She looked to him for a moment, then turned back to the invisible trail before her. After a few seconds, she said, "I have nothing to leave behind..." the tone of her voice was emotionless. Indeed, that's how she felt. All she knew, all she had ever known, was gone, wisped away from her by the cold hands of Death and Destruction. Again, she said, "I hold no purpose..."

((Sorry I haven't been on lately. College is making me keep better hours. stressed ))
"This lowly one believes that people live not only by fate, but by choice. The course of life can be determined by goals and dreams. This one would ask you again, what do you want to leave behind? Good, or evil?"
They entered the clearing where Shinta had left Cheebs, who was still snoozing peacefully on the grass. With a smile at Aideki, the swordsman went over and picked up the little keros in his arms.
The little winged creature fluttered his eyes sleepily and snuggled in Shinta's arms, then noticed Aideki. "Hello lady. Who'er you?"

((np... I'm pretty busy on the weekdays any how)) On the way into the clearing, Aideki ventured to answer Shinta's question, "What do I...want to leave behind?..." she thought for a moment, her eyes peering into the deep recesses of her mind. There was a lot she wanted to leave behind...and even thinking of the idea of leaving behind all that she hated and didn't care for made her thoughts drift off into elsewhere, far beyond life, "I want to leave behind...everything... All the pain, feeling, hate, death... everything. I want to leave behind my body. It's a cage, a prison for my soul and for..." she cut herself short, realizing she was getting a little too ahead of herself. Her eyes looked around, trying to change the subject when Shinta picked up the odd creature. The small yellow animal-like thing asked her a question, but her crimson eyes fell away from both Shinta and that who he held and continued on towards the Pagoda without another word.

"Your body...it is a prison for...that thing within you?" Shinta asked loudly to her departing back.

Aideki came to a slow stop, her head turning slightly as if to face him, but stopped short. "If I were you," she began, her voice a low drone as it glided upon the same curruents which carried that of the falling cherry blossoms, "I'd keep my nose out of where it didn't belong." With that said, she started off once again through the forest.

Shinta straightened and stared at Aideki, wondering how he could get through to her. "Is that a threat Miss?" His voice had a slight edge to it. "It won't work, since this one already knows the truth, just not the 'how' and 'why' of it. Would you like to tell me?"

As not to stop again, yet facing him all the same, she swung around and continued on walking, backwards though so she could face him, "A threat? HA!" Her laugh was short, sudden, and was coldly hollow, lacking all sense of amusment, "It's advice, more like it, and you're better off listening to it," as for his other question, she ignored, giving him a wink and turning back to her former position as she broke free of the woods and rounded off near the lake, where she came to a slow stop, as if by some sort of silent whisper caught her attention. ((*switches to lake thread*<--- I guess I have to, yeah?))

Shinta sighed and ceased to follow her.
"May you find peace." He muttered.
Turning he gegan walking back through the forest, the cherry blossoms falling around him like pink snow.

The swordsman sighed and ceased to follow her.
"May you find peace." He muttered.
Giving cheebs a comforting pat, he turned and began walking back the way he came,, the cheery blossoms falling around him like pink snow.

Dyanel came walking up with holding out her hand as a few cherry blossom petals fell to her hand. She grasped them carefully as Cheebs stood up curiously on his hind legs and smelt around. He looked at Shinta with a large grin.
"My mommy is back," he said happily floating up into the air with his wings flapping quickly and silently like a humming bird.

The swordsman smiled and bowed to her. "It is good to see you Dyanel-dono. This one hopes that you are well."
Shinta's face became serious and he bowed again, this time almost apologetically. "Cole-san requested this one to inform you of some news: he has journeyed to another realm with Hikari-dono in the hopes of finding her mother, from whom she recieved a vision just after you left."

Dyanel gave a bow back to Shinta as Cheebs landed on her shoulder.
"Thank you Shinta, but just call me Dy, or else I'll start calling you Master Shinta," Dyanel said with a small grin.
Cheebs nuzzled her. "Mommy can we go eat now?" he asked smiling.
Dyanel laughed. "You're always hungry," she remarked. She looked at Shinta. "Would you care to join us?" she asked with a large smile.

"Thank you Miss Dy, this one would be happy to accompany you." Shinta smiled and held out his arm to Dyanel in an old-fashioned gesture of chivalry.

Dyanel smiled and took Shinta's arm. Cheebs climbed up to the top of Dyanel's head and plopped down look up at Shinta.
"Shinta-Dono was very kind to me mommy, he let me take a lot of naps," Cheebs remarked looking at a butterfly that came close to him. He stuck out his paw to touch it but it flew off.[
Dyanel looked up smiling a bit, she turned and looked at Shinta. "Well, I knew I had left you in good hands," she said proudly./color]

Shinta chuckled as he watched Cheebs play with the butterfly. "Thank you Miss Dy, it was pleasure."
Rubbing the back of his head with his free hand, Shinta added sheepishly, "Cheebs-kun seems to have adopted this one's manner of speaking..."
He shrugged apologetically, then clasping Dyanel's arm in his, he envisioned the kitchen and the three dissappeared.
