lighter of the two got back up. He was quite a distance off, but now there wasn't much to obscure his view. He didn't want to admit he was a bit stiffened by the attack, but he figured since the other guy was having a bit more trouble getting up, he'd take the time to stretch the necessary parts at least a little.

He still had more power? Well that was nice. Not wanting to underestimate what may or may not happen, Jagan decided to just let it all out before continuing since the two were at least a good mile away from each other. A brown aura surrounded his body like a veil and then erupted from his person, successfully clearing away anything that had once been a shambled mess within a fifteen yard radius. How far the force reached he could not say, but it wasn't meant as an attack anyway. Rather it was just a consequence of the rapid release of his power which metaphorically was contained in a balloon that could barely withstand the pressure.

His aura returned to its translucent veil like form, its effects dying down to restore the area to a calm once again. Despite all of his power, he had no trouble containing it all within his body. Nothing particularly special, but it kept the battle field from quaking.

On the move now, he advanced like a blur, his body movement seeming to suggest that he was merely jogging. Anything able to clock him, which would have to be an advanced piece of technology considering the short distance he was about to cover (short for him anyway) would give an estimate of roughly two and a half million feet per second. That was the speed at which he was approaching for a rather unspectacular left hook aimed directly for the right side of Deity's face, which was now more exposed than it had been just a moment ago. Not a half bad looking man. Kinda young though, only a few years older than Mani. Impressive.

He was back in his boxing stance, at least he was from the waist up. Bowers didn't often jog into battle after all. His left foot caught him when the time came to stop before Deity and let his fury fly. Should the hook connect, he'd answer in turn immediately with a jab to the torso to keep the rhythm going. He'd have smacked his hands together, but he wasn't wearing gloves so it'd probably look stupid.

His body lifted to the balls of his feet, but the upper cut hadn't moved him from his spot. Suddenly much more aware of his tongue's presence, he was glad he hadn't bitten down on it. That would have hurt no matter how strong you were. Coming back into a firmer stand, he aimed the same right fist to the same left jaw.

This was a battle of stamina alright, but it'd be a lot easier to soften one area real nice and then beat the s**t out of it later. Besides, the jaw was closer to the brain the chin. It should be a lot easier to disorient his opponent that way.

Well she was on the ground now, with not a tree between them. Though she looked very innocently confused, she was entertained that she was actually fighting someone different. That improved Epithany's odds of survival greatly because Diana had no idea how any one of her attacks might affect the dear woman, and what in turn might happen to her. This was simply delightful.

She didn't waste time thinking about it too much though. The time for dumb looks was over and she streaked back over to Epithany, bobbing and weaving the entire way, though she hadn't begun slithering. She was actually running, but on the off chance that anything might be projected at her, she hoped she'd have a chance of avoiding it better this way.

Closing in on her bounty, or what she would love to be her bounty, her zigzag dash grew narrrower, no more than ten feet wide. Although this also meant her approach was slowed down, it wasn't a great deal too much, nor very important. Before making a wide dash to her right, Epithany's left, the female serpent swung heavily with her left arm at the woman's right knee. She meant to actually fracture the joint and immobilize her, because if she did, then maybe Epithany would give up trying to save her husband and just sit quietly with her until the fight was over.

Were it not for the voices in her own head, except for Ravana who was prodding her to go berserk, she'd be particularly brutal at the moment. Mindless slaughter of this man satisfied her appetite a lot more than trying to simply keep him still. If he was dead he'd be still. Real still. Stiff too.

What he was doing now seemed to be another elemental command technique. First there had been the earth itself, followed immediately by ice of all things. Now he was using electricity. Did he s**t fire and vomit hurricanes too? At least electricity was a form of energy, excited ions and what not with a charge. She could neutralize if she tried, though it was hardly her expertise and there were probably more conventional methods for dealing with this problem.

Again he lunged for her as though she would not see it coming, and again she took a large enough step to her right to dodge it. This time however, she caught his wrist, while at the same time striking the inside of his elbow. Her golden aura flared, appearing like little more than steam, but very dangerous. What she did this time was turn his arm back. In a rapid motion she guided his wrist in her left hand to his abdomen, while her right hand guided the angle of his bicep. He'd himself with his own attack thanks to her.
